thegoodhen 698 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 (edited) Hi guys! I made a Fluttershy out of polymer clay. This stuff is just awesome. You model it (and it's much easier to work with than regular clay) and then put it in oven and it hardens and becomes awsum. Here ya go: The wings are little bit dark, I left it in the oven for just a teeny meeny little bit too long. But it looks like it's on purpose. xD Edit: Sorry for putting this in wrong section, Feld0. Edited July 22, 2012 by thegoodhen
One 498 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 Well the mane looks a little weird and as you said the wings are to dark. But other than that it looks very good. 1 This is a signature.

Nouth 496 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 Looks great ! Ears could be a tiny bit smaller, and I suppose that it's not possible to make cutie marks with this material ? I forgot about the cutie mark once again -_- Never mind. Now it might be good to say that the eyes are made out of paper and glued in place. I will probably do the cutie mark the same way. thegoodhen 698 July 22, 2012 Author Share July 22, 2012 (edited) Oh awesome I like this much :3 Great job Oh, thanks! This is actually my first ever clay sclupture. Once I find out how to combine this with microchip programming, I might as well start selling... I don't know what yet, but... Definitely something. (I mean, blinky ponies are too much of a fancy chinese-fake fashion, but what then? ) Edited July 22, 2012 by thegoodhen

Jokuc 8,173 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 It's very good! I don't think I have seen anypony post something like this on the forums actually. (there probably are many, I maybe just haven't seen it). The only things I can think of which you could have done better is - Make the ear a bit smaller - The eye looks a little bit odd, maybe it is the correct shape and just placed a little bit wrong, I can't really tell. I must ask, is it fun to do stuff with clay? How long does it take?

I must ask, is it fun to do stuff with clay? How long does it take? Hey man! It took me something under an hour to do it. I planned it ahead and made myself a model out of a regular clay beforehand tho, and that one took me more than 2 hours to make. I could say that it was fun, yes. Sorry about delayed reply, but you didn't quote me and I didn't get any notification.
Azura 1,107 July 24, 2012 Share July 24, 2012 It looks decent, though it could have been better if more time was spent on it. How did you manage to create something like that with clay? I was also wondering why her wings, ears and hooves are red. My Signature Shop!-=-=-=-=-Art Collection!-=-=-=-=-A Signature Tutorial! Also known as "Cloud Chaser". My Ponysona, Azura. I was also wondering why her wings, ears and hooves are red. It's a special clay. It's easier to work with than the regular one. And, yeah, well, I burned it. But it doesn't look that bad IRL, it's just the 7 year old mobile phone camera. Thank you very much!
