"Whew." Vinyl lowered her weapon and took her helmet off, revealing her fiery colored mane. "I'm Captain Vinyl Blade of the Equestrian Marine Corps. And y'all are...?" She felt a bit more at ease around the new ponies, but she was still observing everything around them.

"Fae, hold." She said towards Fae.

Fae was already behind Vinyl Blade about to cast a spell. She stopped and flew back next to Starbolt.

"I'm Starbolt, this is Fae." She said pointing to Fae.

 

(OOC To avoid confusion.)

Fae, is a humanoid winged thing around the size of a parasprite. Fae's body is mostly like a black shadow, her eyes emit blueish white glow and she has this dark blue glow around her.

Fae is familiar with the forest and is able to identify different plants and animals.

Fae also has a wide variety of magic like invisibility to controlling and summoning plants. Her specialty is nature magic. She also can cast several types of healing spells. Like Starbolt, Fae's magic is not infinite and will eventually run out. Fae is only able to communicate telepathically with Starbolt. Starbolt communicates verbally to Fae. (It looks like Starbolt is talking to nothing when they speak to each other.)

 

Fae is also proficient at making potions, able to make varying kinds from healing to explosives.

She greeted the two, "Hello, Starbolt. Hello, Fae." She turned to Starbolt, "She's an interesting little creature, isn't she?"

"Yeah, she sure is something. Wait, you're military? Where are the others? What's going on?" Starbolt asked Vinyl Blade. She studied the pony in front of her. She saw how advanced her weapons were.

Once Flame had got back to the hospital he brought Emerald inside, Im gona need some help. He called placing Emerald on the bed.

Silver Heart was heading to bed, it had been far too long since she had slept. However, Silver Heart heard a pony calling for help, She ran towards the voice, which she thought had come from the lobby. "What's wrong? What happened?

Trying to focus her mind away from the nightmares, Ruby noticed the wounded pony Flame Dancer was carrying. She tried to shake of the feeling of being useless, and quickly swiped away the tears from her face and hurried to the others. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly.

Chaos looked around. Maybe nopony else was here...

He glided to the ground level and entered the ground floor. In the lobby, there was a pony with a gash on one of his legs. He knelt down by it and asked, "Infected or not?"

"Yeah, she sure is something. Wait, you're military? Where are the others? What's going on?"

 

"Most of my unit got wiped out by the infected. The ones that survived separated. As to what's going on, I probably know just about as much as you."

"You weren't briefed about what was going on?" Starbolt asked surprised that they went to fight without knowing the enemy.

Several infected heard their talking and slowly walked towards them, still unseen because of the mist.

"Well, we were briefed, however we had limited knowledge at the time." Vinyl kept looking around. She knew that something would have heard them talking and would be headed this way. "Do you have some sort of base or settlement? If you do, we need to go there, now."

Octavinyl flew closer to Vinyl Blade to speak, "Well we have dug ourselves in a hospital, but we're here to search for supplies first. Do you mind if you could help us out here?" she said to her as she look around the marketplace. Knowing that time was limited, she went off grabbing a few fruits from a nearby shop.

"Our base is in the local hospital. I'm sorry but I can't go there, I have to find some food and supplies. There are others looking somewhere here, not sure where exactly. Don't worry though we have radios but we only use it when needed to save battery." She replied to Vinyl Blade.

Several infected saw the military pony, they begun to ran towards her from the rear.

Starbolt noticed them. "Look out behind you!" She yelled as she cast a spell. A bolt of arcane energy came out of her horn and went straight for the leading infected.

There were also several more infected came from behind Starbolt. One of them grabbed her and another swatted Fae out of the air. The other two went after Octavinyl, who had just arrived. The other two infected who were behind Vinyl Blade continued to run straight at her.

Fae got up and cast her magic. Several roots came and grabbed one of the infected who was going after Octavinyl.

Starbolt was struggling against the infected trying to bite her. She managed to keep from getting bitten but she struggled to cast a spell unable to concentrate.

Octavinyl flew closer to Vinyl Blade to speak, "...but we're here to search for supplies first. Do you mind if you could help us out here?"

 

"What kind of supplies are you looking for? Food? I've got meds. Ammunition?"

