When Star landed she saw Somber laying on a pile of leaves... Waking  up ? "S-Somber... SOMBER." She ran over and sat down next to him. "Hey, How are you feeling... Try to stay relaxed... You have been through quite a bit." She said, gently kissing him on the forehead. "I'm so happy you're awake."

Rose had indeed been surprised by the kiss, but she didn't take the time to dwell upon the butterflies it caused. Spark looked no more likely to submit than before. And Stacy's presence wasn't helping matters. She had been very touched how Stacy had leaped to her defence... Maybe Rose hadn't made the wrong choice after all... But her presence wasn't really helping her case. She closed her eyes and started to shudder. From the trees standing on top of the plateau whisked branches, thick branches, which wrapped around Spark's legs and dragged him forcibly away from the ledge, and prevented him from moving back towards it. It had been quite a bit more difficult for Rose to manipulate the trees than it had for her to use the Star Rose, as was evident by her gasp and panting after using the magic, but at least the tree branches wouldn't leave thorny scars. She made her way slowly over to Spark, now bound in thick tree branches, and said, in a voice that spoke tiredness, "Now, now, no more namecalling. Let's talk about this like civil ponies."

Now Somber could feel Star next to him. He sighed, still in the raspy whisper.

 

"Star... What... Happened? I thought... I went to the light.... And now, I'm here... All I remember was just... Jumping in front of that rock... And saving you... What had happened after that? And right now?"

Stacy was offended by what spark said and was about to yell at him until rose used her magic to keep him from doing anything. She watched as the trees wrapped around his legs. It made her want to laugh but kept herself from doing so. Stacy began to limp again as she went up to Spark. "Im sorry Spark if i made your life worse, but i dont want you to kill yourself and neither dose anypony else. You dont know whats its like trying to." Stacy paused remembering the numerous times she had tried to kill herself back in ponyville. "Its not worth it. If you really feel like you have to then im just going to leave. I dont need to see anymore dead ponies today." Her expression was sad but understanding as she knew how Spark felt right now, and Honestly couldnt blame him.

Bright Spark started struggling. Or more, he wanted theese branches to loosen. Then he came with an idea. He used a spell, turning his horn into a soldering iron, which he continued to use to burn the branches. "i am a colt of science. and last time i checked, trees dont like fire.

Rose couldn't believe it, what Spark was doing. The forest was screaming at her! Rose very simply walked up, and slapped the colt, right in the face, with all her might. "Don't make me try harder, Spark. This," she gestured at the branches, "is nothing. Stop struggling, and stop burning my trees. Or you'll regret it." The Star Rose had puffed up it petals threateningly. It looked as infuriated as a flower possibly could be.

"then let me go. Go on. Just hang me over the edge and drop me. I'm not afraid and if your as strong willed as i believe you can be then you will just continue with your life." he increased the powerof the magic. "or i could just, you know, continue to burn my way out."

Stacy was horrified at what she was hearing. Did he really want to die that much? She looked at rose to see if she would do it, she prayed she wouldnt do it. "Dammit just let him go!" She yelled at rose and immediately took a step back at what she had said. "Im sorry i didnt mean to say it like that..." She looked from spark to rose and then back with panicked eyes.

He turned to stacy, and gave a look that almost looked like he had lost hope in her, before continuing his little talk.

"yeah just- just drop me off the ledge right now and... and- and end it for me. It cant be that hard for you, and i will try if you dont either way."

"Hold it!~" said Firecracker putting a spell that temporally disabled his horn and using the spell that Spark used to keep Somber from running away from him. "Aren't you getting a bit carried away? Suicide isn't going to make everyone's life better. Also, I don't really think your late parents or anyone else that loves you don't really want you to do that..."
 
(OOC: When is Somber going to get up with Spark? Also, I wish MecMem's computer would get fixed faster... Also, is darklord just coming up with an excuse so he could back out of this RP? Also, I hope what Firecracker did wasn't too overpowered... or else I'll change it.)

"Somber, Try to stay relaxed. After you jumped in the way of the boulder... You fell unconscious... And I kinda fainted, I dreamed about you and when I woke up... Bright Spark was trying to kill himself, Rose and the others and taking care of that... He is acting rather selfish." Star said, glancing up at the cliff.

(OOC: even if it was an excuse, i cant just dissapear. so this would be how i would go anyway.)

"you dont know this do you? my parents DIED when i was a foal. i spent 16 years of my life in an orphanage with no friends. when i go back, i will have nopony. And thats how its been for years." he stared at the ground "go on. just end it off."

"Yeah... I can hear him all the way... From down here...", Somber struggled to say.

 

"Star... How exactly... Will I get out of here? My limbs... and wings.... and back... Everything... is a total blast of pain... It even hurts to just speak. I can't... Stay here for much longer... Help me... Star... Help..."

