Wow... I don't even know how I can even critique this. It's... perfect! The only criticism anyone could even give is HURR DURR MAKE IT MORE LIKE THE ART STYLE OF MLP!

 

I haven't ever considered commissions - especially since I have nothing I especially want. But this... holy hell. I suppose since I watched MLP I wanted something and it's that typical scenario of wanting to see myself as a pony, which would be pretty cool. I guess I have some idea of what I should look like, so I at least have that on my side for the moment.

 

Damn good work, I have to say. It's moments like these I wish I could draw...

For @CrystalRose

i wanted to do something inspired from lauren faust's original pony sketches.  so i think i got it pretty stylized and cohesive.  the blue outline i liked pretty much solely because i thought it would look so cute faded out and plastered on a t-shirt. xD <3  the pink one i tried to stay more..normal outlines for ponies i guess.  im still debating on whether i like the eyes not being black outlined though.   as always critiques are loved.  sometimes i doodle, sometimes im for serious XD this was for serious!

 d'aaaawwww <3  this is why i draw x3  youre very welcome, and im so glad you liked them  btw you must be like a speed drawer or something, because your request thread is /hoppin'/ holy cow!  i love peeking in every few days to see whats new.  

The last ones I like less but aside from that amazing! all these lines are so smooth and I can't trace and rough lines (although with the last updated picture the fore hooves look kind of awkward thin to my liking...)

yeah they are a bit thin now that you mention, and the bodies look off to me too, but squishing them around didnt do a whole lot, so i just left em kinda wiggly haha.  i just wanted a "base" down so i could work on a colour scheme for them. <3 thanks for the input though!

 

my latest piece, Esme, for i forgot her wings first time around haha ;  i dont know why it didnt occur to me that she is on a cloud, and you need those for that xD  i really like the shading on the legs for this one, and its kind of subtle, but i put a gradient on the outline as well.

I seriously love this tail. Look at it. It just flows so... flowey. I want to brush it. And eat it like spaghetti. And steal it's magic so I can draw tails like that too.

Wow. All of these pictures are so good... wow. If I had just half of your talent I would feel accomplished! Seriously, I'm astounded by all of this. Your ability is amazing. I love the Big Mac picture and I love Moriko's OC. Absolutely amazing. I would love to see my OC drawn by you, cause I have the feeling you could make absolutely anypony's OC look amazing!

BWHAHAHAHA! <3  anyhoo, i present to you my new OC: Imaginary Ink.  His hair moves like the princesses  do, and his cutie mark is an upside question mark.  and because im uncreative as crap with personality building, i guess his talent is either invisibility spells or polymorphing stuff. i cant decide.

Ive had this gal in my head a while now.  ive decided her name is Bellarita....like ballerina and margaritas lmao. BUT shes like a vegas showgirl.  i thought strawberry strumpette would be a cute stage name--because ive an affinity with alliteration--but the beaux liked strawberry tart better.  i picture her having a very mae west personality: "Personality is the glitter that sends your little gleam across the footlights and the orchestra pit into that big black space where the audience is."

on top of that, i cant decide which lines i like better on her :/ i like the experimental white lines but the background is hateful towards it... ugh.

critique please!  this is a VERY special gift for an old friend of mine x3 her baby showers sunday, and im doing an 11 x 16 canvas print of this for her. i just re-read the last unicorn, which is one of my faaavourite books x3

I assume the foal having no horn is on purpose?

 

 

-The unicorn's (Amalthea's?) head looks a bit odd to me around the nose area

-the one long strand of hair ooff the unicorns tail tip looks a bit too long/out of place

-maybe make the unicorns eyelid a tad darker so it matches the foal's

-the hollow star in the foals eye might look weird at the intended size. maybe make it solid

-the area of leaves above and right of the foal seems a bit flat in places. also not being "connected" to the floor makes it look weirdly floaty.

yes, because i figure the foals horn would be stumpy and its kinda busy there anyways.

 

youre right about those lashes, and that funky filligree hair on the tail

 

and the star blurred in the eye ><

 

maybe if i had actually put some branches on that tree itdve helped lmao <3

 

 

 

okaaayyy..... i cant figure out how to fix the nose, but it looks moose-ish 

 

fixed the tail hair, added branches, filled the eye highlight, and toned it down a bit--it looks more organic now and not like the stamp that it was xD  darkened the mares facial features

 

--i figured out the wonky colours, im a dummy xD cmyk just doesnt display well on rgb. thus it looks like crap on the monitor, in print it was fine albeit dark. bringing it into adobe illustrator gave me a better print preview.

Maybe try adding some volume to the forehead while taking away some in the area between the eye and the nostril? I'd say your best bet is to fidget around with it until you find something that works.
