Flame Laughed. "The spikes I will avoid...But i'm afraid I cant really skip the fire." He said, Sipping his drink.

"But don't worry, I have been fire breathing and fire spinning since I was six...I know what i'm doing. Would you like another drink ?" He asked. "You and Tag can help yourselves...Whats mine is yours." He smiled.

Descant gave Dash a strange look. "Oookay... I'll keep you away from fires..." She did seem to be eyeing the fire greedily, almost hungrily... Descant really hoped she had been honest with him about not having burned the hospital. Because now, he was having second thoughts about the honesty of her claim...

Electro Dash continued to tell her story regardless as to if he wanted to hear or not

"You see, it was about 5 years ago. Me Bright Spark, and an alicorn who went by the name of Fire Slayer, were walking through Canterlot at night. This earth pony had bumped into Slay and apologised. But Slayer is the kind of pony to get angry really easily, and threatend the pony. Bright Spark put himself inbetween, saying that he shouldn't attack, and when Fire Slayer did Spark pushed the man to saftey. This however set fire to the building, which was the hospital. I was left to watch. I felt helpless, and was almost enticed to help the fire. It seemed almost enjoyable, perhaps too much. When the pony was interorgated, he said that Spark had helped to calm the fire and save his life, so he got off fine. I however was sent to prison for arson. The one thing that I regretted the most was that a year before, I had adopted a little filly..." she started to cry "she was 9 when i adopted hee. She was 15 last week."

((OOC: The bus ride here is exhausting, but I found a wifi spot. I don't know when the "freak show" will come on, so I'll make the backstory post.))

 

~"SHORT FUSE, LET'S BLOW THIS THING UP!", someone cried out. Short Fuse stepped up to the blast zone, a confident grin on his face. *One blast should do it.", he thought. His horn began to glow white as a small spark shot to the old building. Once it made contact, it started to smoke, and with no warning, the building burst into flames, bricks flying everywhere. Sadly the debris went everywhere... To his friend, and boss... Short Fuse ran out, and pushed him out of the way... Only to be shot by the debris...~

 

The images ran through his mind. Short Fuse only looked to the ground, crying a little. If only he was more careful....

 

((I know, I needed to get more details with this, but it's hard with posting on a phone... And, this is backstage, if no one knew where he was. Rockshire... Is going to be gone until the next day of the circus.))

Rag smiled faintly. "I might take one for Tag... I don't really need another one right now..." She paused for a moment, then made to stand up. "I should probably be getting out of your mane... You have to go on really soon, and so do we..."

Descant looked horrified. It wasn't her fault... She hadn't started the fire at all... He didn't know what to do, or what to say... So he moved in, and hugged her, and stroked her mane gently. "I'm so, so sorry..." He wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do or not, but he just wanted to be there to comfort the mare... He had to at least try something... He retreated slightly from the hug, and kissed the mare lightly on the brow.

Scamps looked back at Aory. 'He didn't hear a word I said...which may be a good thing."' Scamps walked up to Airy and stroked his mane again. "I'm your angel, Airy. I saved you. It's me, Scamps." She said smiling. But if he hadn't heard her before....she couldn't libve with herself of he got hurt again. "Airy....I love you, but....." Scamps sighed, not wanting to face this. "Everytime you're around me, I fwel like I almost end up getting you killed. If you want to leave me for your safety, call off the wedding and everything, I won't blame you." She sighed as she paused. "But I will always love you."

Flame felt a little disappointed but she was right. "Yea...I um...Better get ready." He smiled. "My act is one of the last acts before the freak show so...Afterwards we gotta go get that cider." He trotted over to the fridge and pulled out a jug of milk. "I will find you when the show is over." He said, Pouring the milk into a glass and then turning to face Rag.

Airy's viev got clear after a while, and so did his mind. "Scamps... you saved my life. It never was your fault that I got into trouble. I just should have listened to you." Even though the burning pain in his coat made it very hard for him, Airy managed to get a smile onto his face. "So actually I should be the one being blamed. I didn't trust your abilities and ignored your order."

