Sarcastic Font

I think that a sarcasm font/feature would be a nice addition to the list of fonts/features that we already have. Then there would be no confusion when someone is being sarcastic.

 

 

Here is the easiest solution:

It's bascially a backwards slanted Arial.

 

The nicer, but more difficult solution:

Lol, It can't be applied to the "span" tag unfortunately so it would have to either be done from a "div" or "p" tag. You can make a "div" tag look like a "span" tag if you add "display:inline" to the "style" attribute.

I don't know about you, but I never user sarcasm on the forums.

 

This would be kinda cool... Though it really doesn't seem like something worth taking the time to add. If added, then woot, yay. If not, then meh. Do support, I guess, though. :/

While I tend to use a cross out font if it is a joke or sarcasm, I think that maybe this would be a good idea, because then you can actually tell if someone is being sarcastic, or maybe crossing out an error in a post.

Between italics and cross out, I've never found myself craving something specific like this due to not being able to portray my sarcasm. And by that same token, no one I'm aware of wasn't able to tell when I was being sarcastic, any of those times.

 

Can't say this is something I'm particularly in need of, and I think the available options are able to show sarcasm just fine, so, that's my input.

One of the thigs that I totally don't care about. I do not really think that people here need a specific font for their sarcasm to be understood, but on the other hoof, addition of this won't hurt anybody, so meh.

I don't think this will be helpful, because nobody on this site uses sarcasm ever. Especially not me. I am serious about everything and what I say is always 100% what I believe to be true.

I find that a simple http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png transfers sarcasm quite well. And isn't the point of sarcasm to not be 100% obvious anyway? I find it much more effective when the victim doesn't quite get it.

This could be interesting and cool, yet I might never use it. I tend to not use sarcasm a lot, maybe ever now and then. On second thought, it could be useful. I like this idea.

It's quite useless, as people will use this font to justify that they're not sarcastic while they totally are. Not to mention a true master of sarcasm can easily do his job without any extra cosmetics

This. Seriously, you need to work on your delivery if you are unable to prove sarcasm in your posts. White text stating it's not serious is always a + for me, the RCT would know. If there's no white text, and you truly think your sarcasm would be offended or taken seriously, just state it's a joke so things don't go haywire.
