I will just go and prove them wrong for the hell of it. Edited April 2, 2015 by bonamb
Nerdy Luigi 2,065 April 2, 2015 Share April 2, 2015 I usually ignore them, or try to. I can't take insults easily. When I don't ignore them, it gets awful. I leave them alone with their hateful and unsupported statements, I'm glad I did.

RavenholmZombie 1,330 April 2, 2015 Share April 2, 2015 In the beginning, when I first joined the fandom, One would usually find me in the YouTube Comment Colosseum engaging trolls and haters in glorious text-based combat. Nowadays, though. I just ignore them. Either that or I get under their skin. I usually do so by playing the "Blissfully Unaware" card. Either that, or I just turn all creepy on them until they give up and stop replying. 1 RavenholmZombie - Brony since 2011
SCS 7,537 April 2, 2015 Share April 2, 2015 In real life? I don't, because I choose not to be open about my love for MLP. A lot of my friends don't even know about it. Online, I just avoid them and ignore them. They're a waste of time, and I'm not going to waste any of my time on their sorry asses.
OkBuddy 586 April 3, 2015 Share April 3, 2015 Usually I don't take any trolls seriously, so I just joke around. 1 I'm a Y2K Survivor™
Jeric 46,854 April 14, 2015 Share April 14, 2015 Moving to Sugarcube Corner and merging with an existing topic. Fandom related items belong in Sugarcube. I'm a bad person to answer the question personally, because I've never became angry or incensed over being attacked in this way. I mean, haters tend to illicit the same emotional response from me as someone asking me to pass the salt. It's friends, family, and people I respect saying something vicious that can (on occasion) get a reaction out of me.
Revy ~ Two Hands 862 April 14, 2015 Share April 14, 2015 (edited) 1) I'm not reading that wall of text that has absolutely no proper indentation. 2) I just ignore them and find the majority who do like MLP since most people on MLP videos are fans. 3) I drop hints that I watch the show for anyone who follows me on YouTube or social media. Overdrive 5,366 April 14, 2015 Share April 14, 2015 The first thing to realize is that trolls are careless and extremely close-minded. They find something different from what they're used to, and have a field day with it. It happens all the time, pretty much anywhere these days. The reason that trolls act the way they do is because they are immature. They have no respect for others, and probably never will. It allows them to feel invincible, and as a result, they think they can get away with anything. Trolls feed off of negative attention. They'll harass and insult you until they're blue in the face to get a reaction out of you, ultimately for their own amusement. Here's the key: don't give them that reaction. Ignore them instead. If you choose to give them your time, and feed them your reaction, they lower you down to their level, to the point where respect and dignity are thrown out of the window just to have a laugh. If you ignore them, and choose not to give them your time, it'll show you are the bigger person, as well as you aren't going to take their stupidity and ignorance. Remember: if you don't have anything nice to say, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. "I'd rather trust and regret, than doubt and regret."
Grepper 3,192 April 14, 2015 Share April 14, 2015 I haven't interacted with haters yet, but I'd just try to ignore them if it's online.
HailTrixie 239 April 14, 2015 Share April 14, 2015 (edited) Dear god the paragraphs in OP's post. Or lackthereof. In all seriousness though, I agree with pretty much everything you said, OP Just one thing: "For my last words, trollers/haters are normally people who are socially awkward and spend most of their time playing video games, and don't know how to react to a lot of people, and so they take the life on the internet, [blah blah]" The main point of your post is pointing out that haters are generalising bronies, but then you are generalising them by saying that. A lot of them are just totally normal people, just like us - they just have some distorted views on a few things. Doesn't mean they are terrible people, and it doesn't mean they are socially awkward. And where did the video games thing come from? I'm just saying, it's a bit hypocritical, and if you want these guys to stop making fun of us, enacting hypocrisy will just make bronies look bad and add fuel to the fire.
