A soft nudge had woken her up, her composure had been struck down her, by Carrick Damn Murphy. An earth pony whose tongue should be cut off by Ice Star...if only she would be able to get him. The numbness of her horn had really felt odd to her, she was still felt utterly useless. She looked at the pony in front of her, this pony wasn't part of the group. She gave a snide look, "Are you here to kill me?"

Carrick looked at each of the lines that were created by Starbolt. Carrick remembered a bit what she did with her first runic spell, it wasn't the worst looking spell, but it wasn't the best. Now, a day later she had created something else, something had looked like a master of spells had created. Nothing look sloppy, there wasn't any tilted lines, there were no screw ups, it was...precise. Carrick looked intently at it. As if he was a unicorn at the spell. "Fascinating," Carrick thought aloud.

Hypno chuckled "Of course not" he said "I'm only here to talk to you, we could even be friends if you'd like. And seeing your condition and situation i think you'll need a few of those." He explained to her and the most kind and friendly tone he could gather up.

Starbolt didn't notice Carrick watching. She turned around. "You were watching me? Not that I don't like it I uhh..." She asked him blushing slightly.

'How long was he watching me?' She thought to herself.

Snow gave a soft laugh, "Friends? I don't need friends...all I need is Ice Star. Our glorious savior! He'll come save me....just you watch!" Snow exclaimed.

"Yeah, I was." Carrick rubbed his chin, he notice the slight redness in her cheeks. He took note of it, but didn't make a conclusion. "I was just curious on what it would look like, seems like it should be pretty good. The technique you have made rune circle has improve vastly and it's only been a day. I'm impressive." Carrick smiled.

Thunder had been sitting in the corner and saw Hypno talking to Snow, nearly at the point of tearing both of their heads off when he heard Hypno talking about friendship.

Hypno gave a slight frown before smiling kindly again "Well, i hope he does then, looks like you need saving from someone. But i disagree with that 'I don't need friends' fiasco. Even i get quite lonely after a while" he said with a shrug. "How about a few questions. What is your name?"

Carrick blinked, she is acting strange. She is stuttering quite more than usual. Hmm, maybe she's tired? Maybe, she's nervous that the rune circle won't work. Hmm, maybe she's sick. Those cheeks are pretty red, maybe she should rest? Carrick adjusted his fedora, "Well, you have. It's good to have such a powerful magic user on our team." Carrick compliment her again.

Carrick looked at her with confusion, a lot more theories came popping in Carrick's head. "Are you okay, Starbolt? You seemed a bit flustered."

'Oh you've done it now Starbolt.' She thought to herself knowing she could barely speak properly in front of somepony who speaks so well.

"Ahh, four years older than me, well... Technically four years older." he said in response. "Anyways, third and final question for now. Do you trust me at all?"

"N-" Her body stopped her, something felt wrong. She couldn't tell if she why she couldn't finished saying that word. Was she wrong? Does she trust him? This random pony, who she didn't know until now. Could it be those eyes? She didn't know, but she reluctantly said "Y-yes."

"Alright, I'll be here if you need me." Carrick said as he sat down. He grabbed his notepad and started writing notes, he was curious to her actions, her stuttering, her blushing, how she felt nervous. However, he had to organize his notes. Carrick might be forced to fight Twilight Sparkle not only in battle, but in wits. Everypony knows how smart she is, if there was any type of interrogation, he might actually lose. He doesn't like losing...especially with an important case like this.

She went back and continued working on the rune symbol drawing out line after line with her magic.

'Hopefully this won't back fire.' She thought as the rune started to form.

 

Hypno brightened up due to her response "Swell" he said. "My name is Hypno, by the way" he added "You seem like a cool gal compared to these ponies, one of them even tried to incinerate me too." he explained with a sigh

Hypno completely ignored his question and turned to Thunder. His bomb threat put him off "Your on thin bucking ice my pedigree chum. And i will be under it when it breaks" he said "Now buck off"

Thunder turned to Hypno and walked up until he was inches from his face. "Don't even try to defend her. She's probably the most disgusting piece of filth I've ever seen," he growled at him before trotting upstairs.

Hypno turned back to Snow with a slight chuckle, his mood flipping back. "He seems to not really like you He said with a shrug. He sat down in front of her and relaxed himself.

Snow was confused about this pony, he seemed to change his personality in an instant. Does he likes her like that? She couldn't tell from this pony, maybe he's just...crazy? Who knows..."He doesn't understand the full story. He thinks I stole a filly and kept her in the closet. It's not the full story."

"Ah, that's too bad. I don't think that stealing a filly should equal bomb execution though" he said "Maybe if you explained the full story to me, i could convince him not to or something?" he asked

"It wouldn't do much," Snow concluded, "some ponies would not see the errors of their ways. I know I don't. He would find someway to see that I had a choice in the matter." Snow looked down. "I'm just listening to my love, Ice Star. He said that I should take care of it....so I did." Snow was being vague.
