In all complete honesty I personnaly don't like pets. It's cool if you guys want to have a dog or something, but I don't see myself taking care of another animal that isn't a human.

 

But I guess if I was forced to choose, I'd go with a Tortoise.

Nothing wrong with that . At least you know that it's a responsibility that you don't want or need. Some people think it's going to be all fun and games or get it for their kids to "teach them to be responsible" and then decide later that it's too much work *cough, Farah from Teen Mom*. Then they abandon their animals, dump them, kill them or just stop taking care of them. It would be better if they were like you and realized it's an animal and a responsibility. Sadly enough people do this a lot with their kids too

Personally I'd rather take care of an animal than a human (I do nooooooooot want any sort of baby; I like them just not for me). Much cheaper .
