(OOC: My ship feels quite lonely...)

Snowy watched as the crew came up from belowe deck and went about their business. After watching for a few more minutes Snowy walked back to the captains cabin. If he was correct it looked like the two pirate ships that the Arbitrator was following were heading to a port town called Casaflanka.

Slicer happily skipped through the town, He turned town a small deserted alleyway and knocked on a wooden door at the end of the alley.

An old unicorn opened the door and smiled. "Slicer my old friend...How are you ?" He asked.

"Good afternoon Chem...I am feeling quite nice thank you...Is it done ?" Slicer asked, Stepping through the door into a small room full of bubbling potions and strange devices. "Yes it is. I will have my crew install it aboard your ship right away." Chem smiled. "You have my...Payment ?" He asked.

"I do. I am also going to need more greek fire." Slicer said, Pulling a large bag of bits from his saddlebag and giving them to Chem.

"Yes yes. That is right over here." He said, Taking the bits and walking over to a couple large barrels. "Tell your crew to bring that with them when they come. Have a nice day Chem." Slicer smiled at the unicorn then trotted back out the door and down the street towards the bar.

Fade was, for once in a long long time, happily skimming through books at the library. After having had a refreshingly stimulating conversationg with the kind, elderly, librarian, she had taken to camping out in a section of the buildingm flipping through book after book. She had chosen a couple favorites, placing them aside to take with her on the ship.

"I'll make sure they aren't damaged about the ship, sir." She assured the librarian, tucking the books away in the bag draped across her and exitting, continuing down the beaten path toward a quiet looking pub nearby.

Krystal watched as more ships came into port, not really paying any mind to them, it was a relatively busy harbor after all. She turned around and was about to find Sky when she heard him say "Looking for me?".

She turned around and found Sky standing there on the dock, smiling. He must have teleported behind her without her noticing. "You need to stop doing that. You scared me a little" she chuckled as she stepped off her ship.

"But you're so cute when you're scared" he smirked

She playfully punched him in the shoulder as they walked into town together, leaning into each other a maybe little too closely.

Cascade wove her way through the narrow streets of town, making sure they had all the vital things they would need for another voyage. Like food. Slicer was a great captain and a great navigator, but when he wasn't at the wheel, he was below decks, playing with what Cassie called 'His toys'. There were times where he would accidentally blow half the ship away... Her theory was that his brain was slightly addled from the fumes... Ah well. He had a good First Mate to watch his back. Cassie called herself the ship's "Warden", or else, the "Nurse" of the ship, keeping in theme with the name of the Asylum.

She returned to the ship with an assortment of fruits and vegetables and preservatives, and  then returned to the street, wondering what to do with herself. The water was her life, the ship her swaddling babe; she had no place in any kind of city, even the one that was called the World Capital of Piracy.

Arcane finished getting the supplies and paid some workers to bring it to the ship. He returned to Spark and looked at... whatever that thing was, and it obviously wasn't pony. "Alright Spark, I got everything we need. Who is uh... this... thing?" he asked, unsure if it was even alive.

Slicer pushed the bar door open and trotted in. He noticed several crew member's in the corner of the room. He smiled and sat down at their table.

Meanwhile a small group of ponies with a large cart full of supplies had arrived at The Asylum. They boarded the ship and got to work.

"You know", Foaming Glass said to Opal, "I think he's restraining himself because you're here. Usually he's dancing on the tables by now."

Rambler was busy flirting with a barmaid when he decided it was time to take the fun to another level. Rambler shouted to everyone in the bar, "If anyone can outdrink me, I'll buy their drinks for the whole night!"

When he heard somepony yelling about a drinking contest Slicer threw his hooves into the air.

His crew cheered and stopped their hooves onto the ground. "You my friend...Have yourself a deal." He stood up and grinned at Rambler, Showing off his filed teeth and split tongue. He sat down at Ramblers table and laughed.

(OOC: I had a feeling you might be the one who went for it. Now I'm just going to keep typing for a while without telling you the results just keep you in suspense for slightly longer...wait for it... alright I think that's long enough. You made a valiant effort but lost 6-10. Of course I suppose I can't prove that I actually rolled that so for all you know I'm a dirty rotten cheater. Deal with it.)

Rambler slammed his glass down triumphantly, "You didn't do half bad friend, but there's nopony alive who can outdrink me! Still, I respect the attempt. Maybe we can do it again sometime eh?"

"So where do you want to go? We could go to the tavern maybe? Though chances are we'd run into Rambler." Sky asked Krystal, as he looked up at the sky and then back down to her. As he looked into her eyes, memories of all their old adventures together came flooding back. "It's a good life we live." He thought with a smile.

"Even If I were free, would anyone love me?"

A few crew members eyes widened at Slicers question. But they all stayed quiet and sipped their drinks.

"On the rare occasion that I fill my stomach with something other than liquor, yes, I like cupcakes just fine. As a wise man once said, (Rambler breaks out in song, with a surprisingly pleasant singing voice) 'My father he beat me for bein' such a rake after spendin' me money on whiskey and cakes, but the lassies are sweet and it's all for there sakes and it keeps me lighthearted and merry'. That's basically me. So yeah, I enjoy a good cupcake. Now then-",Rambler turned to the rest of the people in the tavern, "I think I've got enough room left for another round, does anyone else want to challenge me?"

