SkyeRibbonPwny 406 November 27, 2012 Share November 27, 2012 I love the Rarity idea, but the thing is....I think it would be much more than just giving an ugly pony a makeover. Rare is the type to flip out and just do it without asking as she has done many times to her friends. love the idea, but may have holes. ADORE THE RD IDEA! OMG wonderful. and potential for a Derpy cameo. I would also like a bad weather episode. yes. Rarietty 632 November 27, 2012 Share November 27, 2012 (edited) Rainbow Dash: After finding out that the Daring Do series doesn't have a proper ending (like, the last book published just ended with a cliffhanger) Rainbow sets off with Twilight to find the author and find out the ending. Moral: Sometimes you've got to wait to get what you want. Pinkie: A new pony comes to town (voiced by Weird Al Yankovich) who rivals Pinkie's craziness and outgoing nature. Moral: Sometimes you've got to share the spotlight. Fluttershy: After finding out that a factory is using animals as slaves, she sets off to protest to the factory. Unfortunately, this proves to be a harder task than she thought due to her shyness. Moral: Stand up for what you believe in, and get friends to help. Twilight: Celestia and Luna go on vacation. Twilight becomes official "princess for a day", but finds out that Celestia's job is much tougher than she thought. She still refuses her friends help though as she doesn't want to disappoint Celestia. In the end, she finally gives in and allows her friends to help. She finds out from Celestia that the whole thing was a test, to see if Twilight could manage ruling, and that Twilight passed because, as she says,"even sometimes a princess needs help. Do you really think I do everything myself?" Moral: When given an important task, it's perfectly fine to ask for help. Even the most powerful ponies need teamwork and friendship to get things done. Rarity: Rarity launches a new fashion line, and it becomes highly successful. Elegant Cloth(I can't think of a better name at the moment) who is often seen as Equestria's greatest clothing designer, sees Rarity as a rival, and spreads rumors about her which nearly ruin Rarity's career. Moral: Something about the importance of not spreading rumors. Applejack: The Mane 6 plan a family meet-up so that they can meet each others parents. Applejack spends the entire episode trying to hide why her parents couldn't make it by lying horribly. Moral: When you've grieved about something, you may want to lock your feelings up and not show any pain in front of your friends. Although it may be hard, telling your friends about problems can really help. Edited November 27, 2012 by Rarietty

I'm sure I can think of some I just didn't felt like adding that part so people can add more ideas. Besides I was asking other people to put their six mane specific episode ideas up to begin with. :S Rarietty I think the Twilight episode would be perfect for a possible future "Twilight may become the next heir" concept. TailsIsNotAlone 3,695 November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 (edited) Rainbow Dash: Rainbow hears from her parents for the first time in years when they invite her to a family reunion. Being the black sheep of a fiercely competitive family, Dash refuses to go until her friends offer to come along. We see Cloudsdale in greater detail and get a glimpse of RD's strained relationship with her parents. By the end, Dash's folks come to accept her and her decisions. Moral: you can't escape from your past, but you can be at peace with it.Applejack: When Rarity falls ill the night before a fashion extravaganza in Manehattan and none of the other ponies are available, she pleads with Applejack to go in her place and represent her designs. AJ grudgingly agrees and is surprised by how easily she pulls it off, remembering all the "high society" behavior she learned there as a filly. Before long she is sorely tempted to stay, but in the end she returns to the Acres once again. Moral: be honest not just with others, but with yourself.Twilight Sparkle: Twilight is invited to Canterlot Castle to display her magical progress, and is crushed when Princess Celestia can't make the appointment. She pours her heart out to Luna, who decides to show her a day in the life of Celestia so Twilight will understand her teacher's difficult life better. Twilight is surprised by how much the princess has to deal with every day, and her friendship with Luna deepens as well. Moral: empathy is magic. (And it's time Celestia got some development as a character we can identify with.)Fluttershy: A fire breaks out in Sugarcube Corner, leaving Pinkie Pie without a place to stay for several days. Unwisely, Fluttershy offers to take her in. Pinkie causes chaos in her house and scares the animals, but in the end they bond over their unhappy fillyhoods. We get a glimpse of Fluttershy's family as well. Moral: Do they all need a moral? Sometimes people who seem like total opposites can still have much in common, I guess.Pinkie Pie: