Please pay the debt to Tom Nook, he's hungry for money! Jokes aside, I haven't played Animal Crossing: New Leaf on my 3DS XL for about 2 years. Even if I try to replay that game, I still can't because the 3DS XL is completely dead and barely lasts 1 minute. I also have the charger to charge the 3DS XL, but unfortunately the charging port is damaged and therefore it is impossible to charge it. I had so many memories in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Minecraft, I've still got to do some interiors of my castle however some of the interiors are going to be based on real life castles which I found images of on Google. Windsor castle is one I was looking at with a friend the other day. No, this castle in my Minecraft world is not going to be Canterlot from My Little Pony, as cool as that castle is, I decided to do something different, but it is a European style castle still, it has an armory hall, a great hall, indoor balconies and all that fun stuff.

YES! OKAY, FINALLY, I just said I've been waiting for something to get enthused about gaming-wise! 

RARIDOOM

Let me start by saying that I realize I am very likely so late to the party that even the clean up has been taken care of, I get it.

But I'm just now discovering this for the first time. 

Apparently, bahatumay began development on this mod right after the FIM season 2 finale.  

It's so old it was made at the end of the ZDOOM era. 

Fortunately, the link above takes you to a fully self contained package based on GZDOOM with some additional fixes and quality of life enhancements. 

Everything you need to play is included. 

My Review: 

To say that GZDOOM or BOOM compatible fan mods and megawads have been a part of my life as a gamer is an understated understatement.

Just like everything else gaming related, I'd been kinda bored lately. 

After PL2, PRCP, TNTR, CPD, DTWID and even D2TWID...you start wondering how many FINAL DOOM inspired remashups you have left in you. 

Mods that take DOOM out of its own universe can be iffy.

Indeed one of the criticisms of RARIDOOM I've read is that it is undercooked.

I would say it's cooked rare, ah ha ha.

All the changes do what they need to do.

Very different weapons include a hoof mounted jigsaw that does stunning amounts of damage very quickly, and all manner of spells and pyrotechnics.

Basically, the game takes place in an AU where the rest of the Mane 6 and Sweetie Belle have been kidnapped and taken deep into the Changeling Hive.

It falls to Rarity to rescue them.

Most "full" Megawads are 32 levels, RARIDOOM gives you 36 levels, spread across four episodes. 

Remember that Rarity is also a unicorn, just like Twilight Sparkle, or Starlight Glimmer,or Trixie.

And she's MAD, really mad.

You rain down molten sparks upon the changelings, set them on fire or cut them in half.

If DOOM is not your thing, RARIDOOM won't be either. 

But if DOOM is your thing, don't miss this. 

The game plays fast, and it's not easy. 

Also, in the packaged version, all cheats have been disabled. 

It might look cute at first but on the upper difficulty levels, it is both challenging and a lot of fun.

The levels are rather basic, and there are only so many textures. 

Some people complain about all the cheesy, appropriated fan images of Queen Chrysalis that are all over the walls of the hive, eh...so?

No one who should be outraged by this is gonna walk right into it on accident. 

I am saying that this is not some kind of cutesy pie thing, no, this is a real DOOM mod and deserves to be considered as such. 

To me it's a blast, but I've played WAY TOO MUCH DOOM. 

Rocking soundtrack, featuring old school Kevin MacLeod and some boss remixes of DOOM and Nintendo tracks.
