Dusk's Pikmin Adventure

Yo!

I like Pikmin.

Like, I freaking love Pikmin.

So let's play Pikmin!

Anyone who wants a Pikmin named after them, just say it!

Anyway, let's begin!

-This memory card does not have enough space.-

FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

-One save data fiddling later-

Okay, lessdothis!

-Disc could not be read-

CURSE YOU BAD CONDITION GAMESTOP PRE OWNED GAME!

Oh hey, it's just kidding. It's working.

Woo, let's press start!

"Creating file, do not touch the memory card."

*touches memory card.*

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT, GAME?

Anyway, New Ships Log.

We see a ship sorta explode then come towards the screen. Inside is the titular little guy, Olimar.

"The game disc could not be read."

*cleans disc*

A meteor crashes into the poor guy. Aww..

THEN OUR SHIP FALLS DOWN.

I examine the ship.

I'd say it's pretty damn damaged.

After exposition from the cute little captain, we begin.

Woot! Pressing B makes Oli whistle, and A just sorta makes him...Bow?

Yeah, bow. I fumble about until I see a red thing. Upon further examination, it sprouts up and, and shoots a little seed to the ground.

I have an insatiable urge to go up to it and press A...

After doing so, it does a thing! A little red guy looks at me curiously.

Thy name is Chigens, red guy.

I throw Chigens at a little bottle top thing that says '1'. He takes it back to what Oli calls the Onion. It produces another seed.

A pluck out two currently unnamed children.

After 7 have been produced, I move on to harvesting the 5s, and so forth.

After a few minutes, my army of Chigens and currently unnamed children is up to 14. I move a nearby box, and stumble upon a ship part. Yay! I can get off this planet now! Or not!

It requires 20 enslaved children to carry.

Welp, time to harvest the remaining caps.

I harvest all of the Pikmin.

Then I realize that you throw Pikmin SO SLOW. It's nothing like in 2.

Anyway, I grab the ship part and while the Pikmin carry it back I screw around on my computer.

Anyway, my ship is looking good as new. And I mean that if I actually rode in it I'd be sucked into the vacuum of space.

The slaves retreat into their onion, and I rest in my death trap.

1 Day Since Impact

I have somehow managed to launch the dolphin, but I was surprised to see the Onion lift off with me. Perhaps the Pikmin cannot survive overnight on the planet's surface. Or have they decided to join me for other reasons? Either way, it seems they will help me again, tomorrow

If you want a pikmin named after you, just say so!

Day 2, begin.

Let's go to the Forest of Hope, yeah!

Oli pilots his ship down to the landing zone, and the Red Onion trails in from behind.

I head over to the onion, and retrieve the battalion of reds. I have Chigens carry a nearby red bottle top to the onion, and I have the others break down a nearby wall. After Chigens brings it to the Onion, he picks away at some grass, revealing a honey like substance. Chigens sucks it up, and his leaf becomes a flower! I believe that a flower is a later part of growth in the Pikmin life cycle. I round up the others to flowerize them. They seem to be a bit more swift with the flower. The wall falls down, and I lead my battalion onto new territory. I see a red little guy, who looks kind of cute. Perhaps I will name these lifeforms bulborbs. They seem hostile. I toss Chigens to create a diversion. When the bulborb attempts to bite him, the rest of the battalion piles on top of him, until he live further. It seems the Pikmin are strong in numbers. I repeat this process with another nearby Bulborb.

I have the pikmin carry back the caps to the onion. When they all are harvested, I now have 49 in my battalion. For the new leaf Pikmin, I repeat the flowerization process with some nearby grass.

I continue further. I pass by a small lake, and kill some nearby bulborbs.

I find my second ship part, The Eternal Fuel Dynamo!

It has an unlimited energy supply! I won't have to worry about saving electricity anymore! This will make my fight for survival a bit easier...

My battalion carries the Fuel Dynamo to my ship. One step closer to restoring the Dolphin's glory. I gather up the Pikmin, and I discover a new enemy. It appears to be a giant bulborb. I swarm my horde onto it, and it falls down soon. These Pikmin are very powerful when amassed. After harvesting the nearby dead bodies and caps, I break down a nearby stone wall.

