Why do people think rainbowdash has a crush on pinkie pie?

yeah but none of that can be called evedence because i know many tomboys and i've had relationships with women with the same attitude , and only one of them was/became a lesbian/bi

Yeah.

Again these small little details that hint at the thought of her being lesbian is enough proof for shippers and cloppers(Not a clopper, but have read them before) that shes lesbian. But in the show she really doesnt seem like a lesbian.

What is this tread lightly does thou speak of?

**What is this "thread lightly" thou speakest of?**

Who is that and why should I care?

He's a character who has been labeled as gay by the majority of the 'Gurren Lagann' fanbase, and you shouldn't care, because if you don't see him as gay then you could just watch the show keeping that belief and perspective in mind, if you catch my drift. ;)

The problem is, you managed to think that because a fanon idea so damn popular, it's also must be a canon stuff. Not everything implied fluff in the show are canon

It's not writer perspective, it's your perspective wrongly interpreting what the writer want to tell on the show

Just because you think it's true, it doesn't mean it was canon.

Oh no, you did it again. You assumed that because someone doesn't detest the idea of shipping, "they must believe it's canon!" I merely said that it shouldn't be considered impossible just because the show hasn't spelled it out for the fans. It's that kind of over detailed writing that turns a story into a uninspiring, boring, condescending, grade-school-level piece of work in my honest opinion.

I, like most others, am fully aware of the fanon status of main character shipping, and I think I can speak for those people when I say that they should be considered as nothing more than what-if situations. I personally don't think they should write shipping into the the canon story because that doesn't feel like it should be in a series called '"Friendship" is magic'. Right now that stuff right where it belongs in my opinion, in fan works! And, unlike what you seem to be forcing off as "my opinion" (thank you very much http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png), I have no desire for that to change whatsoever.

That reminds me of something else. If memory serves me right, you're 25 years old, (and no, I can't be bothered to confirm,) that means you are a good seven years older than I am. So I highly doubt I have to tell you that if you don't like looks of a certain story, you should just avoid it. Any proper story should have a description of it available to draw in readers, if this description is incomplete or non-existent then it is not worth your time to find out whether or not it will be to your liking. If it blatantly lies to you, then report it to whoever moderates the website it was posted on. Nobody is forcing you to get involved in shipping if you don't like it. (At least, so I hope, for your sake. But please, tell me if I'm wrong about that.)

Also, You seem to know so much about me and how I write stories. I'm honored someone like you took the time and effort to not only read every single story I've written so far, but also to give me such a detailed, accurate and applied review on my work. Thank you soooo much!

I hope the sarcasm in that one was obvious enough. I'm kidding of course. You clearly have read none of the stories I've written so far because if you had, at the very least you'd be able to tell that not only do I absolutely refuse to write anything that could outright be labeled as porn for any of the shows I watch, but I also have yet to write any shipping of any sort into my stories. So yeah, your smart-ass comment doesn't really apply that well now, does it?

By the way, I'm fully capable of interpreting what a writer intends to tell with a story, but guess what... Sexual preferences cannot be guessed simply from someone's outward behavior, it needs a "word of god" to be confirmed or overthrown. So as long as the creators refuse to give the fanbase said "word of god", all characters are fair game for speculation. And besides, if the creators aren't bothered by the interpretations of their character's sexuality, then why should you and I, the fans, be bothered by it? Or to be more precise, why should we waste our time being bothered by it.

They are both young adult females with almost the same mindset and type of personality, it's not hard for them to play together without any sexual inenduo, but you and other shippers decided to interpret their innocent friendship as something oh_gosh_I_wanna_take_you_to_the_bed level.

**I take it you mean to write: "oh-gosh-I-wanna-take-you-to-bed level"?**

I'm going to go ahead and assume you're a brony, and I'm also going to assume that by extent of that you've had occasions where you've had to explain to people (or at least thought silently) that you're not some creepy person who:

- likes little children in an inappropriate way,

- likes the ponies of the show in an inappropriate way,

- likes real horses in an inappropriate way,

- spends all of their time on pony related stuff,

because people over generalized something like that. Well, this may surprise you but, likewise, not all fanfiction is written to be shipping, and even more importantly, not all shipfics are written to be porn!