(Since he's already had a lot to drink, Rambler doesn't have his advantage if anybody accepts his challenge right now, meaning it would be d12 against d12. Also, that quote is from The Rake by The Irish Rovers)

Cascade wandered aimlessly around the streets for a while, until she noticed the untidy purple garments usually worn by those of the Asylum. They were gathered around the entrance of a bar. Cascade pushed past them, and found their proud pirate captain standing in the midst of them, in a drunken stupor. She groaned. "Come on, Cap," she said patiently, providing a shoulder for him to lean on. "Lets get you back to the ship."

(OOC: Darn. You posted halfway through my original post about her finding you in the bar. I was hoping that would segue to a drinking challenge. It'd be a neat situation, with him respecting the Asylum's first mate.)

@, Magneus almost instantly broke into a fit of laughter, "HAHAHAAAA, you actually think you could beat my first mate at hand to hand combat? I would bet my whole ship on that fight. Okay, if you really want to join my crew, you have to fight my first mate in hand to hand without falling down unconscious, if you do, you don't get to join the crew. Got it?" Arcane offered.

Slicer giggled. "Cascade *Hic* Cascade...That pony likes cupcakes." He burst out laughing and leaned on Cascade as the two of them walked back to the ship.

On board the Asylum, The group of ponies were putting together a device that looked something like a ballista.

Cascade hid the frustration she had with her captain as she supported him, but managed to get a good look at the pony she was sure Slicer had spoke of, who looked just as drunk, but seemed to be standing, quite arrogantly, challenging the bar. Whoever he was, he didn't realise the danger he was in. She carefully guided Slicer, who was drooling slightly, back towards the dock, as she looked over him at the crew member who stood on the other side of him, helping her hold him up.

"Who liked cupcakes this time?" She asked.

"That feller wot he was having a drinkin contest wif, Ma'am."

She decided that she would try and weedle the name out of her captain, and pay this pony a visit later... She wiped some of Slicer's drool off of her comparatively well-kept violet outfit that branded her a member of the Asylum's crew. It was going to be a long day.

(OOC: I've been there, man. It's not too late, if you come back into the tavern after you drop the captain off at the ship, I'll challenge you. It's not like Rambler's going anywhere anytime soon, and Cascade is exactly the kind of person (pony, whatever) I was hoping to challenge.)

"What? Nobody? Ah, you're a bunch of milk-drinking cowards! Unless someone from my last opponents crew would like to avenge him, perhaps save some sense of dignity for the ship?"

Slicer smiled at Cascade. "You know Cascade...You're...You're a *Hic* You're a cool pony...I think I should make you *Hic* Make you my first mate...Wait a sec...HAHAHAHA. You already are *Hic* And you." He looked at the other crew member helping him onto the ship. "You're also pretty awesome." He let go of the two ponies. "Now...Imma gonna go to my...My...Room." He said, Staggering off towards his room at the back of the ship.

Cascade smile disappeared when Slicer disappeared into his room. "I'm going back out for a little bit," she told the fellow that had helped her carry their inebriated captain, whose name escaped her. "O'course, Ma'am," he squeaked as she left the ship.

She fumed slightly as she made her way back to the bar. Here it was again, Cascade walking Slicer along the path he couldn't by himself, and literally this time. Her respect for him had diminished sorely from the time when she had first joined his crew, and he had been an actual captain. Now she did all the work, and he got all the recognition for it. Her bitterness seemed to be reflected in her surroundings, which were completely still, and given a faint, eerie yellow glow from the strange street lamps, long silhouettes tracing lines along the ground. The one that shared her hooves was rather small, but well fit and proud, matching her petite figure and the head she held high as she walked.

She entered the tavern that had so recently been inhabited by her beloved captain. She looked around, and saw that the same pony from earlier was still there shouting hoarsely at whoever had stayed to listen. Evidently he had not been granted his request for another challenge. The purple-clad pegasus moved slowly to the table at which he sat, and sat across from this pony, without saying a word. The light caught strangely on her petite figure, and seemed to highlight her eyes, throwing the faint scar that ran straight down and across her left eye into sharp relief. Her eye, the great orb that resembled the spirit of the ocean itself, was untouched by the line that divided the face around it. It and its twin stared unblinkingly at the pony across the table from them.

(She's staring at him, and has sight in both eyes, even though one has a faint scar running across it. I just thought I'd be a fancy wordsmith there.)

Rambler heard someone sit down and turned to face them, "A new challenger! Well it's about bucking time!", When he looked his competitor over he was surprised to find that it was a petite young mare, hardly the type he would have expected answer his call.

"Well, lass-shall we?"

(OOC: Is it sad that we're four pages in and the most tension we've seen so far has revolved around drinking contests? Because personally I'm enjoying myself, but still, this is kinda weird.)

Cascade shrugged, still without a word. Apparently he wouldn't even talk. He wanted a contest of the drink? So be it. He didn't know who he was dealing with. Cascade may not look it, but she always drank the most of anypony on the Asylum, on the rare occasion she actually joined in the drinking. She could outdrink the Captain twice over. And this fellow, whoever he was, was clearly already pretty drunk.

In answer, she smirked confidently, still without a word.

(OOC: Well, this is embarrassing. I hadn't actually considered what would happen in this situation, although I think it should work out pretty well... And yes, I am just wasting your time by pointedly not specifying what happened, because I have the power to do that and those with power seek to use it. The roll was a tie, 10-10. I actually was hoping Cascade would win, but whatever. Now back to our show.)

Rambler gently set his mug down, wondering why the room was spinning. He could tell his adversary wasn't feeling much better than he was. "Alright, That's enough for me. What say we call it a draw?"