[Marathon 562]

Stacy began to cry. She didnt know what to do at this point. She didnt want Spark to die. "Why do you have to Spark? Do you think its really worth it? Well its not! We care about you, isnt that enough?" Stacy couldnt say anymore. She was tired of everything that was happening.

"Hey, I know your parents died, That's why I said late... you said it twice in a row." Firecracker explained to Spark. "And I'd wouldn't have to be here If I didn't know that." he also said to him. "And besides, you went inside that waterfall cave to attempt to get the zebra out of the way. They know you tried to save them, and I am pretty sure they felt good for you." he finally said to him in one breath. "Man, this guy is more stubborn then Somber..." Firecracker thought.

"yes i know you heard,but the thing is i was never adopted either. I am an orphan and i always have been. That would be fin eif i had somepony during that time of lonliness. But i didnt, and there that and all this that just makes me cross the line. and i know you care. but just give me this."

Stacy shook her head, tears still flowing. "No, no, please just dont do it. Im begging you dont do it. Its not worth it. Its not worth it, think about how youre going to leave us feeling. Theres to much going on and i cant handle letting somepony kill them self. Just please, for tonight. If you cant do it for me, then do it for Rose or Star, Somber. Just dont..." Stacy was at her breaking point and she could tell. *Dammit spark i still need you! Youre the only one who is able to send letters.* she thought to herself unable to speak anymore.

Bright Spark simply sighed. "look. I know how you will feel. But i want to do this so if you dont mind you can return to help somber and allow me to make the final desicion alone. and thats not a request." he wriggled out of the branches, and returned his way to the edge.

"I dont know Somber... But we will find a way. I had a dream about you... We were in... Well I dont know where we were but you were talking about some light and I couldn't see it... I got scared." She said, a few tears rolling down her cheeks and onto the ground. "Promise me you wont leave me...Please."

Rose looked at Stacy, who was sobbing uncontrollably, and at Firecracker, who just seemed confused. The look on her face clearly asked, 'Should I pull him back again?' Rose knew how she could keep Spark from wriggling away again. She had a plan this time; he would not escape her again. But she didn't know if she should interfere. She didn't know how she felt about any of this. She just knew she wouldn't let him jump if she could help it.

 

(OOC: Rose did not actually ask this out loud, but the look on her face makes her silent question clear.)

(OOC: Brother's concert went well. I'm back now, obviously.)

     "Okay, just don't jump without letting us know..." Firecracker said to Spark. "You know, If I was in that orphanage years ago with you, I could of been your best friend... just saying..." 
 
     Moonbeam had heard from Firecracker that Spark was going to jump, she was really worried, So she decided to check up on him. "Hey, Spark, are you okay?" she said to him.

"Promise...", Somber replied. Even though he was getting more and more pain, he moved over to Star and hugged her, then looking up at the cliff, hearing more of Spark's rant. He was tired of it.

 

"Star... If it's not pushing it, could you... Take me up to the cliff? It's time Spark had heard another side.... Another story..."

[Miss Light Diamond 2,802]

(OOC: I am just going to assume Somber doesn't mind and just wants to get to the cliff.)

 

"That... That wont hurt you, will it ?" She asked, Trotting up to Somber and getting ready to fly to the top of the cliff.

When Somber said it was ok, Star spread her wings and flew to the top, Ignoring the small pain in her wing.

Stacy was tired of this. She went to rose and shook her head with teary eyes. "Lets just go he not going to listen." She said hugging rose tightly. "I dont know if i can handle any more of this...i..." She didnt finish as her words broke down into more sobs. All the things happening were tearing her apart, she didnt know how much more she could handle.

Once both of them got to the top, Somber got off of Star, but leaned on her so he wouldn't fall over.<br/>

"Spark... Don't, OK? Just don't. I've had the worse life out of us here, OK? I never knew my parents, I had to fend for myself. I fell out of Cloudsdale and into the ocean, and I couldn't get back there because I wasn't experienced enough with my wings. As of now, I have had <strong class='bbc'>4 </strong>near-death experiences. And you still see me happy and carefree. You have a lot to live up for, OK? Forget your past, and don't jump. You have friends here that care about you. Just imagine if you were in MY hooves. If you were in that coma, would you want ponies to help you and support you to get better?"<br/>

He was now stumbling a bit over to Spark, in his face. <br/>

"I don't care if you had the shittiest past ever. I don't care of you moan and bitch and complain about how your life sucks. What I do care about is that if you jump right now, not only will you lose your life, we all will lose something inside us. A dear friend. So, your call. Save yourself, or hope that you can cheat death."<br/>

Somber stumbled back to Star, breathing heavily. "I've... Made my point...."
