As for the avatar and name thing you guys were talkin' 'bout. Not so sure if that would work. Mods are going to be playing more characters than just the OCs. Like for me i'm probably gonna have to be Twilight and other people in the House. (and plus i don't have a pic of my OC...) I think we should just settle for a list heheh.

Still gonna be risky. You are gonna be supicious. Taller, longer horn, always wearing an robe. But hey i guess thats the fun of it. If i ever find out your an alicorn, i would never tell the archmagister. Hell i would try and get you out of the House as soon as possible. But thats just me. idk 'bout the others...

For your first note, I didn't think about that, either. I'm probably going to end up being Rarity and other House members part of the time too. So I agree, let's just make a list and leave it at that.

That is the fun of it. The risk of being discovered. As for House Whitegold, Descant would be an invaluable asset, if you made it... worth his time, @@Nightfall.

Building a small engine that could help overthrow the other houses... Dusk plans on debating his case that way. Promising to help greatly by developing things that could change the world. Even if he is an alicorn, he will debate his case and try to stay to gain power. Dusk has, over the fifteen years the princesses have been gone, become tyrannical, bitter, and harsh.

And then they will take it off him by force and kill him in his sleep so he can be experimented on. Trust me when I say your bet option unless you want to die early is to lay low for now. Some of the easiest ways of laying low are the Under Cities of Manehattan and wandering the lands as a drifter. It would make sense that if you had some kind of device that could decide the outcome of wars you would offer up your services to the highest bidder while keeping your identity low.

But I must say that joining House Star and Moon is probably one of the worst decisions for an Alicorn with a battle deciding engine. First of all there is the Inquisition, what they want to know they find out, it's that simple. You can't run from them while within the city. Next is Twilight herself. Something tells me she is more than capable of picking out a Alicorn from the crowd, especially i said Alicorn is trying to make a deal with her and making herself known. Then there is a certain chance that Twilight will experiment on you which would lead to your death very early on in the RP. Last of all you have nowhere to hide. You would be drawing enough attention to yourself that someone discovering your true identity is inevitable.

Let's just run over some of the other houses. Everfree; After the abandonment of the sisters you would be killed on sight for the betrayal of the Alicorn race. Cult o Laughter; Maybe, but then again who wants to be a servant to such a horrible deity. As an Alicorn they probably would make you some kind of religious leader. Star and Moon; you heard what I had to say, certain death awaits you there. White Gold; I don't know if they would accept you as a noble, but as a common dweller you would slip through their fingers quite easily, while still being able to bribe certain figures and offer your services as a mercenary. Stormwing; Yeah, no. You would be caught upon the first inspection and executed on the spot. Earthborn; Find a way to hide your horn then you have yourself a short term soloution. Other than that they would kill you on sight. This is a very grim future indeed.

You run a good argue meant. It sounds like you are trying to save my life. Very well, you have moved me to do so. WhiteGold it is. I'm changing my bio now.

However, technically, I will be a mercenary.

Wait, no, I'm still in Canterlot. I'll do what I want. I'm lying low at first...

It would be interesting if someone's OC runs away from their House and joins another one. But while you're on the run, you'd have to be very strategic and may even have to fly to throw off your pursuers if they decide to send any.

Hmmm actually you being an alicorn may be important. It has given me a good idea for the plot. But i supose i would have to discuss that with Scholar. And besides if you try and show your engine to anyone they are probably just gonna laugh at you. House and Moon values knlowledge and asenssion through magic. They only care for magic. They would laugh at a mechanical device and deem it stupid since it has nothing to do with magic.

I've also been thinkin' 'bout other things too. Like why the Princesses are gone. And i guessing the creator of Equestria divided didn't ahve this intention, but now with season 3 out i came up with a pretty good idea. What if it all was a test? Celestia and Luna leaving. What if this all was one big terrible test used to see how Twilight would handle things if the Princesses disapeared? If it was then oviously Twilight failed horriblly.