Airy squinched up his face again due to the pain. "I love you, Scamps. I'd never leave you. It's... it's all my fault, not yours. Because I didn't trust you, I put myself in so much unnecessary danger... Can you forgive me?" Tears came into his eyes. "And please, don't ever do that again. I was so afraid you could... you could have died or been hurt... I was so worried when you didn't reply... I don't want to lose you!"

Electro Dash didn't react, at least not physicly. Her emotions were switching between upset and comfort, and was unsure which emotion was winning. Instead, she held onto Descant. Airy nodded. "They might not technically be too bad, but they surely hurt a lot. I can't even move yet..."

He looked around the room. "Scamps... can you bring me a glass of water? I'm terribly thirsty... it was very hot inside the fire." He tried to stand up himself, but his wounds kept him from every single move. Exhaustedly he sank back onto the sofa. This feeling he had now, being exhausted, not being able to move, having a dizzy mind, it all reminded him of the cruise he had had with Scamps, when he had fallen into the sea and nearly drowned. Scamps had saved him back then as well... and she had kept him from giving away his life just by himself...

"Sure. I'll do anything for you. I'm not on for the rest of the night." She then went and got the water and trotted back to Airy. "Here you go," she said, handing the glass to him. She then sat up next to him on the couch. "I'll stay with you all night. I promise. If you need anything, just let me know." She said, smiling. She honestly didn't want to be anywhere else. She loved being around Airy, even if that reason was that he was hurt.

Dusk looked at his watch. The show was going to start soon, and he didn't see Airy anywhere. "I wonder where the little ran off to. But he can't run... Ah, it's all an expression anyway!" he thought to himself. "Regardless, he better show up."

 

He began to help the other musicians set up, but his thoughts drifted to the artist he met earlier, Chamois. "I have to go see her later," he thought in a determined manner.

Rag nodded, and trotted over to the refrigerator, taking a soda to bring to Tag, and embraced Flame Dancer, again, in a hug. "I guess I'll see you then," Rag said quietly. "We aren't in the finale tonight, so..." She smiled at him. "It shouldn't be too long."

Descant closed his eyes as Dash clung to him... Be there for her was all he could do... He whispered quietly, whispered comforting things into her ear. At that moment, it was just him, and her.

Eventually, Electro Dash felt ok with letting go of Descant. She looked him in the eye. "Im sorry if i seem desperate about anything. It's just that I care about you. That's why I held back to tell you that secret." she watched in the corner of her eye as they moved tge equipment backstage, and started preparing for the next event.

Airy drank from the water. It cooled him down a bit and quenched his thirst. Suddenly the glass was empty and Airy felt way better than before. He wrapped his fore hooves around Scamps' chest and gently pulled her closer to him to lean his head on her.

He heard Scamps' heart beat and felt her body's warmth. And most importantly she was there, right next to him.

And then he remembered something.

"Wait! I still have to play today! I need to go..."

He tried to stand up, but again he wasn't able to move.

"...or clould you tell them I won't be able to play today any more, Scamps?"

Scamps almost didn't want to go. Being here with Airy, feeling his heartbeat.....but that wasn't important. At least, not now. Relunctantly, Scamps got off the couch. "Okay. I'm sure it's okay....after all, it isn't your fault." Scamps then made her way down to where the orchestra was rehearsing,a dn found Dusk. "Hey, Dusk, remember me? Anyways, Airy's hurt from an accident and can't play for the rest of the day. So....yeah. Bye!" She then walked back to Aiey's dressing room and sat back down on the couch with him. She quickly pulled him close and touched her head to his. "Now, where were we?"

Flame hugged Rag back. "Yup, I will find you as soon as my act is over." He smiled and grabbed the jug of milk. "See ya soon." He said, Trotting out the door to the Backstage area.

When his name was announced and the music started he flew out above the audience and did a couple tricks before landing on the stage, drinking some of the milk then lighting a torch.

When the song picked up he blew a big puff of fire into the air. He rinsed his mouth again then grabbed his fire staff. He lit it off the torch and started spinning.

The few minutes Scamps was gone felt like eternities, he really felt lonely when being alone, especially now after that accident. When Scamps came back shortly later, Airy pulled her closer to himself again, hugiing her and laying his head on her. "So... What exactly happened back during your trick? What did go wrong after all?"

