Blind bags

Hey everypony, it's payday for me very soon and I was hoping to get a little more information about the whole blind bag thing. Mostly where to get them, which wave they're currently on and how to find and get the ones I've missed? 

 

I feel like I'm asking a bit too much.   I wish I would've found out about them sooner.

Hot Topic, K-Marts towards the checkout counter, Walmart I think in the dreaded pink aisle...

Personally, you are better off with the collector 3 packs that are mainly sold at Toys R Us. It depends on what characters you desire. More often than not, you get ponies that aren't even in the show. <_<  So, that is why the 3 packs are best, because they are the exact same thing in the same series but you know exactly what you're getting.

 

I am starting to dabble in the trading cards, which seem to me much more fun and collectible.

 

In terms of actual plastic figurines, the 2011 run of MLP at McDonald's is great and the stuff Funko is making is ideal, though it will take them awhile to pump out all of the mane six. I'm willing to wait. :3

You can get Blind bags in just about anywhere though I personally recommend you get them from somewhere like Wal-Mart or some store like that

 

You CAN get them at either Hot Topic or FYE though they cost a little more there

I got my first two at toys r us today that place was freakin crazy.  shouldn't have gone there! but I really wanted two!   I think they come in waves?  I forget now.  I would also recommend three packs.  a lot of ponies aren't even in the show  and then if you're looking for a specific one you have to have patience to stand there and look through a little hole in the bag in order to find out which one you got.

My area lately has been stuck on the Crystal wave of ponies. However I was lucky for a short time in that my target had the first wave and second wave.  The link Rainbow cupcake posted is what I used to figure out what was in the bags. You can buy them all on toywiz , although sometimes more expensive. 

I would say for waves that have come and gone to your area , probably the cheapest way to get them is to wait until someone sells the whole wave as one lot . You can than usually get the ponies for like 3-5$ a piece ,instead of like 7$+ for one figure(also it's easier). Right now it seems like the purple travel bag ones are really expensive individually. That is if you're trying to collect 'em all like me. The wave 2 listed on that website seems like those figures are much more rare and expensive....