On another note, you are making the same kind of assumption you claim to dislike. Nowhere in the series has their age been mentioned, for all you know Pinkie might be just that little bit older than the Cutie Mark Crusaders , barely enough to warrant her physical appearance, while Rainbow Dash could be on at the upper limit of that threshold. (Which would respectively make them a pre-teen and a full fledged adult, in case you're wondering.)

Their mindset is really only alike in the fact that they like to laugh, and let's be honest, who doesn't like to laugh? Other than that they have completely different ways of thinking, most easily displayed by their uninfluenced opinions of Gilda. And even the laughter thing is a fairly small factor because safe for a select few episodes, Dash is primarily occupied with looking awesome while Pinkie does keep herself busy with getting smiles on people's faces. That's another thing by the way, Pinkie primarily tries to make others laugh, while Dash does stuff to give herself some laughs.

Haha, well...obviously because she's a devout tomboy. Strange thinking on some people, you know. A lot of girls have a tomboy phase when they're younger, and Dash is no exception! Does that mean every girl that is a tomboy for a while turns lesbian? No way!

On the other hand though, I am surprised more people don't think Pinkie could be into very...."wild" parties when she's older. After all, that pony loves having a great time. Wouldn't be surprised if she pulls off some suggestive stuff as a joke.

I mean, if that's okay with you...

Has just as much, if not more to do with the fact she's a tomboy than it does she has rainbow colors. Tomboy = lesbian is a huge stereotype.

Good point.

But the point remains: Fan logic in the shipping sense can be idiotic. To an unbearable degree.

It's just shipping. Don't worry about it. I like that ship, and maybe I can explain it to you. It might have started because of that episode (Griffon the Brush Off). To me, they look adorable together. Their personalities are similar, I guess. So perhaps they have fun together. And that's my two bits.

I love the ship. I'm watching  season 7 episode 23 and in the begining where pinkie pie suprises rainbow dash with a pie,it reminded me of my girlfriend and I.

I think they have the same type of humor, and out of the main 6 because there most energetic they tend to be the two that can hang out the most. Pinkie pie reminds me a lot off well me,a very highstrung extrovert who loves parties and has abandoment issues cough anyway.Like pinkie i have friends that can't hang out with me super often because they get tired of me (whilst its not stated we can see that in  particular fluttershy hangs out with pinkie less then the others on a one on one status.Meanwhile rainbow hangs out with her often. So I think they can deal with eachother. Also we have seen how the two act we both know that neither of them are neurotypical and in my experince neurodivergent people tend to attract eachother.

I personally have never shipped..... like.... period.... but I admit that they are often very cute, PinkieXDash is certainly no exception......
I also would not attribute it to any one episode such as Griffon the Brush off.

I generally aspire not to analyze anything in this show and Fandom too much, shipping has a pretty thin line in my opinion for becoming cringey and unhealthy for everyone.
Again, not to say that shipping is bad or something, just moderation and all that....

As for this ship specifically well.... I love Pinkie to death, and I certainly care more for her character than I do who she is getting her love on with.... I think she has a very special relationship with Dash, and just for the record implying it's out of a mutual incompetence is simply unfair and mean. They just have a nice dynamic when they hang out together or are in a scene together, Pinkie cares deeply for ALL her friends, and Rainbow struggles with social issues often much like Pinkie sometimes does, more over, she is the only one with the energy to keep up with her.... Dash's concern for her friends is strong just like Pinkies, just shows it in her own way that people don't always understand..... Just like Pinkie.....

Compared to the rest of the Mane Six, I can't see Pinkie having this kind of Friendship with the rest of them.... I mean timid and quiet Fluttershy? Studious Twilight? Down to Earth Applejack? High class and Cultured Rarity? Out of all of them they just fit together the best, and I don't mean that necessarily in the shipping sense, but.... that certainly can be the argument any shipper makes, and it would not be unfounded. Of course, that is not to say hers or any of the friendships between them is not great or something, just different.

That is just my take.... but I don't care for shipping at all.... if it is cute and they're happy, I am happy.

P.S A cute fanfic every now and then is always adorable and fun.