"I dropped the lock pick, so I couldn't get out. And the fire started because the remote that made the flames die down failed." She said. She had to try not to smile as she held Airy. She was almost tempted to kiss him, beong this close. But she didn't feel that ir was right. "I love you Airy. I'm sorry for not letting you know I was okay, not coming down sooner. I should have known. This wasn't my first accident with fire......." Scamps then pushed that thought out of her mind. "But the important thing is that you're safe, and nothing that bad happenned this time. You should be able to play tomorrow."

While listening to Scamps' story, Airy just nodded a few times. He didn't want to give her any other bad feelings, so he also didn't ask her about that other accident. But he also noticed that Scamps wanted to do something, something quite obvious.

"I sure hope I will be able to play tomorrow. But by having you around, recovering shouldn't be a problem at all." He smiled at her and slowly pulled her head closer to his one.

"I love you, Scamps. No matter what happens, I'll never let you down."

Their lips only were an inch away from each other. "And the last thing I'd want to do now is cancel our wedding. We both chose to be the other's very special somepony, and to make me retract this decision, something really really horrible must happen."

Scamps smiled as she took the hint. She closed that one inch gap as her lips met his. She kissed him inteny, pulling him close with her hooves. She didn't know if every almost-married couple was addicted to the other's kisses, but Scamps sure was addicted to Airy's. She began to french kiss, putting her tongue on his lip as an invitation for him to do so. She just hoped it wasn't hurting him with all the hormones and crap associated with kissing. But then again, she didn't care, as long as her lips met his, everything was perfect.

The next event had started and but Electro Dash only half turned to see it. * oh good, a distraction* She watched as it was once again, somepony and fire. What is it with theese ponies and fire? She turned fully towards the event, holding Descants hoof "thank you fo understanding..."

Rag sighed, and made her way, slowly, back to her and Tag's room. To her great surprise, Tag had actually taken care of everything before he had started lolligagging. He smiled as he heard her walk in, and without turning around, he said, "What? You expected any less of me?" It was like he knew what she was about to say.

"Well, to be honest, yes, I did," she said shakily, laughing.

Tag could hear something wrong in her voice. He turned around and looked his sister in the eye. "What's wrong? It looks like you've seen a ghost!"

So... Rag started to tell him about what happened to Scamps...

Descant smiled, Dash's hoof warm in his. He watched the blue pony on stage twirling the staff of fire. He smiled when she thanked him, and responded, "You don't need to thank me," quite gently. It looked like it was starting to get late, judging by the light that was streaming in the tent entrance. Descant looked at Dash, and suggested, "When this is all over, do you want to go get something to eat?"

Airy opened his mouth a little bit and enclosed Scamps' tongue with his lips before touching it with his own one. He closed his fore hooves a little more to get her even closer to himself. In such a moment, Scamps and Airy were nearly as close as they ever could be. He felt her chest at his one, her lips at his ones, her tongue at his one. There only was one thing that could have brought them even closer, but for that it wasn't the right time yet, not to mention that there were way better places for that.

 

After a while Airy released their kiss and looked at her. "Scamps... no matter how often I kiss you, every single time is a new special one... I love you."

(soory i havent been on much today. to busy with other stuff but i should be good for the rest of the night)

Hop held her breath as she waited to see oif the performer was alright. It took a while but she finnaly came down from the top of the tent, and Hop let out a sigh of relive. But then she noticed another pony had ran up to the box and seemed to be looking for the other. *That cant be good.*...

 

After a few minutes the escapest had saved the other. Hop was tired from all this excitment and didnt really want to see anymore performers get hurt. She went back to the spot where she had left Umbra, who of course, was asleep. That reminded Hop of the only thing she found annoying about Umbra. He constantly fell in and out of sleep. How ever, she went over to him and shook him awake. "Hey. Im going back to my hotel room. All this is starting to get out of hand and im just not in the mood for watching anymore. Youre welcome to join me if you like." Hop figured he didnt have a hotel room and plus she had end up getting a room with two beds anyways, so she didnt mind sharing.