She's already had one this season, plus she's in the Fluttershy episode...but oh well. Pinkie loses a bet with Spike and must go without sweets for a whole week. It's about as difficult as you can imagine. Moral: self-control.Rarity (2-parter): Digging in an unexplored area near the Everfree Forest, Rarity and the Diamond Dogs discover a treasure trove of rare jewels that were buried centuries ago in an earth pony/pegasi war. All three races lay claim to the treasure; the gems originally belonged to the earth ponies, were stolen and hidden away by the pegasi, and dug up by a unicorn. Even the gem-hungry dragons get in on the action, and Celestia and Luna's best efforts can't keep age-old tensions from rising again. Terrified that her actions might spark another war in Equestria, Rarity leads the Mane 6, the Dogs and Zecora in a secret plot to take back the treasure and bury it again in the Everfree, where nopony will ever find it. Moral: naturally war and greed are bad, self-denial is good, and if more of us practiced it the world would be a better place. At least that's what I'd get out of it. One question though: Why exactly is Rainbow the black sheep of her family (it seems her skills would more than make up for the occasional extra nap)? Also, maybe have Rarity use her magic to fuse the gems into a mountain top (in a way that prevents dragons from gnawing them out) to create something beautiful that all can enjoy, without actually possessing it? 1 My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain. They think she's off squandering her talents and just goofing around with her friends. And that's a brilliant idea for the Rarity episode, BTW. I didn't think of that. 1 "Human beings fascinate me Being just the way they are..."

Shanks 10,816 November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 Applejack: I like the suggestion about Applejack's parents it reminds me of this episodes of Hey Arnold where Arnold didn't want to go to parents day and his Grandpa had to tell him about what really happened to his parents. I came up with something similar though it is kind of iffy if such as idea would be aired. Granny Smith passes away, and Applejack is in full blown denial, Applebloom is acting out at school and at home and Big Mactintosh is trying to be strong for his family but end up suppressing his feelings. Pinkie Pie: There are some pretty good episodes with her already, but one good one might be that a popular new sweet snack gets released and Pinkie Pie becomes addicted to it that goes on huge sugar rushes and acts even crazier than normal. The moral is moderation. Twilight Sparkle: I would like to see an episode that gives a bit more background information on Twilights family particularly her brother, one thing that really bothers me is how in the beginning of the series Twilight claims to be a loner with no friends in the theme song she even says "I didn't know what friendship could be" yet we fast forward to the Cantelot wedding in season 2 she finds out her brother is getting married is a little upset that he didn't tell her in person and goes into a musical number about him being her "big brother best friend forever" and we later find out he is getting married to Princess Cadence who was her old foalsitter. What bothers me is if they were so important to her why no mention of either of them until the end of season 2? Rainbow Dash: The Wonderbolts are giving tryouts for new recruits and Rainbow Dash meets someone who is better than her in every way and seems almost a shoe in to make it into the Wonderbolts. Rainbow Dash's competitive nature gets the better of her and she resorts to cheating to get that spot. Fluttershy: I love the animal slave factory idea for Fluttershy Rarity: I like the idea of Rarity having a successful fashion but I can just as easily see her stooping to her competitors level and spreading vicious rumors. Stellafera 3,836 November 29, 2012 Share November 29, 2012 (edited) I don't have any concrete and original ideas for Applejack and Pinkie Pie, unfortunately. I thought of a sort of "Applejack's Day Off" (aka Applejack is a workaholic) sort of thing, but it was basically a mashup of A Friend In Deed and Lesson Zero. These are very long, so I put them in spoiler tags. Twilight? Rainbow Dash? : After Read It And Weep, RD is more than a fan of books. She's addicted to them. Twilight, suspicious after Rainbow has a freak out from there being no more Daring Do novels, tries to investigate. There were a few tantilizing tidbits that the rainbow maned pegasus had dropped in conversation, something about her fillyhood, and Twilight attempts to press the answers out of Rainbow. Rainbow Dash gets really annoyed once she becomes wise to this and refuses to talk to Twilight. Almost a week later, she comes back to the library and Twilight, having learned her lesson, simply gives RD a book that she'd love instead of trying to get information out of her. The new book has made Rainbow Dash thoughtful about herself and her past, however, and