How do I handle putting tapir ocs, what they do?

Didn't know the place to put it, but I was thinking of making tapir characters, only issue: its tempting to give em dream powers but I don't want them to entirely trivilize Luna's existence, she was completely exausted during a royal problem due to that thing, so if she could have a entire race help her I doubt such a issue woulda happened... is that a dumb thought

I imagine it would depend on the details. What sort of dream powers would they have? What sort of scope? Were they able to, or did they start to use them recently, or for a long time already? Can they all do it, or is it a talent?

Idk just got vague ideas, I asked someone else and they said nightmare eating, cause ya know, baku, but idk if that would make Luna's fighting nightmare thing a little weird, just was considering adding the baku, is that weird to just have general idea of dream powers cause of their mythical link to the baku?
