The lasers bounced off of Gatasubal, causing no harm. Its armor wasn't even scorched.

 

"Yes, I think you will find my robot quite unbreakable! You see, nothing can break his armor, and he cannot feel pain!"

 

(Hint: even the strongest substance breaks when crashed into itself, and pain is not a weakness.)

 

Nightfall slowly started to circle the robot, trying to get it to target him.

"You seem to not have thought this through, Doctor. While my shots bounce off it, there is a way for me to break it!"

Nightfall kept moving around, shotting his weak shots, taunting the robot.

Gatasubal ignored the alicorn. "PRIORITY ONE, ELIMINATE THREAT" the,machine announced as a third tentacle came from behind its body and shot at Den again. Then it attacked again with its other free tube. The doctor continued to laugh as if he was in no danger himself.

Den broke again, "Scary monsters fighting me," he giggles in the childish voice, "Creepy monsters want to play!" he runs at the robot, "Hi monster! Let's be friends!" He yells playfully, hugging the robot. "Weeeeeeeee!" he giggles as it starts turning and trying to shake him off.

Gatasubal began to wrap one of its tentacle like apendages around its body at an attempt to capture Den. It used its other free tentacle, and a fourth arm from its right side to rush at Nightfall. Its mechanical brain clearly had no problem with multitasking.

Nightfall moved up a bit, then rushed around the robot's body. He hoped this would work quickly, because his power levels were falling fast. He couldn't stay in the state he was for too much longer. Already, his super clear vision was fading, and his wings were beginning to fail him...

He ducked the wrapping tendrils of death and began to hear a hig pitched straining sound, "Ah, is the big bad robot hurt? You really shouldn't do these things to yourself," he chided the robot. "Perhaps it'd be better if you just play with me. The doctor liked playing with me, right doc?" he asks grinning.

The machine uncoiled its arm to reveal a large scratch that ran deep into its armor. In one small place, the scratch ran deep enough to expose some of Gatasubal's inner circuits. Ichigaki was nervous for the first time in the entire ordeal. "This wasn't in my calculations!" He said suppressed, "I think I should go, death gives me the shivers." He turned to the robot carrying him. "Go back Gatasubal. We can always repeat the experiment later."

 

The machine pulled Ichigaki out of the window and began to slowly descend the hospital walls.

[Nightfall 3,950]

Nightfall looked at the doctor, eyes still glowing white. As the Doctor disappeared, Nightfall's powers failed. His eyes closed, and he fell to the floor in a heap. He became completely unconscious. Most of the blood that had been replaced was gone again, due to a few small scratches and the power that was needed. He wouldn't last much longer...

Den giggled, "Look, the captains injured in a hospital. It's a good thing that Den knows how to do a bandage up or else he'd be in trouble. Do-do-do," He hums, while bandaging Nightfall. His humming drops off and his eyes clear up as he works and he shivers, "Sir, where are your handcuffs. Backup will be here any minute and that tape is more than enough evidence to put me away; loony bin or otherwise. You should be fine, but let's move you're room. This one's insecure, plus it's destroyed," he says, helping him into a wheel chair.

[Nightfall 3,950]

Nightfall woke long enough to hear Den mention backup, a looney bin, and getting to a new room.

"Counseling," he whispered. "No looney bin yet... Counseling. Just... Don't try to..."

He faded again. He would be out for a long time. His internal injuries seemed great, and his power level, despite being out of his "hypermode," was still dropping.

He took the captain's pulse. Strong, even though he was pail. He looked around and found a stimulant package and carefully injected it. That should wake him up faster... Now then, there's his 'cuffs. He hoofcuffs himself and manipulates himself into a position to push the wheel chair with them on. Then he pushes him down a few rooms and across the hall. He trotted and switched the name cards so the staff wouldn't get confused, and finaly sits next to the bed, waiting for his fate.

Looks like he's leaving. Clayton thought watching one of the ponies climb onto the back of the robot and ride away down the street. Well I haven't had enough action. He thought jumping into the air and flying towards the entrance of the hospital.

Walking threw the door he noticed no pony was there. I expect they are evacuating the hospital. He thought looking around, he turned back around to the door charged his magic and sent a ball of fire at the doors causing them to burst into flame. That auta make it a little more fun for the nurses...and doctors... and me. Hahahaha. Clayton laughed watching the flames grow bigger and start to spread down the hall.

