My first Pony drawing - Derpy Hooves

I'm not all that pleased with how it turned out but it is my first attempt at drawing a pony. I figure I will get better the more I practice. It's a digital painting done in photoshop on a Bamboo drawing pad.

While the facial anatomy needs some work, the rest of it looks absolutely great! Not bad at all for a first pony drawing; in fact, rather impressive.

Yea I didn't see much of the flaws in the facial anatomy till now, especially the eyes. Just looking at it again made me see that. Ty for the compliment.

This is an outstanding first attempt and hopefully the first of many. Your at the point where you really just need more practice. You seem to have your basics down. The 2 things i do to identify my mistakes are flipping the image on the x axis ( you might have seen this before if you watched any speed paints) and just taking a break. If I like a piece then I take a 1 hour break and if I still think its good when I come back then I know I wont be surprised by something that I would only notice after I had posted it.

I really like the background that you've done, the colors really blend together. I've noticed that Derpy's mark's missing from her. Aside from that and the facial feature that needed work, you've done a great job.
