Usaf opened his eyes and walked over to Fire Opel and used the flint and steel to light an other torch. "Here use this to start the fire i like to hold on to my things." Usaf planted the stick in the ground walked back to his tree and sat back down,I could have helped more but nopony learns if they are handed everything. that was boot camp 101.

Fire Opal nodded his thanks and went over to the pile of wood, leaning down to light the wood to start a fire. It blazed immediately, with a little help from Fire Opal, a basic spell he had learned from the books he had studied for hours. He always felt more comfortable near fire, and he edged closer to warm himself.

Octavinyl watched as everypony was busy doing what they were supposed to do. It was true that she need rest due to blood loss, but she was eager to help. "I-Is there anything I can do to help you guys? I mean I could still do something, it's only my leg thats been wounded and a few scratches around my body. Besides it'll all problaby heal up in no time." She said to the as she tried to get up, but she fell down again due feeling lightheaded and the pain from the bandaged leg.

 

She sighed in disappointment as she sat up. An idea flashed through her head, "Maybe I could just fly up." she said as she tried to flap her wings, but she was too weak and the dome weakened her wingpower. She sighed again as she just faced down.

Relámpago looked at Octavinyl. She wanted to get up, he wonder something Maybe his skills could of be used now. "How far do you want to go up? I think I could help you. I may not be a pegasus, but I have skills to go up high places." Relámpago gave a grin. A luchador isn't just about being a strong wrestler. It's also being a pony who can get up high places. To do amazing tricks and moves on opponents high in the air...

Misty watched Fire Opal light the fire. "Wow, how'd you do that? I thought the barrier weakened magic." She stared deeply into the flames. Within them contain a certain beauty unlike anything else. It was as if this fire was different from all the rest. "So, is fire your specialty? That would certainly be useful, since fire can be used effectively even with a small amount. How good of a fighter are you? Maybe you should take the first watch." She hoped Fire Opal would agree. He seemed like the pony for the job. He had already built the small shelters, so why not contribute more?

"Yes, I'll take first watch. Though we might need two ponies per watch, we have enough ponies here and it would be much safer. Not to mention with everypony's power weakened, we might need two anyway." Fire Opal then recalled her earlier question, the one with the barrier reducing magic. In fact, he had barely enough power to use one decent spell or a few easy, non complicated spells. Encouraging the fire had only taken a small part of his remaining magic away.

"Can you get me up to the highest branch up there? If you don't mind of course." She said to Relampago as she turned to Fire Opal. "I'll be on watch with you, well if you don't mind either." She said to him as she turned to Relampago then back to Fire Opal. "I feel bad about not being able to do much in my current condition so I'll just help Fire Opal on the lookout." Octavinyl added as she prepared herself to get up the tree.

Fire Opal was unsure of the pony in front of him, she seemed badly hurt and will need as much rest as she could if she wanted to heal. "I don't know..." He was unsure at the moment, eyes calculating but not coming up with any results.

"I'll relieve Fire Opel at midnight. Dose anypony else trained to operate at night or good in low light conditions?" Usaf was betting that the only other pony that had had night patrol training was Trench but there had to be another that could work at night. If not a single roving patrol with the over-watch would have to do.

"Okay, now that the watch has been set up, we can move on to other matters." Misty's voice took on a semi-serious tone. "I think we need a leader. Somepony who can make decisions for the group if we ever run into any problems." Misty smile at Relámpago. He seemed like the toughest pony who wasn't as headstrong as Trench or Usaf. "Relámpago, what do you think about you taking leadership? If you don't want to, we could get somepony else to do it." She really hoped that the luchador would at least consider the offer. Of course, they'd certainly have to vote on the matter, but surely the other ponies could see what she saw, right?

Scout raised a hoof, "Does late nights in the Everfree count? I've done that..." He continues looking on the ground, thinking about all the times he had had to stay up at night. "Everfree Lightning Bugs for my Dagarmouth come out late at night," he adds. Then he hears the suggestion of a leader, and looks at the pony who said it. "What about you Ms. Leaves? You seem like a pony who'd want that post ion..."

"It is fine, doing this will be a great help. I should be able get you up there with ease" Relámpago said, with a grin plastered on his face. Confident in his jumping skills. He looked at Usaf and Fire Opal. "It's better to have a second watchmen than just one. Just stay close to each other so any other problems happened you can fix them." Relámpago took Octavinyl on his back once again. He took a few steps as he saw the branch that was high up.

