Rose looked up at Stacy, her beautiful face distorted with the streaks of the tears that had been running thick and fast down it. "How could you have asked me to get up in front of so many ponies?" Rose shuddered. "I couldn't do it. You should have known I couldn't do it. I just couldn't." She tried to get up and leave tearfully, wanting to hide in her room, but was blocked in on both sides, on one by Morningstar and Stacy, on the other by the rest of the ponies sitting in the aisle, most of which were oblivious to what was happening at the end of their row. Rose started using her magic to open and close the petals on the Star Ruby rapidly, as a form of stress relief, but all it did to observers was emphasise how much of a state of panic she was in.

"I know." Stacy said hanging her head again. She looked back up at Rose. "Please, come walk with me, i would feel better if you did." Her voice gave away that she was about to start crying. Though she fought holding them back. "I...i need you Rose." She stoped as she gave a one last try to hold back her tears.

Arcane and Marisa just sat there... what just happened? Doesn't matter, I was gone too long and now this is my consequence. Marisa and Arcane left the room and stood in the hallway where the door to their room was located. "Arcane... it just doesn't feel right, were friends, and really good friends... but I don't think it will work out, even after the date." Arcane smiled and nodded, "That's okay, your smart and all, your pretty, and I know you will find the right special somepony" he said and put a hoof to her cheek. Marisa smiled back and nodded thankfully, "I'm glad you understand, I hope you find the perfect mare one day." "And may I be ever old that day" Both of them laughed and walked down the hallway together, not knowing what to do.

Rose stood there, unsure of whether or not to actually go with Stacy. At least, until she noticed the shamrock Stacy had adorned. Her heart leapt. After taking a few soothing breaths, she said, "Well, alright, I'll go with you. I don't know what you hope to get out of it, but I'll go with you." Her voice was not warm, but neither was it cold. It was merely there. The Star Ruby rippled slightly, as if it felt uncomfortable with the decision, but Rose did not allow herself to agree with it, or at least show that she did. As she squeezed past Morningstar, she flicked him with her wavy, elegant tail and said, "Come talk with me sometime."

 

 

(OOC: I plan on using the Star Rose as symbolism from now on. Watch it carefully to see how Rose really feels. Because Rose may not always be the most honest mare when it comes to revealing her feelings.)

Suddenly, Moonbeam stepped out on the stage, timidly approaching the microphone. She was wearing her very best dress, and her hair was actually brushed. “This is dedicated to a very special somepony,” she announced to the remaining audience, her eyes darting back and forth. She signaled to a group of orchestra members on the side of the stage, and she begun to sing.

And then there suddenly appeared before me

At the end of her song, there was suddenly a large bang and a crash. Everyone was thrusted towards the front of the ship. Moonbeam fell forward off of the stage.

Rose was thrown off of her feet. The ship had lurched dangerously. She fell into Stacy, who was standing farther upship than she. The two tumbled along, and landed in a confused pile. "W-what was that?" Rose asked, attempting to extract herself from under the other mare, sounding even more panicked than before. The Rose seemed to draw back into Rose's carefully tended mane, which had retained its brushed form somehow.

Stacy walked out of the auditorium with Rose right behind her. She then turned to her with a saddened expression. Just then the ship shook knocking her off her feat and sending the two into a heap. When she asked what that was it took stacy a second since she was still tipsy. "What? Oh! Umm i dont know." She looked around and got up to her feet and helped rose up. "Look im sorry for doing that to you. So i wanted to ask you privately, if i already havent ruined my chances. Would you be my special somepony?" She said smileing at her forgeting about the ship. *shes not going to say yes you idiot, you already screwed things over!* she thought in her head.

Star yelped as the whole ship shook, She slipped and fell to the ground.

"GAH." My Wing." She said, Slowly pushing herself back up and looking at her wing which was at an odd angle. "W-What.... What was tha *AH* " She grimaced, Taking a step towards somber which moved her wing.

Rose looked at Stacy, concerned. "Did you go and start drinking again? I really don't think now's the time to be asking that. Even if you hadn't just embarrassed me in front of a roomful of people, the answer would still be 'I don't know!'" Rose was not actually sure that this was the case. "But that crash could have hurt somepony. It was certainly enough to knock us all the way from..." Rose actually does gauge the distance she and Stacy had been thrown. They stood now several yards from where they had been thrown. "Oh my..."

Stacy looked around as if wanting a way out from her question. "Well...just a little. But im not drunk! I swear..." She paused and looked at where Rose was looking. "I think oh dear is right." She said looking over the side railing but she didnt see anything wrong with the ship. But that monster of a shake was bad. "Come on!" She said pushing rose towards the stern of the ship, "We should get to the life boats just in case. I have a bad feeling about this.." Again the ship violently shook knocking the two over again. This time stacy almost went over and she quickly backed away breathing heavily.

Bright Spark was unaware of the time. The ship was rocking around like crazy, that would have to wear off. He put on his best tuxedo an headed for the hall. He hadnt noticed where rose was, so he presumed he was early.