on her own will, she tells Twilight about it; as a filly she had a hard time with all academia, but especially reading, and was frequently teased for it. Once she found out that she was good at flying, she told herself that she didn't need to be good at school, that being a bookworm was for babies, etc. She maintained this attitude until she read the Daring Do novels, which along with being great stories, brought up her confidence in reading tremendously She was addicted to reading once she found she liked it because it made her feel like she was the smart pony that everyone wanted. Twilight is stunned by this story, as is Rainbow Dash when she realizes she just told her the whole thing. She begs Twilight to not tell a single soul else, and Twilight promises that she will respect her privacy, cross-her-heart-and-hope-to-fly-stick-a-cupcake-in-my-eye style. Moral: It is a pony's choice whether or not to share their past, and you should never try to force that on them. Rarity: (not sure if it isn't just a Rarity-centered rehash of Winter Wrap Up or not though) After what happened last applebucking season, Rarity is eager to help Applejack with her farm work in the fall. Applejack states that they don't need the help this time around, but after Rarity insists, lets her work. Rarity gets tired in no time flat and is visibly panting, but refuses to give up. Applejack drags her offscreen, commenting "Yah know Rarity, sometimes ah think you're the stubborn pony here." Rarity realizes how weak and pathetic she is, and tries out all sorts of sports with the assistance of her friends, being terrible at every single one. She almost gives up hope on athletics completely until she sees an ad in the mail for ballet classes. "Of course!" she says, "Of all the arts ballet is surely one of the most refined, the most magnificent, the most moi!", and eagerly signs up for classes. She comes with high hopes, and finds out that her teacher is her acquaintance Lyra, master of dancing en humain (balancing for an extended period of time on two hooves). Lyra tells Rarity after class that while she picked up the raw technique very quickly, her face looked like she hated dancing. Rarity tries to smile for next few classes but it keeps fading and she still looks like she's not sure she wants to be there when she goes across the floor. Rarity doesn't understand. She's doing the technique perfectly. Why does she still have problems? One day she arrives at the studio late, her mind on sewing. She watches the other dancers move across the floor doing a turn. In and out and in and out, just like needle and thread. She thinks of this metaphor as she tries this move, and is surprised to see her teacher beaming at her. She did the move perfectly and with artistic flair! After this realization, her dancing immediately improves and she is told that she'll get a solo part at the next ballet performance! Rainbow Dash is talking and walking with Applejack, telling her what to expect for the next few weeks weather, when they both notice an advertisement for the next show and see Rarity mentioned on the poster. Applejack begins to say that they should go and see their friend, but Rainbow Dash interrupts with a comment of "Woah, that list of dance numbers looks awesome!". Applejack gives her a look as we transition to the next scene. Rarity does an amazing job at the show, and afterwards is greeted by her friends with a bouquet of flowers. Rainbow Dash goes into suprising detail about the technical merits of her dancing. Now all of her friends give her a strange look, which she throws off. "What? Dancing is great flexibility exercise. Rainbow Dash approved!" While RD does a series of exaggerated push-ups (as if to prove her point), the other 4 tell Rarity that the dance was completely unique and passionate. We fade out to Rarity stretching and straining from a tree limb upside down and using her magic to write the moral, "Dear Princess Celestia, when I first tried to become a more athletic mare, I failed because I was trying to fit everypony else's molds. If you can't find a place to fit in, it is your imperative to take your talents and your abilities together and make your own. Nopony fits in your skin better than you do! Sincerely, Rarity". Just as the ink dries on the paper, she slips from her hold and falls on the ground. With a sheepish laugh, she remarks to Opal, who was contently purring in the branch above her, "Perhaps I shouldn't try to exercise and write at the same time." Fluttershy: Fluttershy is called upon to make a speech against the terrible conditions of animals farmed for their coats at a large convention. Of course, she is absolutely terrified. She tries to write it out, but there's always some sort of fault. At her next trip to the spa with Rarity, she shows her her draft (repeatedly stating how bad it was) and requests input Rarity winces at some of the grammatical errors and offers to help rewrite it. Fluttershy is thankful, believing that Rarity will know exactly how to