Why is it that inactivity just seems to strike the RPs that have semi-fixed storyline in it? It seems like creativity just seems to flow better on a RP with only just a general idea... That's just me.

It's not really that. It's just that RPs sometimes die if people aren't continually posting in them, or if there aren't enough people in general. That's why I try to make larger RPs, because there's more people to keep up the pace in case people die out.

 

An RP that is too broad and lets people do whatever also has a tendency to die out due to them not knowing what lines to follow along or what to do. You need some kind of guideline.

 

I think we need to get a few more people to join. And Aureity should join as an actual pony since I ate him. XD

True, but having a large group of people in a RP could grow a little out of control and the others would get lost in the sheer amounts of posts that could happen while others are sleeping. (Like me back when I first joined in the Shifted remake RP) That's why I went for a medium-sized group for my RP, but right now, I'm not even sure if it's enough... I would really hate to see this personality of Alex Night get swept away by the inactivity of the others here. It would make me and Fluttershy very sad...

Red alert! Red alert! Scootacool fell asleep at the wheel and the RP hit the snooze button on its alarm!

 

I refuse to allow this RP to die. You can expect my posting frequency to be quite high for the near future. I apologize for the lack of activity. I was busy stomping bugs around the site, attempting to partially resuscitate my bad wrists, and a bunch of other random stuff. The important thing is that I have now reached a steady state that should last for at least the next few weeks or so.

 

Now, I hope to move things into the mansion and get things moving at a fast clip.

 

Besides this, the RP is now open for more characters! I'm going to go and attempt to recruit some more peeps over the next few days or so. My goal is to pick up the pace dramatically, but not dramatically enough to leave anyone in the dust.

Oh my gosh… Your post was indeed the perfect setup! That means that it is time for me to slip into the character of Trixie. May Celestia have mercy on my existence. Don't worry, I won't get too crazy and carried away… I intend to have lots of fun with this though.

 

I wasn't expecting to post as Trixie today, so I will be just a little bit delayed on pulling this together (got home rather late today). No worries though, I will have plenty of time tomorrow evening. Time and the right mentality. I'll have to do reach deep within me and channel my inner Trixie. It will be very interesting…
