writing A random poem

Well, I can't find a thread to post in, so I thought I'd whip up a poem quickly...

Life is like a flower

Gently waiting to bloom

Soon comes glory's hour

But wilting is to be its doom

 

Life is like a blade

It bleeds and torments us

Chaining us until we fade

Years ended harshly thus

 

Love is like a tower

Built slowly and with care

Hope the mortar is not sour

So it can pierce the very air

 

Love is like a trade

You must give a little to get

Sacrifice must be made

But you shall feel rewarded yet

I really like it, the scheme seems easy but the message is quite impressive.

 

How long did it take you to write this and do you have more of these?

I just thought it up off the top of my head. Took only about two minutes.

 

I probably could think up more, but that would be a while.
