Greetings everyone, I will now be closing the roleplay to any newcomers at this time, I and my moderators still have bios to look over and we have just about reached are max of five OCs per faction. All those that have currently placed will still be allowed the chance to join.

Marathon, on the necromancer  I would be willing to allow the OC yet as it has been said your pony cannot know more powerful magic then Twilight Sparkle, even with the disadvantages you have offered. Also as a necromancer and a member of the Cult of Laughter you will know a limited selection of spells that will complement the position you are in. As such you will be able to summon Laughing Dead, though such will make you unliked/hated by other ponies not of the Cult, and possibly fear/shadow based magic. Even then there will be a limit, such can be discussed with the Moderator of the Cult of Laughter once I look over and approve your bio.

Actually, I made a drawing of a human smiling doll and showed it to two people. One of them was scared and looked at me like I was insane while the other one said, "Aww, that's adorable! I just want to hug it!" Judging by the person who said that, I don't think he was kidding.

Alright, that's fair enough. So by limit you mean a limit on the number of spells I can know, correct?

I'd like to make the note, people, that if your pony uses a weapon and isn't a unicorn, odds are that weapon you use will be implemented into the armour in some way or another. People tend to forget that, and have ponies wield swords in their hooves. HOOVES DON'T HAVE FINGERS. I could see something working if you get an ezio-thing going on with a sword, but that's probably the closest you're gonna get.

 

Exceptions might have to be made for stuff like bows and arrows, or crossbows, or slingshots, or other particular circumstances.

 

Here are some alternatives.

Well, continuing about the Cult of Laughter I just took a look at that "unit list". This was at an incredibly low resolution due to my phone refusing to load properly.

 

I can hereby tell you that it is genuinely the most sinister and disturbing thing I have seen in my life. Cupcakes... Well it doesn't even compare to these horros.

 

But don't worry guys/gals, I wasn't planning on sleeping anyway. And even if I was then there's no way a creepy automaton with a smile carved into its face would deter me... Um... OH GOD SAVE ME!

 

On an RP related note, how in Celestia's name are our characters going to react to these monstrosities? I don't think even the comforting BOOM of Fixit's cannon will prevent him from turning tail and just running as far as possible when he sees those laughing dolls coming at him, with their spidery legs and spikes and sinister grins... *shivers*

Well I think it might just be less complicated and easier to say that they are aloud to use things that take fingers because it will be hard to decided things like what should and shouldn't be used.

True, that would be easier. My soulution would have been to say anything larger than a medium-length sword... But eh. It's easier to just say, whatever. 

 

We should at least give the option of using armour-weapons, considering they're canon.

Actually this came up in another roleplay, let me recreate my ruling on such:

On the use of weapons most ponies would need to use their mouth, and can use such weapons that require one hand (no two handed weapons) can be used for full effect in a pony's mouth unless they have other ways of doing such (like wings for small weapons or magic). The one disadvantage to this is the fact that a pony will not be able to talk while doing this, and without a strap will be unable to speak unless they drop the weapon are in their hoof if they are not walking.

 

The problems with hooves are not so much the lack of hands as the fact all hooves are needed for walking/running/moving around. It would be too cumbersome for a pony to try and use their hooves while moving around in combat. This is why the weapon they use would need to be held in some other way, either as suggested above by Descant or as I have suggested with the mouth being used.

The wing can also be used for weapons, but only daggers or other small weapons, likely a pegasus holding throwing weapons in their wings of some sort.

Well its not canon, but i've seen pics that people made where ponies hold swords in their mouths. Not sure how that would work. Besides The Royal Gaurd have spears. If they are ever show then with a weapon they hold a spear with their hoof. And if ponys can pratically grab things almost like we do, i guess its possible for them to hold a sword in their hoof. Another alternative would be to have something attacked to their hind legs for when they buck. Like the Earthborn have.

My character would just stare at that the thing. Both in wonder and horrified. Until the thing jumps at him ofcourse...

Star Rain would probaly just try to blast the sucker out of the way. Or if she has enough energy, she would spawn a huge water orb and try to drown it, hoping it doesn't know how to swim.

Oh one last thing, my how evil our OCs will be I would likely rate Mythos Gray as a 6 or a 7, as while he can be very selfish and manipulative using ponies for his own goals.... yet he would not go out of his way to cause physical harm to others, least of all kill them, unless he had no other choice. He has been corrupted by his gift, but he still tries to hold onto what makes him a pony.

I don't know, maybe others would rate him higher.

 

Stardream is not really evil in the least likely being a 2 at most, which is why she wanders Equestria and refuses to join a faction with only the stars as her friends and comfort... especially after what happened between her and Mythos Gray

 

Golden Dawn would also be low, perhaps a 3 to 4 at most, though he does hate how the heroes of Equestria have divided Equestria. Also because of his honorable nature taught to him by his father and because of his service in the royal guard he is unlikely to kill unless he has too, though he is willing to cripple any threat he sees to other ponies.

Sorry but no, perhaps a small blunt weapon being tied to one hoof but all in all as ponies need all four legs to move around carrying a weapon in their hooves is just not reasonable. The mouth is the best bet if one does not have wings or magic as while it will restrict speaking it will make sure a pony is less likely to trip or hurt themselves in combat. Like I said if they have a way for their weapon to have around their neck/shoulder they could let the weapon down for a moment to speak before putting it back in their mouth.
