Stacy franticly looked around the small boat while holding the rope. *Wheres rose? Where is she? She was just here how could she just dissaper like that? How could she just leave me?* those thoughts kept going through her head until she was on the brink of tears. She looked up at spark and asked him again. "Wheres rose? Where is she?"

Rose thought she heard a spluttering. She poked her head up above the water, then was immediately taken back under by an immense wave. Now spluttering herself, she blinked the saltwater out of her eyes, and saw Morningstar floating on a piece of driftwood. She swam over to him, the pain in her leg now numbed from the cold water. "Are you okay?" She asked, frightened.

A tear ran down is eye."Ge... get on".  Morning star  let go and closed his eyes he then drifted off of the briefcase and fell into the water he didn't know what was going to happen but he saw sapphires face she was happy and she was waiting on him to return to her.

Stacy looked out into the ocean in horror. "Well what buck are you doing? Pull her in!" She yelled at him now a little angry that he just let her do that. Stacy took in a big breath and yelled roses name at the top of her lungs unsure if she could hear her cry. She then listened for a reply but she could only hear the howling wind.

Star dived back down below the waves. She swam deeper than she did before and only found clumps of seaweed and some fish.

She growled in frustration but all that came out was a big bubble. When she ran out of air she swam back up to the surface and took another deep breath, But now her wing was really starting hurt. "I can find him, I can find him." She thought, diving back down below the waves.

"i dont know! shes at the end of this rope somwhere! now are you going to help or will you let her drown even more?" he trew the end of the rope  at her, while holding on himself. H e no longer cared how stacy felt, he wasnt about to let anypony die on this trip at all

Rose watched as Morningstar drifted away into the water. His face seemed so peaceful. "Don't go!" She cried, but it was for naught. She rested there on the suitcase, in shock. She was brought back into reality when the boom of thunder resounded. "Star!" She exclaimed, and looking around, saw Star poking up for air about twenty metres to her left. She swam out and grabbed Star, and tugged on her rope gently, to let the others know to reel them back in.

Stacy wasted no time grabbing the rope even if her judgement was impaired. She pulled on the rope. *I have to bring her back, i cant lose her!* she thought to herself as she continued to pull. Eventually she and Spark were able to get Rose and Star back to the boat. Stacy rushed to them and started pulling them onto the boat.

Marisa woke up when they were about half way to the water, "Oooh... whats going on?" she said and rubbed her head. "Were on a lifeboat, were going to get off this ship before its too late." "Too late?" "Don't you remember? The ship is sinking" "Oh yeah..."

 

The life boat hit the water and headed for the island (?).

Star tried to shake Rose off but to no prevail.

Her and Rose were pulled onto the boat by Stacy and Bright Spark. "I Could Have Saved Him. For All We Know He Could Be RIGHT Underneath Us, WHY DID YOU PULL ME BACK UP." She screamed but then She felt the pain in her wing, Before she was so focused on finding somber she hadn't noticed it but now it felt like somepony was stabbing her in the back with a knife. She collapsed into the bottom of the boat.

Rose was crying. "I'm sorry, Star, I am. I didn't want to lose you too. Morningstar..." She couldn't go on without being reduced to a whimpering ball, and, in a similar motion to the one Star just demonstrated, fell to the ground of the lifeboat as her bad leg gave out beneath her.

After her and Spark pulled thier two friends on board Stacy watched them lay on the deck. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. Stacy began to softly cry to herself. "Why did this have to happen? Why on the night that was supposed to be happy have to turn into THIS!" She said looking at the giant cruise ship as it sank. Life boats were still being deployed and there were a large number of ponies still on the decks. She then turned and looked at rose and took out the shamrock from behind her ear. She gently placed it next to rose. "You deserve better than me Rose. I.....i love you." The last sentence was more for herself than anypony else on the boat. She then trotted up to one of the paddles and began to to take them somewhere. Where ever there was to go.

Bright Spark was observing the scene. star, as her name apparently is, was on the floor of the boat as well as rose. they appeared to all be crying. he himself was too sad to cry this time. It reminded him of his last date, exept that time it was a building and he waant able to help anypony out. saying nothing, he grabbed the ore parralell to stacy, and began to row aswell.

Scamps soon found out what was wrong; the ship was sinking.

 

Her first reactionwas that she picked up Airy, wheelchair and all, and took off flying. Wheelchair included, it wa shard for her to hold, but all she could think about was getting off the ship. She soon carried him to the top deck, where she could see the ship slanting and going down.

 

"We'll be okay," she said nervously to Airy. "We have to."

 

They waited in a long, frantic line for lifeboats. Soon, it was their turn. Scamps flew Airy and his wheelchair in and sat down.

 

And then the ropes snapped. Well, one rope snapped, sending the lifeboat crashing down to the water at an angle. Scamps watched in horror as Airy tumbled out, Scamps only grabbing onto his wheelchair. "NOOO!" she screamed as he fell in.

 

She shoved the wheelchair aside as the lifeboat tumbled back upright, and Scamps thrust her hoives into the water and grabbed onto Airy, pulling him up with all her might. She was able to get his head above water without falling out, and she held him there, afraid of falling out, ruining both of their chances for survival.

 

She froze there, holding o to Airy's hooves and looking into his eyes with her own worried-filled eyes.

 

"I'll never let go, Airy."

