Okay so I was looking through the home page of Youtube and I was able to find the best video ever.

It seriously brought back so many good memories of my childhood and reminded me of all the loveable characters I would watch on TV growing up.

And I was able to name more than 90% of the characters on the video lol!

Your opinion on this vid? Like it or Love it?

(Or kinda pissed because it didnt have enough screentime for Classic Cartoons)

I do think that some of the things were abit "different", though it's not like we haven't seen worse on CN before. I'm glad you've posted this because I saw characters of shows I've completely forgot who looked like! I was thinking about that robot earlier, had an episode where he had a puzzle cube contest against some bully. I loved that show for some reason, maybe the animation of the robot....

Awesome video, recognized 100% characters in the entire thing

Yes... samurai jack, ed ed n eddy, powerpuff girls, courage the cowardly dog, fosters home for imaginary friends, and all the old classics I forgot to mention... they made up my childhood. Its ashame that Cartoon network is a terrible station now. They try way to hard to "be cool" And I cant stand it anymore. Adventure time, regular show, the amazing world of gumball.... are all examples of Cartoon network failures, and there are more.

Whoa, what? Adventure Time is great, and Gumball is... well... it's unique! Won't disagree about Regular Show though. That show got old quick.

But seriously, you don't like Adventure Time? It's like MLP but slightly more mature. >:|

Well, I guess we all can't have the same opinions.

As for the video, it said it would induce nostalgia. I did not feel any nostalgia. I felt more of a "Hey cool that thing" feel. I am disappoint.

I kinda disliked the fact that it was centered more around Adventure Time and Regular Show :\

But pretty good video none the less....

Exactly how I felt :/ They gave little/to no screentime to my favorite cartoons would have been a lot better if it was more focused on the older ones since we never see them

Okay perhaps I should state that I do not in fact HATE that show.. but I do not agree on the fact that it belongs on cartoon network. I have my reasons.

Adventure time has in fact given me laughs, but it isnt something I would want my kid to watch if I had one.

No mention of Teen Titans, TOM from Toonami, I am Weasel, Cow and Chicken, Mike, Lou, and Ogg, Tom and Jerry, Space Ghost, Brak, Billy and Mandy, Evil Con Carne, and there wasn't even a hint of the "Powerhouse" tune in there, which basically is the classic theme for Cartoon Network.

Only two real classics (Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo for like 3 seconds), Adventure Time and Regular Show stealing the show even though they've only been on the air for like 2 years now, terrible art direction to try and make it "modern" and "hip". Holy shit, this was a terrible montage.

The beginning seemed promising. Then they crushed my childhood with a demolition ball.

EDIT: Okay, yeah, there were a few characters from Billy and Mandy and Teen Titans on there, but really, this montage could have been a lot better if they focused more on segments from other shows rather than just have it based around Adventure Time and Regular Show.

THIS is what I call a montage. You guys should watch this instead. Powerhouse Theme, classic CN shows, everything you knew about the good days of CN:

This was one of the greatest things of all time.

Not only did they finally come back to their old self, reflecting on their past by animating their old characters, from Looney Tunes, to Dexter's Laboratory, to Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, to Adventure Time, they crossed all of the shows over in an unimaginably awesome way. And they put everything, literally everything that I remember in there. All the memories, coming back to me. It's hard to believe it's only been 20 years since they started off as a purchase from Hanna-Barbera to air old cartoons they owned like the Flinstones, Scooby-Doo, etc.

It's amazing how over time, this was, and still is the place that defines classic and modern cartoons. MLP is just one show, the Hub isn't really that famous only being 2 years old. As for Nick, I'd say most of their classic factor derives from the live action stuff they had in the 70's, 80's, 90's, and early 00's. CN is full-on, 100% animated cartoons, leave the stuff they have on now. Speaking of which...

It's sad but true, but the good ol' channel is currently in a decline, being shunned by its classic viewers who enjoyed the channel in its prime (like myself), from the 90's, up until around the mid-to-late 00's. The beginning of the 2010's has so far not been a promising era, but regardless of the shows they have on now (Adventure Time is creative, but just okay; Regular Show is too lazy with the animation, but still decent; Gumball was rather entertaining, it's not that bad; and Level Up! is just disgraceful. Kill it with fire; Ben 10 is ruined; Lego Ninjago doesn't seem too bad, but I think CN has been really kissing up to Lego too much recently; MAD is pretty good), a spark of hope has started to flare when watching this.

Hear me out, fellow classic CN fans. This may be a turning point for the beloved channel that we've been waiting for.

Look at this video. All the classic charcaters. Now, tune into the channel and look at the new commerical bumpers they have (bumpers are the short scenes that they show before and after a commercial break, which really sets the mood for a channel, in my opinion). They started crossing over new with old charcaters. Isn't this what we've been waiting for?! Yeah, sure, some like me dearly miss the "Cartoon City" era of bumpers, but this might just be a fine alternative. They're doing the one thing we've wanted them to do, reflect back on their history.

This, the 20th anniversary of the almighty and defining place for everything cartoons, might be where everything goes uphill. Look at Cartoon Planet, a new block they recently started that airs older shows, shows that don't air on Boomerang. I really think they're going somewhere good with this. Let's all hope that from here on, CN will get better and better! Here's to re-runs of old shows, better quality new shows, and a wonderful future for Cartoon Network!

Oh, okie dokes.

The way you stated it at first made me think you were hating on Adventure Time, but I guess I understand now.

Don't really see why you wouldn't want your kids to watch it though. It's not like it's inappropriate or anything. It just has a really subliminal post-apocalyptic theme. COMPLETELY harmless. :P

But seriously, Regular Show is less appropriate than Adventure Time. Heck, they say "piss" in it, which is something you never hear on a CN show. And that's part of the reason why Regular Show is so wrong.

I didn't see any Xiaolin Showdown, it was my favorite show on CN, I loved it more than Animaniacs/Freakazoid...... does CN even own that show? Did it ever even own it? I saw it plenty of times back on 2005 o3o

Animaniacs, Freakazoid, and Xiaolin Showdown were originally Kids WB shows and thus not owned by Turner Broadcasting. That's probably why they weren't featured.

It was a good clip but you can't induce nostalgia by focusing on characters from shows still enjoying their initial run.

I have to go with those who didn't feel much or any nostalgia. Videos like those are like saying "Hey, remember all that great stuff that everybody liked back in the day, and how much everyone lamented its cancellation? Here's something to refresh your memory. Weren't those days great? Yeah? Well, we aren't bringing it back no matter how much you all love it. Deal with it."

It's amazing how over time, this was, and still is the place that defines classic and modern cartoons. MLP is just one show, the Hub isn't really that famous only being 2 years old.

But they do have several good shows. I think given enough time they could become what Cartoon Network used to be.

Because of where I'm living now, having TV isn't very convenient at all. To be honest I haven't really sat down and watched any TV in several years anyway. It became so crude and unimaginative that I gave up on it, and when I hear about new things that I might enjoy on they internet I seek out alternate means of watching them.

Two weeks from now I'll be moving again, and based on many things I've heard regarding Cartoon Network and the Hub I'm definitely going to get the satellite reconnected. Things could be looking up. They brought back Toonami to some extent, so I'm guessing there may be hope they'll bring it back to prime time with the content people once loved and without watering anything down.

Look at Cartoon Planet, a new block they recently started that airs older shows, shows that don't air on Boomerang.

Cartoon Planet is another old programming block that they canceled long ago and only recently revived. I've regained a lot of faith in Cartoon Network.
