Umbra sat down, smiling at her. "How about I tell you a little about me. All my life I've been moving between Britannia and Equestria because of my job in the Royal Air Force. Recently however, I got my wing broken in-flight and they struck me off, I've been looking for a new job for a while though I was compensate quite a bit for it" He laughs "But, enough of me. How about you, beautiful Mare?" He smiles.

Hop listened intently to Umbra as she walked around him, getting a good look at evey angle. When he asked about her she didnt know where to start. "Oh, well, i am Ponyvilles number one therapist. I started at a young age and found it to be my calling. Im usualy not this talkative. Most of the time im a 'mute' but today seems to be diferent." She said as she sat down in front of Umbra. "You know youre a lot more attractive when youre like this although the whole being shy thing was pretty cute." Hop looked into Umbras blue eyes and leaned in towards him.

Lance was still in the ground, as he heard the voice of somepony. O EM GEE I AM LISTENING TO VOICES FROM BEYOND THE DEAD.

He looked at the mare's reptillic eyes, and got on his hooves.

 

"I... I am more than ok... I am... Ouch... I am fine, I guess." He said, still with a little peak of pain after he got up. He got stable once again, and could now talk perfectly.

 

"Well, my name is Lance. Romulus Lance Romance. I say, I am pleased to meet thee. What is your name?" He said with a slight touch of Canterlot charm.

He then brushed his mane with his hooves, trying to get it as it was before.

"I'm happy you're ok. My name is ArrowLeaf. That Stallion over there is Draco and I believe Eve is at the pond a little ways into the garden." She shook his hoof and smiled. "So how long have you known Eve ?" She asked, finishing the last few sips of punch in her glass.

"I...I um. Im doing very well thank you." Arrow said, Noticing the way he was looking at her.

"I showed up covered in dirt...I was gardening before a garden party." She giggled. "Anyway...I was just about to check out Evergreen's labyrinth...She has told me quite a bit about it and I still haven't seen it, It was nice chatting with you though...I hope to see you around the party." She smiled.

He started to notice himself, "This isn't the body I was born with, Everything's shiny..." he said surprised. His orange coat was shiny as, well, a shiny orange fruit, he also noticed his hair, which was all shiny too. Even if it is black, He seemed much more refreshed and maybe nice looking than before.

Percussive was so lost in the music, that he didn't even notice that most of the new partygoers were not even with him.

 

"Huh? Wha... Where did everyone go? Great... I'm alone... Again. Wonder what happened to them?"

 

He gets up to go investigate, seeing that everyone is at some pond or pool..

Umbra smiled kindly, leaning in as if magnetically pulled towards her. "Mute huh? Why would you want to spare anyone the chance of hearing your voice. Well, I'l try to be confident, just for you, starting with this" he leant right in and kissed her on the lips.

Lance died from the inside, but kept it for himself. Ruined everything. AGAIN! This was not the first time that his observations were taken misunderstanded. He just likes to apreciate life as it is, but fails as so.

"I am sorry if I made you unconfortable... Well, I enjoyed having you around." He said.

 

"Why. Do. I. Have. To. Be. So. Stupid!? Why do I always ruin the moment?I've tried and failed. Let there be no doubt, truth prevailed. I am not loving material, and I don't think I will be..." He tought*, and right after it, he sighed.

 

Well, nothing worked. He went to a party and already started to destroy other ponies's fun. That is what Lance does, apparently.

"What do you mean uncomfortable ? You didn't make me uncomfortable." Arrow said. 

"I will be sure to track you down sometime during the party again...You seem like an interesting colt and I would love to chat again." She smiled at him, then trotted back over to Draco.

Umbra blushed again "It's o.k. I just thought that'd be a good idea" he looked around and noticed the dance floor, some nice music, more his speed was playing "Tell you what, how about I take this dance and we'll see how things go from there, that a good plan?" he smiled.

