Now this is certainly very interesting. I hadn't actually thought of doing that with engie before! I might actually give that a shot, because it looks pretty fun actually! Still say sniper/ spy are the best classes though! There's nothing as satisfying than getting 5 consecutive headshots!

It's funny how just this morning one guy I follow on youtube uploaded a video about the engineer and how it can be one of those high adrenaline classes like the scout for example.

I also follow Jerma, and really that didn't exactly change my opinion on Engineer. While the video was interesting, playing like that did not sound any more so than anything else... and the only thing he did that I never thought of was picking up your sentry when stickybombs come which still requires being next to your sentry all the time.

Pfft. Robotic Boogaloo. I'd rather have Robotic Scootaloo. Typical Valve these days, hype up an update that's only reskins of current hats, and crap like an item that gives everybody on the server a crate drop, which everybody totally asked for. No new maps, or fixes for bugs that have desperately needed fixed for years. Yes, the update's free. Know what else is free? Shit. Being free is no excuse for a hyped-up update to be the opposite of what the game needs if it wants to be taken seriously again. And yes, I know the irony of the one who created the TF2 thread talking shit about the game.

 

Anybody else in the Steam trading card beta thing? I've got tf2 metal and hats and stranges and stuff I'd be willing to trade for cards (any game) if anybody's interested.

What's everypony's least favourite class? Mine would be engie, because it's so frustrating to have a level 3 sentry getting blown up by an electrosapper. Then  you get stabbed in the back by a spy

God, I know of only like 2 people who see through VALVe's bullshit. You can't be in a TF2 game without some sheep-brained F2P yelling at you about how bad your hats are. It should be abundantly clear that VALVe's just sucking the cash out of their players with the new Robotic Boogaloo update, hell, with the Mann co. store alone, but we sadly still have the majority of the players constantly paying exorbitant amounts of cash for decorative items that will be long forgotten about in a few years, and don't give a shit about the game breaking bugs and exploits that valve won't bother to fix even years after they've been discovered.

And yeah, we just do battle medic for giggles. It would probably never become a strategy you depend on, as it's easily countered. A single pyro could easily just right click away to blow the battle medics off, wasting precious time to fill up their ubercharges while being..IMMORTAL GODS!

Well I haven't played TF2 in a month, and I'm a bit scared to pick it up again. I'll probably be terrible. A lot of times I have a lot of performance anxiety about online games, and rarely do I have fun while playing them unless I'm doing well. Even if my team is winning, I'm not happy unless I am personally playing well. I do a lot of checking my K/D ratio to gauge my performance.

You shouldn't worry about your K/D ratio in Tf2.

Just play, and have fun. =)
We can't always be doing our best performance either. Sometimes we're better than we usually are, sometimes we are just horrible excuses for a player.

I do have a friend who says that she has been an expert sniper from the moment she began playing. I wish I had some natural talent that would make the game easier. I've played TF2 a very long time. 44 hours have been spent just on Soldier, and I still don't feel very good.

Should I play competitive? I've clocked 2000 hours on this game and pretty much know all there is to know, but I don't think I have the co-ordination and skill it really takes to play against the skilled players :U

I still remember the Level 3 Mini Sentry bug.

If only they hadn't removed that, I'd be on some server getting constant kills.

Still, it would mean people with the gunslinger would be able to be cheaper than those without, so I guess it returns the balance.

But hats are the coolest! Who doesn't love seeing a guy running around in TF2 wearing a super crazy hat? It really livens up the battlefield!

Only if a player can afford having (read: BUYing) the ubercool hats, while the ones who can't are seen as uncool (and indirectly saying that the non-hatters are poorer than hatted players, in a way).

Eh... the only point of hats is to show who has played the game long enough to find and trade for the rarest hats. People with unusual hats are usually the best players.
