visual art Disney Art

Since I tend to draw quite a bit, I won't post ALL of my non-pony art here, but I really wanted to share this particular piece that I did, due to the sheer fact of how proud of it I am. I worked very hard on this picture, and in my opinion it's my best piece yet.

Any lovers of Disney here would recognize this as a scene from the iconic Disney movie Pinocchio, where Pinocchio meets Honest John, who convinces him to abandon his schooling for life as an actor. This was completely hand painted by me in Photoshop, and took roughly 5+ hours to complete.

Enjoy!

Although the fox looks... rather pedophile-ish.

You silly lady.

XDD Pffttt. Well Honest John was a VERY dastardly, and sleazy villain. So...I guess I'll take that as a compliment LOL

That is some amazing work :D

Thanks so much LRP! <3

It looks like he is saying,

"Come sit on my lap... I won't bite..."

Are you magic too?

This is really good, how much time did that take to finish, because I can imagine quite a lot.

Oh if only I truly was magic. But like I said, around 5+ hours (READ BELOW)

If I may ask, how long have you been arting for since you can do something this beautiful in 5 hours?

Responding partially to both Tich AND Lamii here- I will say I started the sketch and finished this picture on two seperate days. I think it took at least an hour and a half or so of sketching, resketching, metaphorically balling it up and starting all over again before I ACTUALLY began painting.

And when I did I worked on and off, getting up to do other things, rest, and then art some more. So it might really have taken 10+ hours XD I'm prolly guesstimating very badly here. And before I forget Lamii, I've been arting for a long long time. Ever since I was a wee thing- and I think I've been 'seriously' working with art for at least four years, since I've been a part of Deviantart for that long. That's when I really started to work hard with my artwork and take it seriously.

But gosh guys, thank you SO much. The feedback on this is astounding. I just put this up and when I refreshed the page I had 7 new notifications.

Love~

ALSO:

To show you guys what I meant by how many times I actually redid this image before painting began, have a look at one of the concepts I scrapped-

AND Lamii here

Sorry but you didn't answer my question.

What I meant is, for how many years/months have you been arting to be able to do something like that?

Fuck my reading skills.

:3 But to be more indepth, for quite a long time. Ever since I was little really. While I was in 6th-7th grade I took art lessons, but I was only studying still life and animals and things- not particularly the cartoons I've come to know and love. But I've seriously been drawing for 4-5 years now. I am now 17, a Junior in highschool. What it really comes down to is practice, practice, practice. I draw a LOT, and that's helped me to improve and get to where I am today.

Little boys seem to be his preference O.o

I've been looking for a good 5 minutes for some constructive criticism and the only thing that I can think of is that the stone bricks seem to be arching backward... Other than that... damn, you're good.
