A Service I want to provide, need input to improve it.

Take note: its 3:09 AM when I posted this, If I made any grammer or spelling errors let me know and I will fix them when I wake up.

Before I start, I want people to know that this is a discussion of this service I want to start and ways I can improve or make this service better. a LLC (Also known as a "Limited Liability Company") is being made in my state in Oregon under my Real life name because I want to do something for the fandom . I few people have outright called me a scammer within this fandom BUT I am making it clear I want to make this service my real job, people have donated to help me get this started and I am trying to do this right. Please don't call me a scammer, a few people have said as such while the rest really like the idea and want it to succeed. I will not open up the service UNTIL enough artists like the idea and want to see this happen and the company is finalized and legal if I do such horrible acts then fellow bronies can hunt me down and such (I am serious, If I pull any shit like that then hunt me down! details will be provided so people can disclose and get me.) THEN I will be accepting Payments. If not the service will not start (No Payments will be received) and I will have to figure out another way to make a income with my company.

Now with that cleared and out I will continued with what I want to do.

I want to be able to promote artists that want to be promoted at conventions (for 2013, I am going for brony based conventions) all year. My aim is the 20-ish conventions within North America alone. Which can cost over 28,000 USD alone for a single person to head to each convention within that year. This is why I am making a L.L.C. so I can do a Job I can enjoy and know I can succeed at. I love this fandom and I respect the level it has become.

So far I placed the math together, I did research for bronycon on the alicorn radio youtube channel to explain my numbers. that being 45 to 100 United States Dollar (based on what plan) per artist and about 300 artists to signup to cover all the conventions within North America. Making it easier is sponsors, If enough sponsors want to join in then I can drop the price and refund part of the payments I don't need to make much unless I hire employees (If I hire any employees I must pay for medical coverage which can't be cheap :/ I haven't looked into that yet.).

Now, This is aimed for artists that want more notice. Some well known artists will most likely not take this service because they have the attention they have within the fandom and isn't really my target customer for artists. Its mainly artists outside of the US or Busy that limits them from going to conventions (IE work on weekends, family or no transportation) That want to get Promoted or want to get commissions at conventions (I get the money for them which can occur transfer fees since of paypal OR I can direct them to the artist(I send them a E-mail with contact details the artists allows me to disclose) and the commissioner can pay the artist meaning I don't have to worry about transfer fees and the commissioner handles that.)

IF I get enough Artists on board and want to do this, then I ensure I have all the materials of each artist printed and into binder also requesting any other materials I can use to promote them. as well bring a laptop or desktop with me so I can stay in contact with artists when a commission is made (IE all artists can add me on skype, facebook, etc.) If they are online, If not I will leave them a E-mail and the artist can contact the commissioner with further details of the commission slot and so on. (Some artists do have reduced prices for their work at conventions the same CAN be done if the artist provides it.) Artist will have flexibility on what I can do or not when I promote them. If I make a mistake I will be obligated to refund them fully

NOTE: As I am talking about Artists in general, I also mean it in many forms. I want to promote other forms of artwork like Plushies, Music, Animation and Written. Though it will be much harder to promote some of those types via a binder of pages with info... a projector/speakers might be bought to support those types of work to help those types of Artists as well but only when a large demand... If I don't have these types supported it might be not possible to help these artists and if they already paid just refund them and let them know once all the equipment is possible and its allowed at a convention I am heading too. Reselling work is only allowed with the artist permission (Like if the artist wants me to sell their Plushies at the convention I can do that and bring them with me til they are sold as I will )

NOTE 2: Another thing I was thinking is also have a live stream on when I am at my dealer table at a convention, I would get a premium account so I can remove the member limit, adverts and stream HD quality but that matters if the artists want me to do that. This will allow me to show what I am doing and saying at a convention and if a artist is there watching the stream and can respond when a commissioner is asking a question they can answer it.

Extra: Also, I need to know a few charities, IF this service is a success and making more profit then I want it too... I'd like to know of a few charities that would be a good idea to donate too.

Artists: Since of the Nature of promoting at conventions and professional level I must maintain atleast... I will not promote NFSW material on pages or such, artist must make all material that I have SFW that is displayed but can say on their pay they can or not do NSFW but it can't be displayed.

Research I did for going to bronycon alone

Reddit submission

I know there are ways to reduce my costs and make it much cheaper to head to each convention, that matters how I get to each convention and if there any carpooling bronies in my area that are heading out there. Its unlucky it matters how it turns out..

Anyway, if there is anything I can change to improve this please leave a message. I am now going to bed and hope that anyone will help out.

TL;DR promoting artists can not well known or can't attend conventions can have me promote them or get commissions for them having them pay me or direct them to the artist pages for commissions.

This idea look great I would love to donate but I am only 15 and don't have a job so yeah.

I know this must be a really generic idea and you will probably turn it down but kickstarter 1 because it is free (I think) and 2 there are many Bronys who would donate so this site is big thus making more people see it (see where I am going) So maybe do a kickstarter to get enough money for a few people then try it out. If its a success people will see that it works and well donate.

I would like to help this idea with some art commisions L.L.C. can manage. And also donate if the movement gets big enough. I just have a couple of things to ask:

Would LLC is intended to manage all the relations with the supporter in terms of shipping and payment?

Would you being accepting artist from outside the US?. This not as a way to promote them "on site" but by showing their stuff on the conventions for a start.

Will be looking forward how this develops for support.

well it matters ho I handle physical work like Plushies and traditional work. If I got a stock pre-conventions then I could do it that way... but shipping costs will be an annoyance to figure out. That will have to handled on a artist by artist basis if they ship me a stock of items to sell for them but if they direct commissioners to them, they would have to handle the shipping.

I want to accept artists outside of the US/CANADA, Since they have less of a chance to get to conventions within the US/CANADA. So if you live outside of the USA then that is ok. That is also why I wanted to have a livestream at the dealer table on so artists can watch me... like a hawk...

I will admit that I skimmed through it all, but this doesn't sound too bad. There are tons artists out there that simply don't get noticed, and if there's anything that can be done about I'm all for it.

well I need to spread the word and get more input to improve this is needed. I am still getting the LLC handled and legalized before I can really start anything... but the more people that know it can help me get an idea what I should adjust for this service.

Sounds awesome dude, really hope everything goes as planned. Some of the artists might find it difficult to get to some of the cons that are out of state or country.

yep, I just hope other people like this idea... I just need ideas to improve this service and make it ideal for artists... I need to know that before I open up a list before I accept payments.

I might have to do a kickstarter and see how it goes, but time will tell about that.

I might do shipping support for artists all over the world but I'd go into more research. I will need to get an office up and running for it though and hire 2 people to be there.

I would like to be one of those artists who get their art shown on a Brony convention (probably sold as a Badge, I want to see people wearing them O.o)

JK what are the chances that I'll have some of my artwork shown :P

but it does sound like a good idea that you want to achieve. question is: do you think you are capable of handling all this?

I don't doubt that I can handle this as this would be my only means of lively-hood... also I feel more than confident since there are people trusting me to do the task I said I would do.

also I have nothing else holding me back, so I say LET DO THIS!

@@Danger Wasp, Big Apple Ponycon (Date: 03/23/13), on http://drakeal.com/index.php/conventions-attending-status that I list setup on my site for the company... still need to get the billing system done and stuff.

http://igg.me/p/315073/x/1643925 I placed a fundraiser up for my company to see if its possible to reduce the costs on artists and ensure that attendance will happen.