     Firecracker was thrust from his seat and toppled over flat on to another seat in front of him, he then saw Moonbeam, lying there after she fell forwards off the stage after the ship crashed. He galloped towards where she was. "Are you alright!?" he said. He hoped that she wasn't injured.

Stacy was in shock and couldnt move from where she was at. Almost going over board brought back all the stress she had gotten rid of earlier. It all came back at once and she broke out into tears. She had no idea what to do, she couldnt even look to see if rose was ok...

Moonbeam was shocked and couldn't say anything. She just cried, holding onto Firecracker tight. She was in pain and confused about everything going on. She was vaguely aware that they needed to get out of there, but she was couldn't get herself to act. She just wanted to lay there with Firecracker and cry.

 

Meanwhile, below deck, the crew of the ship were desperately trying to stop the large breach in the ship, to no avail. Somehow, there had been an issue with the navigation system, and the ship had hit a large, jagged coral reef, cutting up the bottom of the ship like a hot knife through butter. Water was coming in fast, and there seemed like there was no way to stop it. This ship was going down.

 

Meanwhile, a storm rolled in, tossing the waves to and fro, and raining down upon the innocent vacationers below. The crack of lightning and boom of thunder seemed omnipresent, inflicting fear in the hearts of even the most hardened sailors.

Arcane was planning to sing and play guitar at the open mic, but he didn't know if anybody would really like the song. And then the ship shook, it wasn't like a normal wave they would get every now and then, this was the whole ship shaking and tearing apart. "Whats going on?" "I don't know! The ship seems to be crashing, but what could it be on? I didn't know there were any islands out here, its too warm for an iceberg" Marisa panicked when Arcane said that, what were they going to do? They would stay put and wait for it to stop, they had both fallen to the ground, but weren't injured.

After a few seconds Stacy hathered her wits. It had begin to rain heavily imparing her vision. She looked around to see if she could spot rose. "Rose! Rose!" She cried out. They needed to get off the deck and quick. Stacy got up and looked for rose as the rain beat down on her.

"Star! Are you OK?", Somber asked as he helped Star back to her feet and comfortable. "Dang... These waves are getting worse by the minute... Or, I can't even tell if they're waves anymore... The ship is rocking too much."

 

He held Star close in his arms, careful not to hurt her wing. He was scared of what was about to happen...

As bright Spark was waiting, he felt the ship lurch to one side. struggling back up, he realised that the dinner hall was closed. *that was wierd. why would they close it BEFORE an event?* it was this that made him realise something. they wernt closing early.

he was late.

He galloped along the deck with the cabins, ignoring all the rain and turning. He saw stacy and rose on deck. "what going on?!" he asked

Rose, staggering to her hooves, said, "Stacy, it's not safe out here. We need to get back inside and figure out what's going on!" Rose turned to head back towards the door that would take them inside, and saw Bright Spark. She blinked, surprised to see him, but the effect was ruined by another lurch of the ship, knocking her over the side. Rose screeched, and her magic activated. The stem of the Star Rose lashed out, and coiled around the bar on the side of the ship. Hanging on to the Star Ruby for dear life, Rose looked down, only to see the angry maw of the ocean below her.

Stacy heard spark call out to her and rose. The ship lurched again and she watched in horror as rose went over board. Stacy cried out to her as if it would save her. She rushed to the edge to look for her and found her hangging on a vineof some sort. Stacy quickly grabbed hold of it and attempted to pull her up but had to ask spark for help.

Spark went over to the edge. He wasnt about to let anypony die, and the only way to stop that was to go and help. He Looked over to see rose, using some sort of spell to allow her rose to hang on. He helped pull it until she was within reach, then lent out his hoof.

Rose took her friends hooves, and they pulled her back up onto the deck. She laid there for several moments, panting. When she finally staggered back up, she returned the rose to her hair, and, thanking the pair insistently for saving her life, started to limp back inside. She must have rammed her leg into the side of the ship pretty hard.

Stacy folowed rose back inside shakily. She opened her saddle bag and pulled out a small bottle filled with another one of her mixes. She fummbled with the cap trying to get it open, and eventually she did. She started drinking down the bottle but not to fast. She didnt want to get drunk just enough to take the edge off her panicing. "Why the buck is this happening?" She said her voice still shaking with fear and saoking wet.

"what i wanna know is why there are no weather ponies." bright Spark said, trying to keep his voice heard over the storm "and why wasnt the storm seen? couldnt they have went around it?" this entire ship felt like it was going to fall, *sweet celestia i could go foe some whisky* he thought to himself."

Star grabbed onto the railings of the ship to keep her and Somber stable as the waves crashed into the ship. "WE HAVE *Pant* TO GET BACK INSIDE." She called through the howling wind, Trying to ignore the pain in her wing. "W-What Was That ?" She asked, Taking a quick peak at the ocean below. The water was not only wavy, there was something else... Like it was being pulled into the ship. "Titanic." She muttered, staring down at the ocean with a terrified look.
