I am a Christian thay does not believe in the trinity doctrine. I also am a Christian that does not brush under the rug the darker aspects of our early history such as the Crusades, Inquisition, Witch Hunts, and the corruption of religious leaders.

I initially came to the forum as I realised it was the nicest place on the internet away from so much of the hate and just generally horribleness that goes on online!

 

Mlp is great and light hearted and not stupidly over sexualised with lots of death and gore ect so it fits into my personality quite well. I hate all of that stuff really, so in a way I guess mlp is escapism for me from the real world. But the real world can be so horrific at times I just can't stand it!

 

I wouldn't call it escapism, this isn't a fantasy world.

This is real people we are talking to who aren't (as you said) oversexualizing anything and being kind and caring to one another, it isn't really escapism, its how god wanted us to live in the first place!

I'm a Christian! Always have been, always will be, and being a brony is not bad. I have no doubts that God loves us all, bronies and non-bronies alike.

 

God planned everything from the beginning of time, and my being a brony, like all things, is part of his plan. Perhaps I'm a brony to be a beacon to non-Christian bronies? Who knows.

I'm Evangelical. Nice to meet you!

I do tend to refer myself as a simple 'Christian' though. I both agree and disagree with some of the Evangelical doctrines. I'm also pro-LGBT as I'm asexual myself.

Season 4, episode 11... so it may be a while before you get to it, mattering where you are in the series.

Darn - I'm only on Episode 5 of Season 1.... Ouch. But at the rate I'm going (3-6 episodes a week) it shouldn't be TOO LONG...

I started after first season had finished and I was waiting for second season to start. After catching up I have watched each episode since it came out on youtube.

Lucky you! I only revently converted to being a brony - prior to that i was VERY anti-brony in fact! But one episode is all it takes... Hooked for life.

 Same story here. I was actually quite a bit of a brony hater until I decided to just give it a try. Comes to show you should never judge things without trying them.

Right here! Grew up and spent most of my life in a non-denominational/Charismatic church, but I've recently started attending a Reformed Presbyterian church. Interesting change to say the least, but it's brought me a much needed fresh perspective.

 

Good to know I'm not the only one who loves God and geeks out about ponies!
