Did you paint that? that actually looks really good ¦)

If I were an asshole I'd steal the credit, but nope. I got it from the previous owner and Postal Service of Russia managed to break it in shipping, so now I'm gluing it back together.

Although I'm planning on getting a disassembled knight from one of the "independent forgers" as they are called here, for 3800 rubles (works out to about 58.8 USD vs $180 when ordered from GW). GW does not care about Russia so no official 40K support here and all of the minies are made by people with access to plastic molds. And all of the rulebooks are available online on Russian social networks! Hurrah for holy piracy!

4FAyFZz7nj8.jpgGonna be that, disassembled.

The knight I'm currently gluing together is from the same guys from whom I linked the above picture. "Miniatures World" they call themselves.

1) "disassemble" reminded me of the film Short Circuit

2) the two meanings of forge

forge

1. to form by heating and hammering; beat into shape.

2. to form or make, especially by concentrated effort:

3.to imitate fraudulently.

4. to commit forgery.

So on one hand they are independently making things, but those things are illegal copies.

So they are forging forgeries :)

Law and justice or sensibility don't always go hand in hand. GW's miniatures are ridiculously overpriced, and it's their fault that they aren't providing any support to the hobby in Russia.  :orly:

Plus about forgeries... in Russian language that word would apply only if they tried to sell their stuff as GW original. They don't. Everybody knows that low prices and use of plastic rather than resin or whatever GW switched to couple of years ago would give that away.

Guess GW is scared of Russia as they shut down that Company that was making compatible things for 40k.

(Or was the company using GW IP? Can't remember)