Lol!!!! Princess Trollestia at her most potent! But all this talk of engines is making me miss my original OC... has anypony here multiroled before, and if so, is it more trouble than it's worth? Dunno why I'm talking about multi characters though... should wait to be accepted first.

I still think being an alicorn ANYWHERE in Rp would be fatal, No matter where you hide, ponies are going to be curious, and ponies are going to hate the alicorns.  It's not like you wouldn't be connected to the disappearance of Celestia and Luna.  If you stay the night at any sort of hotel or hostel, you'd likely be stolen from, and discovered in your sleep.  The ponies of the RP world have very small windows of opportunity.  I have no doubt inn owners have a way of robbing their own guests.  Most of all, I have no doubt that EVERYPONY in Equestria would want to kill an alicorn.

Maybe it will put him on the run... Maybe he'll run and join the cult of laughter, showing them his invention...

Maybe House and Moon won't laugh at him... It all depends...

I agree that being an alicorn would be dangerous, but not everyone would want them dead. Princess cadance is more or less a political replacement of the royal sisters. Earthborn would want to kill an alicorn, Twilight would experiment on one, can't really say what the rest of the houses would do.

I can't see the Cult caring about the species of its members, and I think Whitegold would also be fairly indifferent to having an alicorn in their midst, as long as said alicorn didn't inconvenience anypony important.

Gather your army, hoist a flag, declare yourself as a vassal, and ask your most loyal men to keep your tent every single night.

If you're persuasive enough and give them enough gold, I think your companion wouldn't mind if they're fighting under the command of an alicorn, but keep it as a secret as long as possible.

Got to say, being an alicorn is dangerous. Especially because the title "The Alicorn Slayer" sounds good.

Personally, I think your best bet would be either Everfree or Whitegold. Everfree IS place where most of the unwanted go and I bet enough of the original Fluttershy would be left to at least accept you. After all, House Everfree was originally a group of refugee camps. Whitegold would maybe let you in but they very likely won't trust you. Then again, it's a House full of deceit and spying and so you can trust very few ponies if any.

But if you are the last alicorn, who says there will be more? Mares will be all over me. :3

So does the title "Nightfall Starline/Dusk Graystone, The Last Alicorn."

Dude, stop being so full of yourself.  the fact of the matter is that you need to make your own camp, by yourself if you want to survive as an alicorn in this RP.  And as such, you're not likely to get much interaction.

Everybody says earthbound, Everfree and Whitegold.

Earthbound: Would likely kill you of torture you as long as they could since you're not an earth pony.

Everfree: Might take you in for a bit, possibly your best chance, but a high and sophisticated Alicorn as yourself wouldn't fit in, and would likely be considered suspicious.  Next thing you know you're thrown onto the battlefield, or your brawled by a random mad pony, and your precious fabric rips.  They find out your an Alicorn, and you're punished.  I have no doubt Fluttershy has some reasons to take out her anger on an Alicorn.  She was most likely scared when the princesses disappeared, and now that she's in charge of the Everfree, she probably hates the princesses for scaring her.  Who's the next best thing she can scare to return the favor?

Whitegold: Would find out way too quickly who you were, and would send out the info to the other factions as a bargaining chip for money or protection.  They would most likely sell you out rather than deal with you themselves, and believe me, an Alicorn would go for a high price, so there's no doubt the money will be good enough.

Not to mention, if you wander, you'll be followed and mugged and no doubt your special clingy clothes will either be stolen or torn and useless.

I'm telling you that an Alicorn is a bad choice.

Okay, let's get started then.

First off, it's Earthborn, not bound. Next of all they wouldn't torture her, maybe stone her, banish her, killer on the spot. But just remember there is plenty of land in Earthborn territory to hide in.

Next off there's Everfree. This is a toughie, but not hard to accomplish. They would accept a unicorn IF maybe it had basically become one with the forest in one way or another. Incredibly unlikely but possible.