turn a phrase. Fluttershy gets it back and is confused by some of the language as she recites it to her animals. Going the other way, she asks Applejack for help, but Applejack doesn't quite get it and gives (verbal!) suggestions of snappy lines. It's absolutely filled to the brim with country slang and Fluttershy expresses that that is probably not the right language for the setting. She goes to Twilight and is immobilized by the causal critisim Twilight offers. After noticing the state the shy pegasus is in, she switches to a more gentle tone and rewrites it together with Fluttershy to perfection. Fluttershy is optimistic... until she tries to memorize it. It sends shivers of embarassment down her spine just telling it to herself in the mirror, and does even worse when Angel is the audience. This she vents to Twilight, who seemingly doesn't understand her problem and says that she can recite it to her. "No," quivers Fluttershy, "I'm scared of doing it in front of you." Twilight promises that she will be completely uncritical and doesn't care how many times Fluttershy messes it up when she's practicing. Fluttershy mumbles "nevermind" and bolts out the door to her friend Pinkie Pie, always willing to offer a listening ear. But Pinkie Pie asks a bunch of questions about Fluttershy's topic in her curiosity and freezes her up. Fluttershy desperately attempts to call them to mind in her room as the sun sets but can't seem to remember any of them. She finally goes to bed once exaustion overrides her fear, but her tense back the next morning demonstrates that she is far from feeling okay. She irritates her fellow passengers on the ride to Canterlot with her frantic flurry of notecards and panting. At last she must go on stage. And she completely shuts down and freezes. Ponies start talking. One of her squirells runs up on stage and tries to help. Realizing that everypony is watching her, she starts her speech. "Um, hello, everypony." And she added a bit more, to keep it going. "I, um, heard that you all gathered here for a very important convention." Come on, come on, think of something Fluttershy. "I am too." That didn't sound bad, did it? "Something really important, actually." Her eyes dart madly for ideas. She lifts the squirrel up to eye level. "This, the... the squirrel is a good friend of mine. And I don't think that he's happy that his cousin had his pelt ripped off his muscle to make a coat. The kind that ponies wear, that is." Total silence now. Oh well, at least she'd never get invited to another one of these. "And there's a bunch of soft, downy fur right at your hooves. Well, your bathtub drain." Terrible choice. "And it's just silly that we leave all of that wasted, instead of using it, you know? I've seen some dresses with fur trimming donated by ponies. And... it feels even softer when I didn't have to kill some creature for it. You know?" She couldn't think of anything more. "Um, something to think about, for you guys. T-thank you for listening to me." She was already inching towards the exit, when a suprising noise was heard. The clop clop clop of applauding ponies. It was thunderous. It was overpowering. It might have broken the eardrums of the pegasus. Fluttershy quietly flies off off, still not sure what had happened. It must have just been to be polite. Right? She decides to stay afterwards and see what the other, good speakers did. As she expected, the words slid of their tongues smooth, slick, and sure. Some ponies just have got the talent. After the last orator, a tan earth pony, speaks about agricultural exports, she is prepared to leave and never show her face again. She hears some relieved sighs behind her. "Phew!" "I barely made that one, I was so worried!" "I hope nobody noticed when I stumbled over-" "Hey!", a voice behind her says. She turns around to the voice, a unicorn who would have been called a colt were he a day younger and one of the most confident of the speakers. "Fluttershy, right? How did you get that timing down so perfectly? I mean, you had a bit of a slow start, but after that you were on it! I had to ad lib half of my whole speech!" She figured that she'd better tell him the truth. "I... had to ad lib all of it. I couldn't remember anything. I was so worried. I guess my mouth started running..." "And it worked out. I had much the same experience," a dignified stallion interrupts. "You... you mean... you were worried too?" Fluttershy is absolutely dumbfounded. And everypony voices that they too thought that it was just them. All of them laugh as we cut to the ending moral: "Dear Princess Celestia, when I had to do a big public speech, I thought I was the only pony that had trouble with it. But that wasn't true at all! I learned that whenever you think that the world is staring you down, there's always another person who feels the same way. ~Fluttershy" Edited November 29, 2012 by Stellafera Latest Video: Come On: An Ode To Best Friendship "Says they don't like MMDW or Merriwether Williams: Inb4 Stellafera" - Sugar Cube
