I never go on Steam for the sole reason that if I do, I know I'll wake up the next morning, my face mashed against the keyboard and my wallet empty. Well, it already is empty, but that's beside the point.

 

I'm easily satisfied with one or two games with high replay value. For this reason, I just get a few (usually rts) games that I think I might like, and then I won't have to worry about anything else for the next few years.

 

For example, Rome Total War has lasted me almost six years so far.
