Scootalove 10,689 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 When I procrastinate, it usually happens when I'm trying to do a project. I put it off for a minute, then I just relax. But, when I realize I didn't finish. My mom would be so upset. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Zygen 6,066 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 Oh procrastination.. The reason why I end up under alot of unnecessary stress or just plain out take forever to get things done. I procrastinate about a whole lot of things, and if its not something like Homework I have to get done alot of times I'll just keep pushing it off for like forever. Or i'll just forget about it then remember when its to late, luckily the worst I've really ever been with homework is having to do it really late, I don't think I've ever actually forgot really. I also procrastinate about things like doing pony art I'm working on, or practicing my trumpet or things like that. Sometimes even watching youtube videos. However I spend just as much time procrastinating with videos as I do procrastinating from watching them so not sure if that would count . Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Celtore 2,770 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 (edited) I get things done way in advance to avoid procrastination. If I hear a due date is on such a date, I push it earlier and get it done by my deadline. Doing this makes way for other teachers who want to assign projects and it really helps me keep on top of the procrastinating problem. Nothing like having a physics assignment due and a math test on the same day being prepared for neither. In college, I have these stupidly long breaks in between classes anyway, so it's either work/study, replay through pokemon red or read for three hours. Shaky Novel 72 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 Well, I usually think it's fun to learn/study and such. But I'll try to give you some tips. However, try to mix it with the things you like. For an example, we were supposed to make up an "interview" with some random person we made up in Swedish class and then write a text about it. I promise you, It got about 20% funnier when my made up person was inspierd by Bon Bon. When I solve math problems, I try to blend in such things as ponies, World of Warcraft or just pretending that I'm trying to solve some kind of crime. It might sound childish, but it sure makes studying a lot more fun. It's easier to force yourself to do something when it's a bit more intresting than usual. Otherwise I'd say you'll just have to try really, really hard to actually start working. Make up a price that you can have when you're done. Good luck! HallowsEve 52 February 19, 2013 Share February 19, 2013 I'm the queen of procrastinating. I will wait to do home work until minutes before it is due.. I try not to, but nothing works to motivate me.
Starflower 323 February 19, 2013 Share February 19, 2013 I try not to procrastinate, especially when it comes to homework. I always do my homework right after I get home from school. However, on things that are not school related, oh...my god I am a huge procrastinator. I get so distracted and put them off until the last second. Appetite4Democracy 452 February 19, 2013 Share February 19, 2013 I procrastinate for everything, but I procrastinate the most with uploading Youtube videos. I used to upload them regularly, but haven't uploaded one in over a year.
