dftrent12 32 August 3, 2012 Share August 3, 2012 I'm sorry for your loss. I went through the same sort of thing when my ferret died and he was less than a year old. Losing a pet is always a hard thing to go through but whatever happened at least the little guy can't go through any more pain in anything. Arrow 236 August 3, 2012 Share August 3, 2012 And that's why I'll never get a pet! Anyways, I'd totally get a new one, it's much easier to replace something than to take it out of your life completely.
DerpyBrainz 3 August 3, 2012 Share August 3, 2012 I'm sorry for your loss, it must be heck what you're going through since your cat was so young. *hugs* I had a cat that had to be put down last April due to kidney failure, and I don't think I'll ever stop missing her and hope nothing happens to my other cat anytime soon; Celestia knows how badly I'll take it when he's gone. Don't hesitate to take all the time you need to recover mentally and emotionally, and if you find it helps you try to think of things that your cat did that makes you happy and pretend for a moment that she's still there. For example if your cat liked sitting in a certain place, you can smile or say/think something like "Hi, (your cat's name)!" every time you look at or pass by that place. PegasisterTaco 318 August 3, 2012 Share August 3, 2012 I know how you feel right now. I used to own a hamster that I kept very close to my heart. Your probally thinking 'a darn hamster?' But that hamster wasn't just any ol' hamster. We have lived through heat and cold. Rainbows and thunderstorms. I told him all my secrets and he looked at me like he understood. He helped me get into 3rd place in the science fair. He helped me through anything I couldn't go through. We were like glue and paper. But then one day, I found him DEAD and motionless in his cage. I didn't want to do anything that day. Just cry. I am very sorry for your lost. I know how hard it is to loose a pet. Espicially when you had a very close friendship. May your cat forever live in your heart and soul. Life is an adventure. An adventure of mistakes, accidents, and misunderstandings. That's what makes life life. butter scotch 79 August 3, 2012 Share August 3, 2012 It is inevitable, cherish the memories of that stunning cat and don't forget her meow or her soft coat Did you know: 20Kv's of electricity can kill you from up to 5ft away?

Juggler 345 August 4, 2012 Share August 4, 2012 I have been through this too many times. I have had a lot of cats in my life, and with that many losses. It feels like you never will get over it now, but I promise you, you will. But that doesn't mean that you will forget her. I remember every single cat that I have owned. I remember their special personalities, what they used to do and such. You will never forget your cat, but I promise you. The hole in your heart will be filled up with something new. Rainycakes 30 August 5, 2012 Share August 5, 2012 I'm so sorry about your kitty. I don't know if the details surrounding her death would make it harder or easier for you, but sometimes cats get into poisonous things. If your cat goes outside, they can be poisoned by drinking up water that has old car fluids in it. There are people who even purposely kill their neighbor's pets by leaving milk or meat with antifreeze in it. Some plants can also kill a small pet, like certain house plants. If you have an indoor kitty, and there's no cat grass around, they may try some of that plant you leave on the windowsill. Some cats may even chew on plastic bags and swallow bits of it. Chunks that are too big will get stuck in their intestines and they have no way to unblock it. Again, I'm so sorry about your kitty.
Derpy Dash 233 August 5, 2012 Share August 5, 2012 I know how it feel, recently I lost my golden retriever that I had for nearly 8 years. I rescued her as a puppy and loved her like a child. We did everything together, if I went to take a shower, she would lay outside the door and wait for me to come out. One day, she got really sick, and less than a week later, she was gone. She had leukemia. After that I was depressed for a very long time, and in fact, becoming a brony is what pulled me out of it. I'm sorry for your loss. (And I'm not sure what the average life span for a cat is, but out neighbor's cat is 19 years old and still alive and healthy.)

Ethan Pow 332 August 11, 2012 Share August 11, 2012 I lost a dog a year ago as well, and I had to help dig the grave... It doesn't feel good when you have to place things you love 6 feet under. 1 I Run and Operate Alicornradio