During the time they were rowing Stacy looked at the icy water just inches away and thought about killing herself. *Come on stacy, it will be easy. You wanted to know what it was like anyways.* she thought to herself. She looked back at rose and star feeling guilt and sorrow. Stacy had stopped crying at this point. She remembered the time when she tried to kill herself at little hops house. That was only about a month ago. She had gone to the bathroom and smashed the mirror but Hop stopped her before she could do anything with the broken mirror. *Is it really worth it? Yeah....i think so.* she stopped rowing and went to the front of the boat and stood there a second preparing herself for what she was about to do.

Even before Airy actually realised what was going on, Scamps had taken him on her back and flew away. From that point of viev he was able to see that all the other ponies tried to leave the ship using the lifeboats. He felt lucky to have Scamps carrying him - he wasn't sure if he had been able to follow the crowd all by himself.

 

And then too many things happened in too little time.

 

They entered the lifeboat, and just seconds later it crashed down on the water's surface. Not really being able to orient himself and to keep balance, Airy fell off the boat. Once he noticed that, his mouth opened for a cry of help - and was filled with the sea's water right away. In reflex he tried to breath, but his face was surrounded by water that now also entered his lungs. The cold water's temperature additionally slowed down all his moves, so he wasn't even able to swim. He had learnt to swim only using his fore hooves, but right now that didn't help him at all. The last thing he saw before fading out was Scamps' face, and the last thing he heard was her voice.

 

"I'll never let go, Airy."

Rose reached out and gripped Rose's ankle. "Don't do it." She looked at Stacy sadly. "I don't want to lose anypony else. Not again." Why does every good pony to come into her life insist on trying to escape it? Rose couldn't get up and stop her. She hoped with all her might that Stacy wouldn't leave her in this life.

Scamps could barely get Airy out of the water. She tried to flap her wings and pull him out by flying, but both of her wings were busted from the fall. She pulled with all her might, not caring if she fell in with him at this point. She tugged, and then finally, she saw his head pop up.

 

"Airy!" She called, still straining to pull him up. "See if you can use your hoives to push yourself up. You're almost here, and once you are, we'll be safe...and together."

Star lay in the bottom of the life boat, Shaking from the cold, She could barely feel any part of her body yet some how the pain in her wing was stronger than it was before. Her dress was ripped and full of the cold ocean water. She slowly started to fall unconscious.

Just as she was about to jump into the freezing water below she was stopped by Roses voice. She looked at rose as if she really wasnt there. She finally mustered up the power to speak but it was shaky. "Why? Theres no point for me anymore im a useless drunk! I cant do anything right, not even when it comes to you. I did what i did on that stage because i love you. But i cant even have that. I cant get my friend in ponyville back, i cant get a job, i cant even afford to live in my moms house anymore! Im worthless!" She nearly yelled. "I think taking care of star is more important right now." She said nodding in her direction as she passed out.

This was a moment someone would call "perfect". The sun was shining, it was warm, all the flowers around him were in bloom. But the best part was that his very special somepony was lying next to him and that they were all alone. No other pony to interrupt them, to disturb this wonderful moment...

...until Scamps suddenly disappeared without any warning.

 

No... I mustn't lose her... I have to be strong...

Airy's eyes suddenly saw real things again. The first thing he got to see was Scamps' face. Was it still a dream?

No, it was real.

Suddenly he realised in which situation he was again. Even though his viev started fading again, Airy did everything he could to stay awake and pull himself up into the lifeboat. The last little bit of power ran into his for hooves, and soon his chest touched the lifeboat's floor.

He wanted to say something, but his lungs still were filled with water. Realising that he fainted again and saw his life running in pictures in front of his eyes. Was it the end...?

Bright spark was still rowing the boat. he wouldve went to stop stcay if rose hadnt beat him to it. he evntually said "no, there is a point in living. all of that, while some of it may be important, is in the past. youve made friends on this trip. youve got star and rose and me, and all the others youve met. and we couldnt bare to see you die.

Rose's anger peaked. Though she may be immobile from the condition of her leg, she was not going to let Stacy leave. Leaping into action once again, the Star Rose's stem whipped out, caught Stacy around the middle, and dragged her to where she and Rose, who was struggling to sit up, were eye-to-eye. She spoke to the drunken mare, in a voice that was quiet and deadly. "You are not worthless. So you made a few mistakes in your life. So what? So you're going to kill yourself when we need you most? If so, you really are pathetic." Rose was disgusted. Hopefully, her contempt would inspire Stacy to actually do something helpful. Rose dragged herself over to Star,  allowing the thorny stem of the Star Rose to release Stacy, leaving marks where it had bound her. She pulled at her satchel, and groaned. Almost all the herbs within it were soaked in salty water, and ruined. She didn't know what to do to help Star.

Morning star cast one more spell to signify that he was with sapphire. a light came from his horn and shoot into the night sky making two stars one being a sapphire color and the other being a dull color. Meanwhile Morning stars guards were looking for the prince's body.

When rose used her magic to grab her stacy was horrified at the swiftness of the vines. She then eye to eye with rose. She listened to what she had to say. "If so, you really are pathetic." Those words rang in her ear. It hurt, especially coming from rose. When the vines let go she didnt care about the marks on her body. Stacy quickly backed herself into the side of the ship now afraid of rose. She watched her as if she would hurt her even though she knew she wouldnt.
