Well I find this thread absolutely necessary at the moment. I just watched a movie that made me absolutely furious, because of the ending. So please I beg of you to share your thoughts of what you thought were awful endings to movies.

I'll start things off with 28 Weeks Later. I'll put spoilers on this just in case you wanted to watch this movie. Heaven help you if you do...

I just watched 28 Weeks Later on TV just barely and I thought it was a totally unnecessary sequel to a good zombie film. The movie leads you on with these characters that you get attached to and want to see be the saviors of humanity. One of the kids has this supposed "immunity" to the Rage virus that creates the zombies and so the whole movie is about a couple US Army soldiers trying to evacuate this kid. The shit hits the fan when the whole city is infected and this group is trying make it to a stadium to be airlifted. At the end, the soldiers die but the kids make it to the helicopter and escape. However, it doesn't end there, because it turns it was all for nothing and the zombies had taken over Paris. The helicopter that was transporting the kids was in ruins. WTF

28 Weeks Later...

"Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen" It's an K' movie don't get me wrong here and I enjoy it for what it is. However, when they decide to make a sequel that basically creates mayor plot holes in the series, that's when you think how absolutely desperate they were at that point.

I thought the end of Return Of The Jedi could have been better...I don't know how but I think nearly anything but dancing Ewoks would have worked for me lol

I refuse to let go until you're impressed.

Totally agree. That movie made me want to rage quit out of the movie theater. I just felt icky after watching that movie.

The whole movie was an enormous disappointment, if you ask me. The ending was simply a reminder that special effects cannot rightfully replace a good story.

This. While good special effects can cover up a meh story (see: the other two Michael Bay Transfromers movies), they cannot coverr an abysmal one.

Does anime count? There are actually 2 different endings (maybe 3) for Neon Genesis Evangelion; the series ending, and the movie ending. Evangelion is a strange one, but no one is really sure what happened at the ending.

This is a rant that Shinji's voice actor made for the series ending.

Basically, the world ended, and all human consciousness fused together. But in the end, Shinji decided he wanted to go on living, after the world has just ended.

Then there is the movie ending than can only be described by this picture.

In this version, Shinji stops the plot to fuse minds together, but he may have been too late. In the end, we see him murdering Asuka, who is already dead, and the souls of mankind float overhead. The end. Who knows what happens after that.

Even the creators hate the endings, and are completely remaking Evangelion to fix the ending.