 

He took a deep breath, as he analyzed the jump. Than he leaped onto one of the branches from another tree than took a huge jump to the highest branch. He turned to the back of the tree and placed her on branch slowly. "There you go." He said with a smile jumped off to a lower branch and slide off the tree. When he slide off Misty looked at him and asked to become the leader of this group. He thought about it, he wasn't exactly the greatest survivalist, but he was probably the strongest pony in this group. He nodded, "I'll do it." He said.

"Yes that would be a perfect fit as long as you can keep your wits about you, you would be a good patrol mate."

said Usaf looking at the other pony "So we will take over the watch at about midnight or 2 o'clock. I will wake you up when it is time to go."

"I can see in the dark really clearly, so maybe I'll take watch whenever it's dark." she told Usaf as she went over to Relampago and asked "Is there anything I can do to help? I could work on my treehouse right now but I don't feel like it..".

"I am ok with a ruler but no one here i think has shown that much skill at leadership and organization. But if it came down to a vote it would be for either Relámpago or Trench but i still only have a small amount of trust for a royal guard so i go for Relámpago." said Usaf tiredly. he walked back to his hidden house. "I'm going to sleep till my watch. Usaf entered the front of his Hide but exited the back with out letting anypony know. He then flew up to a high branch were he could see and hear the group with out being seen himself.

Fire Opal went over to Usaf, posing a question, "If you and Scout will be woken up around midnight, who will take first shift with me?" Fire Opal ran the sentence Ulaf had said earlier through his mind repeatedly, but he couldn't come up with an answer of any sort.

"Thanks for the help!" Octavinyl said to Relampago as she got onto the tree branch. She then started her shift on lookout duty with Fire Opal. She was clearly excited about finally being able to contribute to the group. As she looked down at everypony on the ground she turned and started watching the north side of the area; where she was chased down by timberwolves. She heard the chatter about deciding on a leader, she turned around, "My vote goes to Relampago!" she yelled to them as she turned back to continue lookout.

Scout nods and pads quietly over to the pony called Daeva, "Ms. Deava, I was wondering if I could give you a suggestion about your tree house. See, if you make the roof out of the large leaves on the floor, you can make a waterproof roof without having to treat the wood."

Fire Opal just sat against a tree near his crude shelter, keeping as much of the forest in sight as he could, turning his head slowly as he surveyed everything. He stayed silent as the ponies discussed who would be the leader. He knew that this sort of thing never really lasted long, and somepony would try to take over. It would be better for him to not say anything and just go along with whatever the group does.

Unless Daeva decided differently on her vote of a leader, he was pretty sure he was going to be leader of this group. He wasn't sure what to except from this group or this forest, an attack of wolves doesn't look like this forest is friendly, either. He saw the sun start to set He answered Daeva, "I think we better start making that treehouse soon. I'd like to sleep somewhere that isn't the ground again." He said.

Fire Opal simply stayed silent, though on the inside he was rolling his eyes. What was wrong with the ground anyway, sure, there were predators like wood wolves, but it really wasn't that bad. Though on the other hand, it would be safer in a tree house, and he did want to help so he could retire from his small cover to a more reliable place to house. But he stayed where he was, watching.

Scout flew to a branch and landed. I have to stay up late tonight, guess I'll catch some sleep now, he thinks shutting his eyes. He begins wondering about different leadership, drifting into dreams of different leaderships.

He turned to Daeva, "Actually maybe you can finish the treehouse? I'll help if you need it, but I'd like to sleep on something that isn't a root."

Misty realized that helping Daeva could be a useful idea. Her ground fortification idea was full of holes. "Daeva, if you don't mind, I'd like to help with your tree house. I know a lot about which types of wood are sturdy enough to make shelters with. I could easily get some wood for you. I'm fast enough to make the trips in a matter of minutes." she said with slight pride. "I'd really like to help, since we have enough food for the moment, and I'm not going to be doing lookout work, at least for now. So, what do you say? Would you like me to help?"

Scout told Daeva something that could she do to improve her treehouse and she thought about it..

 

"Hmm.. I never thought of that.." she thought out aloud but when she wanted to say Thanks to Scout he was gone.
