Rage pointed at Den with his hoof-gun. "I been wanting a chance to fight you again!" He yelled. "That last fight wasn't fair! I'm gonna beat the living shit out of you!" He started to charge the gun, still pointed at Den.

Den's eyes glowed, "Turtle-Swan," he mumbled. Sapphire shivered, and with a twirl became a shield, with a point on it. He picked it up, "Hello Rage. How have you been? I'm sure having been trapped by your stronger brother sins have been boiling your watery brain." He raised the shield.

"Can we get Patches against pride? I'd feel best if that's who he was fight," he rolled his eyes. That guy was a pushover: he could have taken him in his sleep. "Sapphire should take Lust, that will take some Creativity, Den and Greed, Nightfall and Sloth, and Maven can take Gluttony. That's everyone, right?" He turned to face Karasu. "Let's roll."

Den looked over at Wits, "No, you're forgetting Rage. I'm currently fighting rage." He murmurs to Sapphire's reflection in his shield, "We need you out here fighting with us. You need to fight Lust for us." The sheild flashed, and a disconnected voice said, "Aw, but I really wanted to fight with you again. He sighed, "I know, but sometimes we don't get what we want." The shield lost it's blue, and Sapphire appeared disappointed.

"Sloth... Hell, this shouldn't be hard. After that, then what? Do I pick a battle and fight along side somepony?"

"Better yet, if I can get my pure energy form ready, I could wipe them all out quickly."

The two massive pure white energy cannons appeared by his side as he floated, barely using his wings.

"Right... Let's get this done."

Rage didn't say anything (for once) and fired his high powered blast at Den, having been given enough time to charge it.

 

 

 

"Shall we start?" the real Karasu asked Wits. "You needn't worry about them, they are in no real danger."

Den put his shield down infront of him. His spirit rose from the shield in a dome solidified. The shot hit the shield and became absorbed. He cringed, but was otherwise unaffected. He brought the sheild out of the block position and smiled at Rage, "I'm waiting."

Chapter 1: Defense

Fighting extremely powerful forces, the most important things is to make sure you are not susceptible to immediate reality blinks. The most effective methods tend to really on ever changing shielding...

 

Wits summarized the rest of the chapter in his mind and set up three ranks of shields, and immediately began modulating his shields: their strength and make-up, at rapid intervals. He then assumed a ready stance and waited for Karasu to attack. Risky, because he wasn't quite sure how this would go down, but he figured if he could survive the first assault his chances of victory went up a whole lot.

Rage flexed his muscles tightly and began to produce thick beats of sweat down his neck.

 

Karasu was still hovering a few feet into the air when Wits set up his defences. He inspected the barriers for a moment, then clapped his front hoofs together. When he spread them back apart, he had created an orange ball. He threw it up in the air and kicked it At wits, causing it to split into knifelike shards.

Den whispered, "Wolf," and the shield changed to a knife. He whispered, "Heart-whisper," as well, and his vision shifted to where he saw outlines. His ears twitched, and the hearts of everypony around him where displayed; every beat made their outlines solidify. He gazed calmly at Rage.

When he spread them back apart, he had created an orange ball. He threw it up in the air and kicked it At wits, causing it to split into knifelike shards.

 

Step 2: Analysis

As you foe attacks observe him. What strategy is he using? What spells? Does change tactics as the battle goes on? Does he need to? Use this to build a mental dossier of the opponent, and figure out what strategy he will use as the fight goes on. This will require stamina, but with enough power, he can be brought down, even with significantly larger levels of strength.

 

Wits boosted his other shield and protected himself, the knives coming down rather easily. Multipoint magical attacks, that's a classic. I hope he has something more original. Let's test his defense.

Karasu didn't waist energy to dodge Wits attack, it was not worth the effort. When the beam touched his Sacred Energy Armor, it harmlessly burnt itself out before doing any damage. Despite appearing to be a cloak, the armor was extremely effective against energy attacks. After a small cloud of smoke cleared around him, Karasu scratched the ground as if he was impatient, but he was also clearly not anxcious.

 

 

 

Rage emitted the same, white mist as earlier. "Forrbiden technique: White Smog. I know you can still see me, but that's not all my power can do."

Step 3: Improvisation

Do not use a single tactic. Find a tactic that works well, but do not abuse it. Create a repertoire and be careful. God level opponents.are notorious for using repetition to no end, with no need for creativity as they have nigh unlimited power.

 

Wits picked up three pebble and powered it up with magic. Then, he gave it homing properties and fired it at Karasu.

When the mist came out, the aura around Den and his knife swirled around him. The knife grew thicker, and broader, and his aura solidified into a light-weight leather-like armor. He dashed around behind him in the fog, and pounced on him with the large combat knife.

 

Rage surprisingly was thinking and knew that Den would rice soon (It also helps that he can see in his own fog). He jumped foreword and was lost in the fog. Immediately after that, a swirling gush of air in the shape of a vertical tornado was shot at Den. (Rage is waiting for you to jump out of the way so he can hit you in the air. I'm saying this because its almost impossible to do this with the way RPs are structured.)

The armor was surprisingly strong as well. The pebbles were stopped despite their enchantments. "Rocks?" he asked in an irritated tone, "ROCKS? This is ridiculous! My Defensive Sacred Energy Armor is taking any fun out of this fight. So, I'll go with offense instead." His Sacred Energy aura reclaimed his defensive armor, ripping it apart and dissolving it into more energy. It was replaced by a blue, much thinner armor with spiked shoulder plates. "My sacred armor has two forms. The offensive form still provides enough power to defend against your clumsy magic, and it also increases my attacking strength. He solidified a glowing blade of sacred energy on his right front hoof and sliced strait through the first of Wits' barriers with relative ease.

Rage's shadow became visible behind Den. He was only a few feet away, but the fog made him almost invisible. He waited for the perfect opportunity. When Den stepped back, he jabbed at the back of his neck from behind. Going for the weakest spot he had exposed.

Rage jumped backward when he felt the sword scrape against the barrel of his gun hoof. "Why the hell do so many of you use these damn swords? what year do think this is?" Without warning, another verical tornado swirled toward Den's back.

(I miss-read jabbed for stabbed) Den rolled his eyes at his comment, using the same technique and slashing backwards to disapate the tornado. After he had done that, the sword turned into a slim, long-barreled revolver, saying, "Because we figured fighting with class was of some importance."

He tilted his gun toward his mouth. "That's a pretty pea shooter, but I prefer my own. Now, I want to hear your crying voice." He started shooting at Dens legs repeatedly.

This caused Den to jump (finally) and bring his gun up. He shot of 6 shots in rapid succession at Rage's general location, pushing him backwards and away from the bullets. He felt a little slippery and realized that he was not only sweating, but being condensed upon by sweat, It didn't bother him to much.

Each bullet entered the fog and made a clanking sound. Rage created a breach in the smog so that Den could see that he had keen shot in the leg. "OH GOD!" He yelled, gritting his teeth. "THAT FEELS SO DAMN GOOD!" He punched the wound causing more blood to gush out. His eyes widened. "HELL YEAH! THAT'S THE GOOD SHIT! YOU GOTTA TRY THIS! IT'S FANTASTIC!"
