I have decided that I should work on this novel I wanted to do. It is called

"Hounds and the Shunka Warak-in" or "Hounds and the Ringdocus".

 

It is about a group of hounds that left their masters to bond and fight against a

mythical beast who keeps killing the dogs and livestock. Some wolves that have come

down off the mountains from Yellowstone park will help too.

 

The pack has two leaders, a female redbone coonhound named Rae, and a black and tan

coonhound named Kai. There is a bluetick hound pup named Blue as well.

 

Do you think that I should continue? Please reveiw.

I think the idea has some great potential in the genre of Pre-teen fiction or possibly teen fiction Or if you wanted to go into "Youth Fiction" as a general.

 

I personally don't think it would work well in adult fiction since animals tend to be considered more youth oriented than naught.

 

But I definitely think you should follow your dream and go for it!! Though I'm curious to know why they chose to be the dogs who leave their master's in order to fight this mystical beast!

Alright, I am an amateur writer who has been doing it long enough to learn a few things (and done plenty of research. I just need to write).

 

Its an interesting idea, definable youth fiction. That's not a problem, but it needs to be taken into account, as the writing needs to be easily understandable, and more graphic elements left out, etc. Also, complex characters should be avoided, because I am guessing the age ranger would be 8-12 ish. So some complexity, but easily understood.

 

Kill the two pack leaders. Canines have only one pack leader. You could have one is "training" or another strong personality which pushes against the leader.

 

For now, that's all I can say, as you have given very little information. Detail out an overview and post it (or you can pm me. my strong suit is plot development).