Umbra sat down with a little laugh. He stretched out, awaiting a decision "That was just a thought, to help us warm up to each other but I don't mind. Anything you want to do I'll give a try. Or if you want to go take a breath I don't mind either" he said, though his eyes shook a little on the last suggestion.

Hop let out a sigh of relief. "Well i hear that Eve has a pool with some live fish if you want to take a dip?" She asked happy to see that he was willing to do what she wanted. He was turning out really great..maybe she shouldnt have ended that kiss. She was tempted to try and kiss him again but refrained from doing so.

Umbra whistled "Live fish? I am so in! You coming then?" he said, standing and walking towards the pool excitedly,  he kept looking back at her, blushing as he tripped every time, in fact he was so busy looking at her that when he finally reached the pool he fell straight in comically.

Little hop nodded as she followed Umbra to the pool. She then realized he was about to fall in. "Umbra, youre about to...." Right then he fell in and Hop couldnt help but laugh. She rushed over to see if he was alright. Still giggling she asked, "Umbra, are you alright?"

Percussive was on his way to the pool before seeing another pony falling in. He walked over to the edge, and noticed a ton of new ponies, including Eve.

 

"Uh, you OK there? You just fell in there like it wasn't there...", Percussive asked the fallen pony. He looked to the water.

Little hop nodded as she followed Umbra to the pool. She then realized he was about to fall in. "Umbra, youre about to...." Right then he fell in and Hop couldnt help but laugh. She rushed over to see if he was alright. Still giggling she asked, "Umbra, are you alright?"

 

 

 

 

Umbra coughed out a goldfish "Pools open, water's fine. Yeah I'm okay" he laughed, giving her a big splash. His eyes widened a little, boy did she look hot with a wet mane. "You going to come on in? you're all wet already" he giggled, swimming away, the fish nibbling at his back.

Hop yelped in surprise when Umbra splashed her. She pushed her wet mane out of her face and laughed. "Yeah im getting." She said as she jumped into the pool. The water felt nice as she sped through the water like...a fish of some sort. She came up for air and laid on her back, extending her wings so she could float. She giggled as she felt the small fish nibble on her back and wings.

Umbra doggy paddled around her in circles "I think they're those special kinds of fish or they just like us. I mean who couldn't like you?" He held an overwhelming desire to kiss her again well hidden, he didn't want to upset her again.

This was perfect. Floating in the pool with fish nibbling at you and Umbra swimming in circles around Hop, giggling like a filly at sugarcube corner. "Well...thats a good question Umbra. I dont know anyone who dislikes me." With that she folded her wings and slowly descended into the pool. She could feel the pressure change as she went deeper. After a few seconds she jetted forward with flap of her wings. She could feel the fish swimming next to her as one occasionally brushed up against her coat. Again she came up for air right in front of Umbra, she smiled at him with delight as she was having a great time.

Eve was throwing a great party and Umbra...Umbra was only making it better.

Eve smiled. "Yep, that's the wonder of the Amblezonian Flying Fish." He looked even better now, that shiny, black mane flowing behind him... But she was surprised. It seemed he hadn't noticed her improved appearance yet...

 

She squealed softly as more ponies jumped into the pool and splashed her. She turned to look, half annoyed, half amused.

Hop noticed a Umbra began to lean in closer. Her heart began to race and her breath a little shaky. But then he pulled away...Hop was dissapointed but hid it. She smiled at him, "i am...you seem to be as well. Porbably not as much as you would like..." She said refering to him almost kissing her, "But none the less, i am." Her voice was kind and cheerful. Eve was throwing a great party and Umbra...Umbra was only making it better.

He put a hoof unconsciously on her cheek, looking into her eyes. "Au contraire, ma cherie. I'm enjoying this as much as I possibly could be. I just can't believe I met such a beautiful mare and that she likes me. When does that happen for a guy like me?" The first four words said in perfect french. He caught her eyes again and all of his willpower melted. His ears flopped down a little as he kissed her gently on the lips.
