Do humans or the idea of humans exist in My Little Pony?

I think because most of the ponies share some human traits (Talking, hair, and actual dresses) and because of what the last MLP show was like. Id rather keep humans out of it.

You have won the Internet

EQUESTRIA HERE I COME

That was trollscience...it won't work...:(

There are 86164 seconds in a day.

If the law of exponential growth applied to 20% cooler in 10s flat,

that means she'd be ((1.2^8616.4) / (100)) - 100 percent cooler in a day, or...

1,609,627,359,881,952,547,291,338,477,537,499,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,900% cooler in 1 day flat!

humans would ruin the awesomeness of equestria with war, racism, unhonesty, etc. so they should and probably will keep humans out of the show

Maybe one where twilight goes on an expedition with the others to find out about a new kind of creature in the wilderness far away from equestrian, and they find Neanderthals. But that would be it! You know, "ooga booga looga!" Maybe they'll be nice to eachother, but have absolutely no words spoken.

I doubt that there will be humans. Its like, why would they need humans in this show? I feel like it would lower the quality.

Despite the fact that Lyra would be very happy.

Haven't we been over this already? You should know what happens when cartoon worlds populated by animals are introduced to...

You know though, I do admit, I did give it some thought. I mean, if they write it well, it could probably work, to some degree. I wouldn't want humans to jump into the forefront of the show or anything like that. But maybe if a good human showed up from time to time it would be alright. Otherwise, we'll end up with this.

Ok. In hindsight, that would actually be kind of cool.

I wouldn't like humans in the show.

Remember Sonic X?

I'm not a Sonic fan, but I saw a few episodes of that show in Japanese for the fun of it about 2 years ago because I was bored and wanted something to do. I remember thinking the first episode wasn't bad, but I couldn't watch the rest because it just didn't interest me. (Especially that kid being all over the place.)

I have thought about what would happen if humans appeared, just like how there were people in the old My Little Pony cartoons. I think the show would go downhill if people were introduced.

Well... in earlier generations they included humans, YOU SEE HOW WELL THAT WENT. I guess it is like Legend of Zelda with voice acting, after the CD-I... NO MORE VOICE ACTING, IT WAS TERRIBLE.

Great adventuring for great treasures!....Except when I'm hurt...

I think humans are mythological in Equestria the same way a good deal of the population is mythological in our world. Hence, babies are entertained by cute images of unicorns and the like here. Invert the idea there.

Why do we always have to assume Nuclear Holocaust is man's final fate? Hasn't this community taught anypony faith in the good of people? Why not we left Earth only to become creatures of legends millenia later when sentience arises again?

Ah I say save it for the movie. It would be like Midnight Castle all over again! ONLY MORE EPIC! Better yet! This . . . .

Agreed. I've gone on record saying how human the ponies are. Not physically anthropomorphisized, but with both flaws and virtues that are very human.

Again, it astounds me that a fandom that has inspired such hope and idealism. Always assumes adding elements of their own species or world is the equivalent of opening the gates of Hell! Guys! We are bronies, we're better than that!

I can't brohoof the above quoted post enough!

It was more or less exactly what i intended to say in this thread ... + some more i agree with!

However, i have only one further thing to point out:

As far as i know, the first Incarnation of MLP included human children, and the ponies were ... ponies, with no upright walking (do correct me if i'm wrong).

The second Incarnation, there were no more human children, but the ponies now could stand and sit like humans. They were also childish, in a different way, inside some town, village, or so.

What had happened inbetween?

Had the pony- and human - forms somehow blended together?

If so, how? Why?

Even though the inbetween incarnations were rubbish, i like the idea of somehow adressing the "History of Equestria" in some way.

Knowing the lack of plotexplanations during the 80's, i assume it never were explained how the human children came there.

They need a villain like Robotnik! Okay maybe not even human, in fact! He might be a simple earth pony or sheep or something not regularly considered intimidating. He would just be an evil genius Lex Luthor type!

Why thank you m'lady!

I really don't want to think about the G2 to G 3.5. However! I have seen some fan material, particularly fanfiction, portray G1 as just that; a lost chapter of history that predates Luna and Celestia's rule. With Dream Valley, the original villains, the original cast, even the humans as having some arcane connection to modern Equestria. A particular example is the pegasus pony Firefly being portrayed as a previous incarnation, distant ancestor, even mother or our own Rainbow Dash.

I think like this, when it was time for the human children to leave Dream Valley for what seemed to be the last time, they didn't really want to leave, without ever coming back ....

So, some source of great magic were sought out, and the wish for the ponies and human children were made true, to never have to depart (while alive).

The result?

Ever since, humans that came there, also turned into ponies.

Also, a very special Alicorn were born.....

While the "G1 cast" were off protecting the area from enemies, other human children came, socialized, and partially copied the world they came from .... they had the shapes of ponies, but moved very much like humans .... and they became G2.

Between the original ponies inability to handle those "newponies", to the newponies introducing petty squabble and whatnot, i think several things may fit in, from G3 & G3,5, to the building of Discord, and the following years of frost .... during which a second alicorn was born.

And then, Celestia reached maturity.

If anyone find holes in my reasoning, and extrapolation, please do point them out .. or even better, seal/repair the holes! :)
