Scout was amused at the whole site, he chuckled and flew back down, he heard the whole conversation, "If you were him you would understand, but clearly you're not" he opened his wing blades and cleared them of blood, "I am The Cutthroat, as some ponies call me, I often do Bounty Hunter work for the fun it, pleasure to meet you" he took a quick bow and smiled, "You probably find me strange, i just want my opponents to know who i am before i slice their head off" he gave a wide wicked grin and lightly chuckled to himself.

Ichigaki tried to kick Lapis off of himself. "This dooesn't concern you!" He yelled. He struggleded one of his legs free and grabbed a remote from his jacket. A crowd was already watching the fight, and he knew calling on Gatasubal would only make a bigger scene.

 

The creature swung his axe leg at Nightfalls leg, bent on only one goal.

Sapphire ran and dived, pushing Nightfall out of the way. The axe came down in just the way to get stuck in one of the bones of her spinal column. She screamed out, and inwardly they both wished they were dead. The pain was almost immobolizing, and they cringed in agony.

Lapis chuckled. "I don't care if this doesn't concern me. I want your inventions. Don't ask me why, I just do!" he said jumping back. He launched an energy sphere towards the remote. "I hope you aren't trying to call for backup!" he said mid-shot. His plan was to beat the doctor senseless then force the stallion to show him his laboratory. Surely he'd have one. Where else would he keep his creations?

The creature slid his axe out of Den's back. He pushed Den aside and completely ignored him once again as he lumbered over to Nightfall. He could not have two goals at once, he had to kill Nightfall. Or, at least he thought he had to. The doctor promised that Nightfall's brain would make him feel better and stop the pain. He wanted that.

 

The doctor jolted his hoof away from the remote and let it be destroyed. "Well, you helped me make my decision," he said after he caught his breath, "That remote doesn't tell Gatasubal to come, it tells her not to come! When the remote is destroyed the signal stops and Gatasubal will no longer remain dormant. That's why I always check the batteries."

"I'm guessing you mean that robot from the hospital. And don't ask me how I know. Once again, it's something that just is. Now I'm going to have to deal with some unstoppable metal behemoth. Wonderful. But unless it can recognize it's creator, you're out of luck as well." he replied a bit angry. He charged forward and attempted to physically assault the doctor. Using his energy bolts might kill the fool. And then Lapis wouldn't be able to find his laboratory.

The doctor let himself be hit by Lapis' assault. He seemed to not care. He had blocked all pain signals to his brain a long time ago. All he had to do now was wait for Gatasubal to come. He would have what he wanted one way or another and nothing would be able to stop him.

Sapphire gasped as the axe slid out of her back. She could feel pain everywhere. Everywhere hurt, and so, she started laughing. It started as little giggles and bubbled into insanity as she slowly, and painfully got to her feet. She took one step, then two, and kept stepping towards the abomination.

 

(Hmm, I have to goals. Not have Nightfall get decapacitated, and not have Sapphire/Den die. That's why I didn't just have them cut through her; it got stuck in the bone, tapped the spinal chord. Now that I've explained myself, she's insane.)

Lapis smacked around Ichigaki until his snout began to bleed. Yet the doctor still wore a face of boredom and indifference. Lapis gave up and walked away. He quickly turned around to face the useless fool. "Well, this isn't going how I planned. Honestly, I didn't really have a plan. Usually things just fit into place. But since you seem inured to pain, I'm just going to wait for your metal abomination. If I can destroy it, then I'm guessing you should feel at least the smallest amount of pain in it's passing." he scoffed. Lapis was relying on two things. One, Ichigaki cared about his creation on some level, and two, he himself would be able to defeat Gatasubal.

Windward walked into his apartment walked up the stairs and dropped the bits on his bed. He stretched yawned and walked back down the stairs into his kitchen to find something to eat. Hmm pasta, Or leftover pizza ? Definitely pizza. But I want pasta. No. eat the pizza. Fine. Windward pulled a box of leftover pizza from his fridge, Took a couple slices then sat down on his couch and turned on the TV.

"Doctor! Stop this thing now! The only way you'll get my brain is if I destroy it first!"

He summoned up some magic, and hoped to find some kind of weapon he could help use as a threat to the doctor. He knew that if this doctor was serious, he wouldn't let Nightfall kill himself by impaling something in his brain.

Scout laughed and watched the miniature war, "If i didn't know any better, i would say this is a game" he eyed the doctor and the monster, why would he need a monster if he was a 'evil' genius? He brushed off that idea rather quickly, wait... blackmail, that's how he would do it! She would be too weak to react, so it was perfect. He sprinted over to the pony known as Sapphire, or Den, and pulled her onto her haunches, grabbed her by the shoulders and held a blade to her throat, "You ready to ruin that brain of yours? You suicide, she dies, simple as that, risk two or one lives? You're choice..." he gave and evil grin and nodded over at the doctor.

"I commit suicide, what does it matter? We'll be dead together."

Nightfall smiled a bit as he said that limping slowly away from the monster, yet at the same time trying to get to Sapphire.