Den sniffed, Fire. I can't move the Captain right now... There, Extinguisher. He hobbles over there and grabs it, pointing it towards the doorway and getting ready. Fortunately the fire alarm was going off from when he hit it earlier, so the fire department should be getting here soon.

Silver Heart was ashamed, when the hospital had been attacked she was in the break room taking a nap before her next shift. In the confusion she hid inside of a supply closet with a few other staff members. The company was no comfort for her cowardice. She should have helped but she didn't know how. She wasn't strong like the heroes that fought. She had no special powers, abilities, or strong magic. She was weak. It sounded like the fighting had stopped, that meant no more time for pity-parties.

 

Silver Heart was the first one to leave the closet. Silver Heart saw an officer pushing a wheelchair into one of the hospital rooms. Silver Heart followed them into the room. She could tell just by looking that the two that she was probably under qualified to help.

"I-is there anything I can do to help?" She felt rather stupid for asking but there wasn't much else she could do.

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

He looked at the new pony who came in. She looked like a nurse, but he could never really tell the difference in nurses and doctors. "Yah, that there is Captain Nightfall of the Police force. Get him some fluids and get him up, we need him awake so we can move him. Hospital's on fire at the moment."

Nightfall stirred. The stimulants began working their magic. Unfortunately, the effects would only be temporary. But, for the moment, he was rousing.

"Uhn... Den... what's.. what's that smell...? Fire...? Oh... Oh God... get us out... get everyone out... leave me, I'll- *cough* I'll just hold you up..."

"Of course." Silver Heart said as she quickly set up the IVs, she also cast several spells on Captain Nightfall to help numb the pain and revitalize him. "I cast a few spells that will help him, their effects are temporary but they should help him regain consciousness and numb the pain. Is there anything I can do to help you?"

"Yes, get on the intercom, direct everypony to get out. Tell them to use the fire escapes and back entrances; I have a feeling we're going to find some bad stuff in the hallway. Also, if I start sounding like a foal, don't worry. Even crazy I do my job. Now then, Nightfall, sir, I'm afraid I can't just leave you here. My oath was to protect everypony, and that include you," he says grunting as he dragged his boss on top of him. "You're heavy, sir," he sayss, unlocking his cuffs. He exited the room and jogged as fast as he could down the hallway, muttering, "Sorry," incase it hurt.

The captain of the police force eh ? this'll be fun. He said smiling at the three ponies in the room. Move out of the way and no one will get hurt. Clayton made four knives appear in mid air. And yes there is something you can help me with, If you could run and get me a wheel chair that would be fantastic... you know what forget the wheel chair I can take him as he is. Nightfall had ragged, shallow breathing. And the smoke made it worse.

He looked at Clayton.

"Get out..."

"I sooooooo don't have time for this bs. Move it," he says, kicking the obstructing pony in the face and shoving past, "I've already killed more than enough ponies today," he growls, trotting down some stairs. 3 foals. That's 20 years max each. If I have to kill this pony, I'll sit on the moon for a few decades. "Sir, no offense, but shut the buck up."

Silver Heart ran as fast as she could to the main office. "Everypony, the hospital is on fire, evacuate through the side and rear entrances. The fire has spread to the entrance. All staff please save as many patients as you can." Silver Heart said through the intercom.

Clayton laughed rubbing where the pony had kicked him, He flew after him as he trotted down the stairs Clayton dived down on top of him knocking the police warden to the floor. Oh no you dont. he said pushing himself up and punching the pony as hard as he could.

His eyes fogged over and he giggled,"Aww, did mister bad pony get insulted? Let's dance mister!" He says in a five-year old voice. He drills him in the same spot and flings him through a doorway. The he grabs the captain and resumes his run. He hopes in the place his sanity is locked he was worried about the captain.

Jack watched from the foot of the burning hospital. He had two spiders with him now. He spoke to the newer one, "So... giant robot?"

 

"Yes, giant robot," the spider assured "then fire."

 

"I see... well far be it from me to doubt the word of a spider made of my own blood." Jack said to himself, mostly.