Going alone in the wild = Certain death. This isn't like going for a camping trip. There are constant battles plaguing the lands, if you are caught in one of these you are dead. If another band of roaming outlaws finds you, you're dead. If you are found in the open by a warrior band from one of the houses, you're dead. The wild isn't the safe haven it once was.

Last of all there is House Whitegold. This is actually probably the best location for an Alicorn to hide out for one big reason.

The Under City.

This is an area underneath Manehattan that takes up most of the cities population. Under hear rule the gangs and mercenaries that make up the law enforcement. It is a place full of cutthroats and brigands. Perfect hiding spot. A cloaked stranger would go unnoticed by any, yet still be able to subtly play an impact in the politics of the house. Corruption and bribery are all too common in this area of the world.

An Alicorn with a certain amount of knowledge can survive, even thrive in these environments without threat of ever being discovered or turned in. That is why I say that house Whitegold is the best option for an Alicorn to hide, so it actually has a chance of living for more that three posts.

All I can say is that to survive in war, you need a lord to serve. It doesn't matter if you're a noble, powerful mage, or perfect warrior. Even someone with a title "God of War" needs a lord, so join a house. Well, it reminds me even a vassal needs a kingdom to serve or at least, he has a good relation with all of the (or at least one) faction leaders.
The problem is that you're an alicorn and (almost) everypony (based on this setting) hate alicorn.
The House of Whitegold sounds promising, but it's filled by spy and you're hunted. That's the risk.
Choice wisely. Join this war with those difficulties or change your alicorn identity.
Sky Warden "The Alicorn Slayer". LOL, sorry guys. That sounds really good.

the undercity may be a good hiding spot, and it's possible they wouldn't find out about him for a longer time than any other faction, but the house of whitegold is also full of spys and decievers.  I find it likely that by one way or another, they'd find out pretty quickly there was an alicorn in the undercity.  I'm pretty sure Rarity would want to keep tabs on all of the low life there.

Not to mention that the undercity, as you said, was full of gangs and mercernairies.  I'm pretty sure that if one were to hide in the undercity, they wouldn't have the easiest life there.  It's likely he'd be mugged or stolen from, just by the nature of who would be in the undercity with him.

MY last suggestion, apart from telling you to edit your char to stop being an Alicorn  is to find a neutral city without much cult of laughter activity, and lie low there.

Well, sorry, but I want to use Nightfall in this. And I know I'm going into a dangerous house at first, but who says, at first whiff that they've picked up my scent, that I can't run from the house? If all becomes very bad, I may make a run for Manehatten. Until then, I'm in Moon and Star.

If you're accepted, then it's okay to play with him (I think EquestrianScholar knows the best). The alicorn problem will begin soon after the game started and seriously, I really want to see how would you survive this RP with an alicorn, so don't die easily. ;)

Nightfall, in almost all RPs he's in, gets hurt but never gives up. This time, I'll try to avoid pain and make him power on.

I've got two questions. Do we need to have all six Guardians of Harmony before we start, too? And will more OC's be allowed to join after we've started the RP?

Just to interject, my own character already being approved despite his Alicorn-ness will likely take one of a few courses of action:

1. Hide- His specific talents are suited to being alone and wilderness survival, so he has a better chance than a random pony off the streets. This option is most likely just a step to one of the other ones.

2. Vassalship- Despite the resounding hate against Princess Celestia and Luna, practically ever house (Except House Earthborn) would at the very least consider an Alicorn a powerful asset/ally. True, some are more inclined to experiment, but simply being an alicorn gives you certain talents that everyone wants.

3. Conquest- Eh, its always an option. If none of the other houses will take you, try to start your own. Yes, alicorns are hated, but history and mythology are full of those who are despised becoming leaders in adversity.

4. Quest- Find Luna and Celestia basically. If they exist at all that is. Even if they were found tensions would still be difficult, but it would alleviate some stress.