"Now, to be fair, it was a good attempt of yours. A good attempt for a beginner like you."

Lapis gazed over to the random pony near Sapphire. He realized that he hadn't really noticed him. "Hey, what exactly do you think you are doing? Some sort of hostage situation? What are you trying to accomplish?" he asked keeping an eye out for the robot. The sooner that thing could get here, the sooner the playing field would change. In a show of force, he launched a weak pulse at the hooves of the unknown pony holding Sapphire at knife point.

"Think about it for a second, think it through. If you give yourself over then your brain will become of something to help this monster, but there will be somepony extra to try and help stop him, or you can kill yourself AND she dies and we continue to reap havoc without you pathetic police ponies" he looked over at the other pony talking to him, "I'm doing what i can for the fun of it, you got a problem with that?" he scoffed and sighed, "You ponies really are no fun, pretty stupid as well. I'm not a beginner, I've been doing this for some time now"

Devoid of reason, the creature swung his axe hoof at Nightfall as he passed. The doctor seemed unconcerned about Nightfall's threat. The only thing that he was nervous about was how long it was taking for Gatasubal to arrive. Everything else would fall into place.

[Nightfall 3,950]

"Well, we police ponies are failing, yes, but I'm not going to help some 'evil doctor' wreak havoc by letting him use my brain... That would be as stupid as your so called 'threat.' If I did, I would die anyway."

Nightfall looked the pony holding Sapphire hostage up and down.

"Sometime, you say? You don't look it. Maybe that's a good thing in your case, but I say see to believe, and your not making me believe with the weak build of yours."

Nightfall hadn't seen the creature approach. He tried ducking, but ended up having his right shoulder hacked intoby the ax-leg. He fell to the ground, now almost defensless. But a pole near by was just what he wanted. He magically levitated it by his head, ready to insert it at any moment.

"Release Den and stop this madness," he cough. Some blood came up.

"Den... I think... We're not going to make it either..."

Sapphire shivered into Den and a hard look came over his face. "Seems we have a bit of bad luck, sir," he says. He shakes from the flowing wounds and his legs dropped out beneath him. He coughs a few times and blood comes out. "I think I'm gunna die anyway. I'm gunna pass out soon."

"So you would just give up? Does the city not mean anything to you? Does anypony really mean anything to you? And honestly, this is just a silly little game, i'm not giving this any effort at all" he rolled his eyes and sighed for the one billionth time, Are they serious? This is the funniest game I've ever seen, Pathetic! "I'm built for agility, i'm not some fat piece of pie that goes around and smashes everything visible"

"Fun? You're having fun?" Lapis gave him a insane grin. "That's lovely. Do you know what I like to do for fun?" He charged up a mild power level energy ball and flung it towards the stallion. "I hope you like it, I made it myself. Take it as a present from one fun lover to another." He chuckled darkly hoping that it would shake things up.

"I'm willing to give up my life to protect this city from the doctor's scheme. What does that tell you? That I have priorities, and I keep them straight. I kill myself, and you kill her, well... It's better than being an evil doctor's 'pet.'"

Nightfall kept living on the ground, holding the pole there. He hoped the doctor would stop the monster. He was ready to die if he needed to, but didn't want to die...

Scout had no idea what the ball would do, so he held up the pony he was gripping like a meat shield, "Was that supposed to do something? And actually this is boring, if i had something else to do i would leave you to your business, but sadly i don't" he put the pony down, he took out one of the blades and stabbed it into the ponies leg so she.. or he, couldn't move, "At least you are having fun"

Den laughed, "We've done a lot for our city. I'm insane, and probably going to die for my city. But right now there's not much I can do," he says, shakily getting to his feet, "Except this," he says, spitting blood into the eyes of his captor. "I hope I have some dormant, infectious disease."

[Bari 7,023]

The energy ball only caused mild pain to the hostage, much less compared to the cuts. Lapis rolled his eyes. This stallion wasn't very fun at all. "I see that you are a coward. And I thought you'd want to play. No matter. Now, I don't really care about you Nightfall, but I don't want anyone to succeed here. So, here's my offer. I'll try and help you, and you make sure no one wins, okay?" he announce, a devious grin plastered upon his face. "I know you don't want to die today. What do you say?"

"Very touching, really," The doctor laughed, "But I think you're all forgetting something."

 

The crowd began to panic and run as a massive, silver machine walked down the road. If they hadn't made a scene yet, they had now. The machine approached them all, but stopped. For the first time, the doctor's smug grin was wiped clean off.

 

The machine fell foreword and crashed into the ground. Its back was stripped of its armor and the bare circuits could be seen. "What.... just happened?" The doctor stuttered.

 

Behind the robot arose a pony that nobody expected to see. The oldest of the foals that the doctor had controlled, the colt that was supposed to be dead limped over the broken machine. He was battered, burned, and bloody. A massive, bloody hole was seen on his back where the Beruki had been.

 

"That's not possible!" The doctor cried.
