The Anti-Mane Six?

I suppose this would be a possible episode, and I'd like to see it. Granted, not a very original idea, but... Hey, nonetheless, It would be nice to see it.

 

I was thinking the time Discord turned the Mane 6 gray becoming their own characters would be the idea of the episode. But as the others said, the opposite/rival of one of the characters can work too.

I've often thought about this. I think the smaller enemies such as Flim and Flam and Iron Will would be included in that group. I could just imagine the minor antagonists being part of the ant-6

 

 

Iron Will probably isn't much on an enemy since he really has nothing against Fluttershy or anything. He just wanted some profit for his program. In the end, he was fine with Fluttershy refusing to pay.

First of all i'd like to say the opposite of magic is NOT power. It is instead loneliness as since magic is friendship that opposite is loneliness as you push other people away from you so your completely isolated from other people.

 

Chrysalis = Element of Dishonesty or Deception

 

Spike = Element of Greed

 

Gilda = Element of Cruelty

 

Lightning Dust = Element of Betrayal (But I feel It would be cooler if this went to Scootaloo)

 

The Great and Powerful Trixie = Element of Loneliness

 

Diamond Tiara = Element of Spite

 

 

Other than just making exact clones of the mane 6 just evil I think this list works fine.

There's kind of a problem with an "anti" Mane Six in that they wouldn't be terribly cohesive. I mean, would you trust someone who's the embodiment of Treachery to have your back? Would you leave your stuff out and expect it to be okay with Cruelty and Greed around? Could you believe anything Despair and Deception have to say? You may as well backstab your team before they backstab you.

Have you ever played Marvel Ultimate Alliance? Same thing; Loki the god of lies is part of this huge alliance of super-villains and they all trust him. If people are willing to trust Dr. Doom and the Lie-smith, they'll trust anybody, as long as they can at least maintain the illusion of being on the same side.

Well, I think, instead of useing chariters already made for one purpose, they'll make new ones. A new set of chariters, all just like the mane six, but uses their streghths and weaknesses for evil. Maybe them from a parallel universe? Or maybe, just regular ponys, but, you know, evil. This could be interesting

That would make a good season finale somewhere down the line. One thing I noticed about Lightning Dust right away was how similar she was to Dash. She talks like her, acts like her, sounds like her. Heck she's even got a name liker her's!

 

Just from what I can think of right away for the others:

 

AJ: Perhaps an aristocratic mare? Coming from a large clan (possibly Scottish or Irish based.) It would make a nice dynamic of both being proud of their families. But said foil being out of elitism, rather than genuine familial love.

 

Rarity: A fellow clothes designer, but the difference being in appeal. Whereas Rarity tailors her designs an individual or occasions specifics, this mare would be about false beauty.

 

Pinkie Pie: DRUG ADDICT! Nah I kid. But somepony who similarly "makes others happy" but through methods that are hurtful. Perhaps somepony who owns a theme park with dangerous rides, grants "wishes" by doing favors with destructive consequences that she's fully aware of, or similarly hurting ponies through something seemingly benign.

 

Fluttershy: COCK FIGHTING! Sorry again, I couldn't help it. But somepony who does indeed care for animals, but at the (often violent) expense of ponies. To contrast the two, where Fluttershy was still considerate of Gilda's personal space when escorting the family of ducks, this character would've (satisfyingly) beaten the tar out of Gilda for getting in their way!

For the Anti Mane 6, here is what we need.

 

A pony that never passed the third grade.

 

A gothic pony that hates happiness and laughter, and hangs out with rocks.

 

A pony that sucks at every sport imaginable, and would rather play video games than have a social life.

 

A pony that is very lazy and has sarcasm in most of her vocabulary.

 

A pony that lives in a cardboard box with construction paper for windows, and drinks hot water because she is too poor to afford coffee.

 

A pony that always has premeditated murder on her mind, and will end up in a straight jacket. Give her time.

It does sound interesting, have enemies for each of the main six. And it could open up a ton of new things, but I'm wondering who would go against Applejack. I really can't think of a villain for Applejack at all.

Anti-Mane 6? Have any of you happened to have read the fanfic 'Discordant?' It's similar, in a way. It involves the 'elements of disharmony' and things like that.

Yes, you make a valid point. However, somepony (maybe Discord) could corrupt others, and make them quite evil. For example, said villain could make Luna see that she really isn't an equal with Celestia, and that it would be better for everypony if she turned evil.

I supposed this would be possible. But I'd be very surprised if the showrunners did this, as it'd have a definite impact on the status quo (supposing that the Anti 6 would be a non-one-shot villain).

If the Anti-Six was used more than once, the option that I suggest would need to both work with the story, and be acceptable. So, it's probably not a viable option, though the flaws you pointed out. Another things that would work well, in my opinion, is that the villain corrupts Spike by reminding him that dragons live much longer than ponies, and that he's eventually going to grow up and lose control. (See 'Secret of my Excess') I would highly doubt they use this, however, because Spike is pretty much the 7th main character.

Anti-Mane6. I'd say the discorded versions of the ponies fit the bill.

If Discord and Chrysalis returns, I'd love to see them team up and have the real mane 6 fight discorded clones of themselves.

 

I just stick with the background six. You know the whole Octavia, Vinyl, Lyra. Bon Bon, Derpy and the Doctor. But I must admit I have never considered an anti-mane six. Sounds a bit interesting.
