i need advice about a story idea for a possible novel?

In the year 2020 on a barren desert dustbowl planet, Edmund, an extremely perverted angel with a disorder that caused him to be born as a ‘miniature’ was kicked out of heaven by god himself and forced to life on the surface world. As Edmund travels the surface world he meets Grim, a reaper who retired from the rebellion in hell fifteen years ago, they don’t get along at first but after Ed’s persistence wears Grim down, Grim helps a nearby saloon along with Edmund and the two prove to be an unstoppable crime-fighting team.

 

However, there is still racism against Reapers for forming a rebellion in hell against the surface world a hundred years ago, which is slowly decreasing (note why Grim left the rebellion), and humans don’t accept Grim at first. Edmund then stands up for Grim and the two form a special bond, it’s different indeed, but it works, and then they hear about the Intergalactic speedway being built. They buy tickets and travel to Mars which then proves to be invaded by other life forms….

 

The life forms are well endowed and humanlike women (and men are there too but their first encounter is humanlike women) which then distracts Edmund and it annoys Grim. As the train is hijacked by these beautiful beasts, an intergalactic gang that’s a variety of female aliens, Grim and Ed are outmatched and kidnapped by their leader.

 

They are taken to the Martian’s headquarters in which they are locked up and separated. Grim and Ed escape and then beat the Martian queen/overlord, who then says she knows Grim’s father, and her brother is a goody two-shoes who has beckoned with the gods before.

 

Once they get word that toxic plasma is being built on earth that can destroy the plant, both the underworld and the surface world and the heavenly worlds, they decide to inform all three worlds. They kill the queen ruler and then escape mars, go back to earth which is now flooded with earthlings unlike before.

 

Grim and Ed then inform the gods and the underworld, the underworlds don’t seem concerned, and when the gods hear about Grim they are upset. They fight with him and force him to leave, threatening to kill him. Then, when Grim says that he’ll save earth his own way, Ed needs to figure this out as well, God is skeptical of the reaper.

 

Then when Grim enters the underworld again and confronts his father for a fight and nearly dies, Ed comes in and saves him along with the gods, informing that the humans are safe, they removed the plasma and are no longer in any harm.

 

Then Grim is informed that Grim is the son of the grim reaper Excalibur the III and the daemon goddess Helga. Excalibur says that God has no business in the underworld and he agrees, and makes his leave quickly, then, once he leaves Excalibur starts an all-out war between Helga’s fathers, Satan, and then is killed, giving Grim the next Grim Reaper overlord and that break’s Edmund and Grim’s relationship sorta.

 

Several years past and a war is brewing amongst reapers and demons in the underworld, Grim is unable to stop due to losing power and going insane. Edmund confronts Grim again and then eventually they fight Edmund wins as Grim’s insanity weakens him.  

 

Ed informs Grim that heaven does not have a military as they are a peaceful people so they have no reason to fight right now…. he wants to stop, however, that give Grim an idea, to attack heaven, and destroy the three worlds.

 

Horrified, Ed goes to his last resort, Grim’s mother, he isn’t welcomed by the demons at first but they hear him out, and Satan hears the angel out as well. Satan is surprised to hear that an angel wants to go to war with the reapers; god would never agree to it however, the Greeks had a different idea.

 

Poseidon and Zeus god’s brothers, decide to fight as they are more impulsive than him. Then, as they join a rebellion that is against the reapers, god is angered, in which he solemnly puts an end to the war after reasoning with all sides…

 

Grim however isn’t so lucky, somewhere Edmund and Grim still are battling, and then they go all out on each other.

 

Grim, still insane, Edmund, kills Grim. He breaks the friendship that really hadn’t been there in years, and he brings peace to hell and heaven once again. 

 

*I'm thinking of not killing grim in the end and Ed finding another way to fight him and then there be a more happy ending, but I don't want it to have a happy ending, just Grim doesn't die.*

 

*What do you think? I'm also looking for a co writer, I need advice! I need this to get written out!*

At first I was like:


...but that could actually turn into an interesting story, as long as you flush out the characters/worlds to a high degree. You'd need to dump in extra detail, since most of the concepts are rather abstract and vague. (What is hell like? How powerful are angels? What do angels look like? What does the interior/surface of your aforementioned planets look like?)

If you can get a solid, non-contradictory intro to the story that sort of "guides" the reader's thoughts down a general path, that could make for an interesting novel.

I'd like to see how it turns out.
