"Also when can I get these things off?" She asked shaking her hoof-cuffs.

"When we find somepony to take them off," says Scout, "I'm not used to such foriegn objects as these. Pinkie, you know anything about them?" he asks. When she gets them off, I can fly again. It's not that I don't like carrying her; it's that I need to clear my head before my guilt drives me crazy.

Sapphire kept cralling, leaveing a thin blood trail behind her, were her head had been inpailed, she was cralling over to swift, she got in talking range and started to say something "swift! are you okay?"

"I wish I could get these things off. They are extremely uncomfortable." She mumbled to herself.

Starbolt looked back and saw the smoke rising. 'We will stop those Lunarians.' She thought to herself as Scout carried her.

"Alright Starbolt, I'll give it my best shot," he says, sliding her off his back and tinkering with the cuffs and collar. All of this... technology... Where did it come from? We have the best magic users in Equestria, the fastest flyer, and the pony best for moral. They have the strongest fighter on the ground. WE'RE the ones who should have this stuff... Gah! Stupid device! He smashes the cuffs against the ground, which causes them to malfunction and slip off*

Starbolt stood up. "Thanks Scout. How did you know they would come off if you hit it on the ground like that?" She asked him.

Fae flew behind again making sure they weren't followed.

(OOC Heading to bed night everypony.)

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

"I didn't. I was simply frustrated. I know about as much about these confounded things as a worm knows that it will die in 3 days," he said, taking a look at her collar. Magic-locked. I can't use magic. Where's the failsafe? The guys at the barracks said there's always a failsafe!

"Well thanks for getting them off." She said with a smile. "Now if only I could get this collar, I could be useful again." She said to Scout.

Starbolt stood up on her own now happy to finally move on her own.

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

I wonder what this button does... He jabs the button and the collar fizzes out, and then drops to the ground, where it implodes. "Huh. That was easy. Gotta wonder if that's on purpose or not..." he says snapping out his wings, "Anyways, I'll be back soon, I gotta clear my head." *Takes off*

As Scout flew off, Pinkie looked to Starbolt. "We should get into the castle and report to Princess Celestia what happened. Or better, Twilight, who can then tell the princess. Anyway, we should get inside."

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

Scout landed on the roof of a turret that was barely visible. He can barely be seen shaking, with a hoof to his face. He was facing the forest, and he slammed his hoof down. Buck, Swift, why! Why'd you make me burn my home! I have nothing left. Nothing... but Starbolt. And I'll be bucked if I let her down now.

Starbolt nodded as she and Fae followed Pinkie to the castle. "Will Princess Celestia be upset at us for losing Ponyville?" Starbolt asked in a worried tone.

Fae noticed Scout. 'Starbolt, Scout seems upset.' She told her.

Starbolt saw Scout up on the top of a roof. 'Well I hope I don't mess this up. Shame to come all this way and die because I fail a spell.' She thought to herself as she teleported next to him. "Good thing that worked." She mumbled to herself. "Scout, are you alright?" She said sitting next to him.

He immediatly sat up and looked away, wiping the tears of his face, "Fine. I just... scratched myself in a weird place, is all," he says while secretly scratching his arm on the top of the turret. "It stings a bit," he adds. You, are a terribad lier.

"Scout I know when something is bothering you." She told him.

Starbolt hugged him. "It is the forest, isn't it." She said as she embraced him. "It will grow back Scout. That's the Everfree it lasted this long, why would it die now." She said.

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

He sighs, "The Everfree will grow back, yes. We probably didn't burn it all down. But when it DOES grow back, everything will be different. I used to know my home like the back o' my hoof, and now it's gone forever. Starbolt, I have something very important to ask you. I don't want some pity answer, either. I tryed to ask you at the Gala, but... I guess you didn't hear me. Starbolt, will you bee my special somepony?" he asks, looking out towards the forest.

A loud bang materialized out of nowhere behind them. "Woohoo, this calls for a party! Everypony can come, and we can have cake, and fun, and more cake!" Pinkie shouted as she fired her party cannon over Starbolt and Scout.

The partycannon shoots Scout of the turrets and onto the wall below it. He twitches, "Is that how... they say hello where you come from?"Darnit Pinkie! I was being serious, and now I'll never get a get a marefriend!

((OOC: I think I recall shooting over you, and when I say that, I mean way over you, like, no danger whatsoever, so let's rewind a bit and have you sitting by that turret, shall we?))

 

"We can have punch, dancing and even more cake," Pinkie squealed, Scout and Starbolt clearly surprised as they continued sitting where they were.

Pinkie then disappeared from sight via a small window behind her, and the two ponies were left to themselves. Pinkie had other things to do anyway. Now all she had to do was find Twilight.

He slowly flew back to the roof of the turret and waited for Starbolt's answer. I wonder what excuse she'll come up with to spare my feelings. I hope it's good. And true, too. Either way, I will protect this mare with my life.

Starbolt was surprised at Pinkie's appearance. Pinkie left after a while. "Ummm...." She thought about what Scout said.

"Sure Scout." She finally said as she smiled at him.

 

Fae followed Pinkie as she walked towards the castle.

He blinked once, then twice, then grinned. "You're sure? Like, for reall? You'll be my marefriend?" he asks again, not quite sure. I am really really happy right now. I think, if something were to ruin this, I would definately 'flip out.'

"Yes, I'm sure Scout." She said smiling at him. "For real." She said as she hugged Scout.

Fae wondered what was the point in all of this. She gathered several nearby herbs and started making a potion to pass the time.

He grinned from ear to ear and hugged her back. Yay yay yay! I have a marefriend! Wait, I have a marefriend. What am I posses to do? Is this the part where we kiss? Oh Celestia, I'm gunna screw this up because I have no relationship experience. The guys said to just stop thinking and do what comes natural... I have to possibilities... I'm gunna go with this one. He kisses Starbolt.