Or some of mine do. I put some on it to break it down, and I take 35 to go explore. I find a ledge, nearby a small pool. Perhaps I could throw my Pikmin onto the ledge, and come and get them if I go through the pool?

I throw them onto the ledge, and I dismiss them. I go to the pool onto a smooth hill. I circle around, passing a nearby sleeping bulborb, and a ship part, and retrieve my Pikmin.

15 DIED. HOLY SHIT GUYS ABONDON MISSION! I run away arms flailing holding Chigens. I can't let the commander die. I hide in a crevice by the pool.

I take a deep breath...That was terrible. Due to my poor leadership, 15 have died. I will learn from this mistake, and never attack a giant bulborb with less than 35.

I carry out the dirty work and punch the perpetrator to death. Bastard....You guys won't go unavenged.

I run back to the field to carry dead bodies and caps while those ones I left at the wall keep doin' their thing.

It's already noon. The wall falls down. I harvest the Pikmin and my count is up to 41. I go to where the wall once stood.

I kill some bulborbs.

I see a...Yellow Onion? I investigate further.

Indeed! A yellow sprout falls into the ground!

Interesting! I pluck the newly grown Yellow. His large ears indicate a possible gained height when thrown. I test out my theory, and it goes rather high. I harvest nearby animals and buds to grow more yellows.

The sun starts to set in the distance.

Then I notice.

I'm missing 4 Pikmin.

I frantically start searching for the lost solidiers.

Oh, they're just Pikmin underground at base! Ha!

Day 3, Yeah, yeah!

Let's do this!

Keep in mind, names above will not come into affect until Day 4, since I wrote this a few days ago. Saaarry.

I vow that no Pikmin will die on this day.

I fly into the Forest of Hope.

I get out 40 of my Red Batallion led by Chigens, and the yellows, led by Nevermore.

I grow some yellows, until my count is up to 100.

I flowerize them all.

Some strays pick up some glowing stones, bomb rocks. They blow up stuff. 'Nuff said.

I head back to base, and toss some bomb carriers at the stone wall. I whistle them back before they get caught in the explosion.

I whistle back the others, and adventure further. I see a small and a big Bulborb. I take a moment to asses the situation. I go in, sneaking past the small one. From behind, I swarm the big one with reds. I toss the yellows at the small one, successfully taking out both, no deaths. I see a ledge in the distance, but there's no way up for now. I could break down the black wall, or go through the weeds. I go through the weeds. I come out on the other side. I see a bombable wall hiding a ship part, some vicious bugs, and too small bulborbs minding there own buisness. I lob Pikmin to take out the bugs, then I swarm the bulborbs. On a ledge, covered by some weeds, I see my radar. With this in tow, I could see all the ship parts in an area, which would be immensely helpful. I continue to the radar....AMBUSH! Purple bugs rise from the ground and in a frenzy I throw Pikmin at random, hoping to kill the bugs. A purple bug takes a Pikmin, I swarm the bug, but it swallows the Pikmin before I could defeat it...Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! With the loss in tow, I expertly direct Pikmin onto it's back to destroy the beast. I claim what's mine, the ship part. One last bulborb stumbles out of nowhere, and it takes a Pikmin into it's mouth. I toss Chigens onto it's back, crushing it in one well aimed throw. I send Nevermore and 29 other yellows to take the radar back to base. I take the remaining battalion to destroy the wall blocking another ship part, a screw.

Nevermore and Co return the Radar to the ship. I recall them.

I circle around to where the Yellow onion was orignally found, and I have the bomb crew pick up some rocks nearby. They destroy the wall, and they carry the ship part to the ship. Two of the bomb squad died. They didn't get away fast enough from the bombs....

With the Extraordinary Bolt in tow, I take advantage of the remaining day to get the Pikmin's numbers up.

I return to the ledge where the 15 died, to explore further.

5 Pikmin died because...I don't know why. They died off screen, beyond my grasp.

I have the reds and the yellows get the ship part that was abandoned on Day 2.

I go further, and I hop off a ledge. The pikmin got the Shock Absorber back to base.

I now have 5/30 ship parts! With 5 in tow, I can now visit more distant lands!

After I fell off the ledge, I kill a bulborb, then one dies because they didn't respond to my whistle, and that's just bad listening.

I realize I won't have enough time to get the Nova Blaster, so I head back to base, where the day ends.
