for those who dont know, kirby airride is a game where youre on a ride, where you can race other kirbys and race around in the city, too.for people who do know, ive got questions for you.

This was a great game to play back in the day. I loved building up the Legendary Machines, like the Phoenix or whatever it was called. Pretty simple racing game considering you only used the control stick and A-button.

I frickin love that game!!!! It's so underrated!!!

 

My favorite vehicle is that triangular one, I forget what it's called. I used to hate it but then I figured out how to use it and I'm really good with it now.

looking at this topic, i remember a time when i was playing kirby airride with my brother, and my brother was on the rail and right when he reached the rail station, the event happened where the stations catch on fire, and ma brothers ride blew up. talk about bad luck and timing!

I loved that game! I usually played the City Trial, but occasionally I played the other modes too. I love the compact star (although it's standard issue). It may not win all the time, but it looks the best imo. Another star I like is the crystal one, where you can't turn with the stick. It works really well if you have the right stats on it.

 

I also preferred Dragoon over Hydra. Speaking of those two, besides the city events, when me and my brothers played this, it was always a race to get the pieces.

I too loved Kirby's Air Ride and City trial was by far the best mode on the game. I don't even know why someone won't make a game similar to this but with online multiplayer. I can guarantee you it would be a good seller because tbe concept is just so interesting to me.

 

 

Ok so my favorite machine is the winged star because if you can get enough speed and hp and glide power ups for it your unbratble when it comes to anything flying related. Even races are good for it too. The legendary vehicles were all fine and dandy to but I really like the souped up warped star (Kirbys star but orange). My favorite event is the U.F.O event because it's just a stash of items the CPU will never attempt to get an it has a +1 for all stats in the center.

What, no love for the winged warp star? I am disappoint. Well, not really since it was only available in free ride mode in City Trial. I went with wing star as it was pretty awesome with flying despite its pretty poor beginning HP.

 

I had so much fun with this game back in the day. My friends and I would just go into city trial and just explore the entire map while destroying each other's machines. We played that mode for hours on end, time just seemed to fly by. Funny considering the game is meant to be a racer and we were just playing around with probably what the developers thought to be a side game like the top racer.

 

For the life of me though, I could never figure out the appeal of the slick star and the bulk star. The bulk star didnt hold its charge long enough to be useful and I could never get the slick star's controls. The swerve star was pretty awesome as well, at least that I could control.

I had so much fun with this game. The swerve star was my fav, while  the Dragoon was my fav super star. All the events were really fun, but I have to say Supercharged was the best.
