need new books

im very interested in becoming a child abuse counselor and would like some suggestions on child abuse fiction/non fiction to read to help me understand it from a victims perspective

can any pony list some books in that area of literature?

"A child called it" is a great one, but you might have already read it. if not it's definitely worth checking out. Honestly that's the only one I know of.

Lolita, though I'm not entirely sure of the angle the story takes regarding child abuse. I've never read it myself but the name of the book has come up in different occasion, in regard to some sexual abuse cases.
