Maybe it's because of when we go to sleep. Around this time of day this thread is not very active, so you won't get many notifications. When I go to sleep, you guys keep on talking and talking and suddenly there's another 10 pages of posts and 200 notifications for me to ignore here.

I still go back and read the ones that were made shortly after I left. But there's too many to read them all! I used to go through them all at first, and it usually took about half an hour, so that's a lot of lost time that I could have spent participating in the conversation instead.
