Bioware deals with pony hatred.

I have been a Mass Effect fan since 2007. I don't know if you guys heard about the negative hype over the ending of ME3, but it really broke the heart of the fanbase. We are still butt hurt about the ending, even though Bioware tried to "fix" it. Because of this, a lot of us are sensitive to perceived "jabs" made at the series or the fanbase.

 

If you haven't played ME yet, let me recommend something. If you like story, start playing in ME1 through ME2. If you like action, start with ME2 through ME3. If you like action and story, play the whole series and turn off ME3 right before the ending. Also, try to buy the games used.

 

Oh, hm... I did hear quite a bit about that, mostly from my friends since I've never played ME, but that makes sense I guess. Still, I think it should be clear to most that it's fan art and not a jab.

I've played through the entire trilogy and the ending was really... I don't know how to explain it, meh. Meh is the word to describe the ending, it was still a great trilogy with amazing characters. The extended cut fixed a few things, but they expanded upon an already meh ending. The multiplayer in 3 is pretty good though, and I've gotten the best replay out of 3 even after just going through the main game once so far.

i so agree with you, because other people don't think boys should watch MLP, boys who do want to watch are very brave to do so, even more so to admit it and i would definetly want to be with a guy who likes MLP, then we could watch it together!!!!!!

wow i'm shocked, biowear did something good for a change, i'v haven't liked bio-wear since Mass Effect 2 when they started to dumb everything down (streamlineing) to get the GoW and Halo fan in, also this is when they started to ad less rather then more which is a big no no in the game industry and dont get me started on what they did to Dragon age 2 but no im ranting so moving on.

 

this is a good marketing move for bio wear the're now in the brony good book and just cut out all the dumb.

I saw the post popping up on my news feed a while ago too. So much butthurt, can't believe people would un-like and sell their copies of ME3 just because of some fanart posted on the FB page. All this did was point out who the real fans are, a good fan does not give up on a franchise/developer because of some fanart containing a pony in N7 armor, simply because he/she hates bronies.

Yes, because as we all know that all bronies masturbate to ponies, are just a bunch of people living with their parents, and must just be feminized men. This is like watching a bunch of children sharing with each other their favorite colors and then, when one person says violet, one half of the class starts flipping over tables in anger.

I've been a fan of BioWare ever since I found Baldur's Gate, they're probably my favorite gaming company. This just makes them that much better. I'm glad all those people got mad, it just proves they're close minded fans who aren't really fans of the company to begin with. Posting ponies is a major offense, right up there with shooting up a movie theatre, the Oklahoma City Bombings, and 9/11.

honestly, I've never played any of the Mass Effect games. I know about the ending in the 3rd game which I honestly think wasn't that bad, plotholes aside. I know its about the choice and yadda yadda

 

Hearing this story, it makes me laugh. Fans complain about ending, they get what they want. Fans complain about picture of Pinkie pie, threaten to sell games....seriously?

 

Bioware, keep doing what you do best, that was quite the remarkable response you made