 

Vinyl raised her rifle at the infected that was taking Starbolt away and fired. It let go of Starbolt as its head got blown off, then she turned to the infected trying to attack her. She shot a couple down, but one got her by her hind leg and lifted her into the air causing her to drop her rifle. "Help!"

Octavinyl saw two infected chasing her and started to fly deeper into the marketplace. Thankfully Starbolt managed to shoot one down, but there was still one left chasing her. She immediately contacted everypony through the walkie talkie, "Everypony retreat back to the hospital!" she said to them as she kept flying away from the monster. Octavinyl managed to find an iron pipe that seemed to be sold at one of these stores. She readied herself in a defensive pose as the monster approached her. "S-Stay back! I'm warning you, I don't want to kill you!" Octavinyl said to the incoming zombie, it seemed her only choice was to kill it. 'If I kill him then I'll get away, but if a cure exists...then I'm a murderer...' she thought to herself as she dropped the iron pipe. The zombies then rushed and grabb her, but she resisted and grabbed a plastic bag from a nearby counter. She then quickly placed the bag over the monster's head and pushed it away while it was trying to take the bag off. Afterwards she quickly flew up to regroup with the others. She saw the other two in trouble and quickly raced to help them. Octavinyl first pulled the zombie off of Vinyl Blade and check to see if they were okay.

Starbolt was released from the grip of the infected when Vinyl Blade shot it. She got up to see Vinyl Blade being assaulted by the infected. Unfortunately the infected dragged Vinyl around a corner. "Fae stop it." She told Fae.

 

Fae flew as fast as she could, she turned at the corner to see the infected about to take a bite of the captured unicorn. Fae summoned a root in front of the infected's face just as it started to bite. The infected bit the root and started to gag. It stepped back and fell to the ground. The root then disappeared back into the ground. Fae flew over and check on Vinyl making sure she was alright.

 

Starbolt knew Fae could handle the situation. She went over and examined Vinyl Blade's dropped weapon. While she was doing this another infected came running into view. She saw it coming and pulled out the knife Hypno gave to her. She levitated it and stabbed the infected pony. Starbolt enchanted the weapon before they set out. The enchantment reacted and the infected started to freeze. Starbolt pulled the knife back out and put it back in its sheath.

Vinyl's veins were now coursing with adrenaline. "Thanks Fae! Where's my rifle?"

 

Fae flew as fast as she could, she turned at the corner to see the infected about to take a bite of the captured unicorn. Earth headed into the store and asked, "What's going on in here?" A few zombies turned to him and started to come toward him. He widened his eyes, but quickly killed them before turning away to look for a suspected counter attack. There were none, but when he turned around, there were three more on him. Two of them were done with after he smashed to shelves together to smash them, but one evaded and jumped on top of him. He couldn't get him off, but somehow it had been picked off by some kind of invisible hoof and thrown into the corner. Earth Opal looked around and couldn't find his rescuer until his eyes landed on a figure hiding underneath the counter. Earth Opal slapped himself mentally as he realized Air Opal had been hiding expertly. Looking to Octavinyl, who seemed to be flying to get to the other ponies, he agreed with her intentions and flew after her.

Fae pointed to where Starbolt was and flew there. 'Don't worry Starbolt the military pony is fine.' She messaged Starbolt as she flew towards here.

"Good job Fae." She said still looking at Vinyl Blade's weapon. She pointed it at the frozen infected in front of her and pulled the trigger. The ice shattered. "Wow...." She mumbled.

"Um yeah..." She gently took the rifle back. She remembered that there was another pony who was being attacked. "Shoot! Where did that other pony go?!

"Sorry..." Starbolt said as she handed over the weapon. "Oh no... Fae go look for her." Starbolt said.

Fae flew off looking for Octavinyl.

"Don't worry Fae will find her. That's a rather strong weapon you have there, I only have my magic and this knife that I enchanted." She told Vinyl Blade.

"I'm Octavinyl, but now we should look for the others. Just grab whatever food that is safe to eat around you. Then let's get back to the hospital after we've regroup with everypony." Octavinyl replied to her as she started quickly gathering food.

"We're both fine, but Air Opal should really teach me how to hide like that," he said, looking at Air Opal, who simply looked at Octavinyl grimly, as usual. Air Opal spoke in a clam and even fashion, "Why are we staying in the hospital for so long?"
