@@Descant

(OOC: Well, this is embarrassing. I hadn't actually considered what would happen in this situation, although I think it should work out pretty well... And yes, I am just wasting your time by pointedly not specifying what happened, because I have the power to do that and those with power seek to use it. The roll was a tie, 10-10. I actually was hoping Cascade would win, but whatever. Now back to our show.)

Rambler gently set his mug down, wondering why the room was spinning. He could tell his adversary wasn't feeling much better than he was. "Alright, That's enough for me. What say we call it a draw?"

(OOC: The fact that she could match him, though... Does that get any respect points? :P)

Cascade knew her limit, and she knew it well. This stuff was rather stronger than what they kept on the ship, and she would rather like to be able to walk back unsupported, thank you very much. "Fair enough," she said, dipping her head slightly in respect. Big mistake. The world spun rather quickly. Once her dizzy spell had subsided, she said, "I must warn you, though. The pony that you drank with earlier, did he ask you about cupcakes?"

(OOC: A tie was actually probably the best possible outcome. You still get as much respect as you would have if you beat him.)

"Yes, I believe he did. Something about liking them, I think? Anyway, bravo for being able to match me drink for drink. That hasn't happened in years. I don't know how a lass as small as you can even hold that much ale, much less keep it down. We should do it again sometime."

(Rambler doesn't understand how serious your warning is and is too drunk to stay focused on it for long anyway)

Cascade smiled, rather more than she usually would have. "We really should. I'm... I'm Cascade." Her speech was also normal-paced, which was slow for her. "And I gotta say, you're really in danger. Cupcakes means... *Hic* that he's got his eyes on you. He's more than he looks." She worried sometimes that Slicer looked at her funny, too. That cold, calculating look that disagreed with his generally jovial nature. Her ears turned back slightly, almost imperceptibly, at the thought.

((Cascade's not exactly in the best frame of mind to explain it properly, either. I'm gonna post in my other RP and catch some Z's, now. I'm up later than I meant to be.))

(OOC: No one except Slicers close friends know about the list. He usually asks ponies when he firsts meets them. When Cascade first met Slicer she wouldn't have known about it...Why would she have lied ?)

Slicer lay down on his bed and looked up at the ceiling. *My crew is so awesome...I think we should throw a party or something.* He thought, rolling onto his side and looking out the window at the ocean. His thoughts drifted around Cascade then he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

(Going to bed. Good night everypony.)

"His eyes on me... huh. Well I guess that's...that's something, right there. Yep, definitely something. But, you, you're a nice lass, I like you... And I don't say that about everyone... Well, I say it to a lot of ponies, because I usually get along with other ponies pretty well... but I especially mean it this time. I doubt I'll forget this night, despite how much memory-eroding alcohol I've had."

(OOC: My ship feels quite lonely...)

Snowy watched as the crew came up from belowe deck and went about their business. After watching for a few more minutes Snowy walked back to the captains cabin. If he was correct it looked like the two pirate ships that the Arbitrator was following were heading to a port town called Casaflanka.

(OOC: Timezones, curse them to the depths)

Rich knocked on the door of the captain's cabin then let himself in before waiting for a reply.

"Here's the ship report, damage, injury, that sort of thing. Nothing too major." Rich wasn't sure if he was supposed to list all the details himself, but it was all written down if the captain wanted to know the specifics. Rich considered it inefficient for him to stand their and recite information that the captain probably didn't care about anyway.

"Next time you go on deck, you probably should have a good reason for it. I think half the crew thought you were going to start punishing them for losing those pirates."

(OOC: Indeed, they truly suck at times)

"Thank you." Snowy replied as he glanced over the report. "Well at least there were no significant losses. So, tell me Rich, what do you know of the port town of Casaflanka? It seems as if that is where those two pirates are heading. Oh and one more question..." Snowy paused to look up at Spotted Rich, "Are the men really that scared of me?"

Rich thought for a moment. "Perhaps I was exaggerating a little. The combination of the battle and you walking about on deck, the crew was probably expecting you to start yelling. As for Casaflanka, I'm not too familiar with it. Not the most respectable of places from what I hear. I assume we're going to follow."

@@,

*ahem hem* Spark said, clering her throat loudly. "I was thinking meet here, in about two hours. I have some shopping for the ship to do." Minath said. Of course she needed to shop. Her whole plan involved disctracting Red with her little skimpy outfit then beating him to a pulp while his gaurd was down. And she still needed those new oiling clothes. "Arcane, are you going to come with me?" Spark may act tough, but this big port city kindof frightened her. She didn't want to be alone.

"So where do you want to go? We could go to the tavern maybe? Though chances are we'd run into Rambler." Sky asked Krystal, as he looked up at the sky and then back down to her. As he looked into her eyes, memories of all their old adventures together came flooding back. "It's a good life we live." He thought with a smile.

The first thing Krystal thought when he asked was "I didn't come all the way to Casaflanca just to go to some bar" but then she though about it some more. She'd already been to all the shops before and it wasn't likely that they had anything new. Plus, the local tavern would be the best place to get some promising leads on new 'jobs'. "Sure" she replied, walking into the bar with Sky.

In the back of her head, she was a little worried about leaving her boat unattended but she knew that Hassan would watch it for her. They'd been friends for a while and she trusted him.

(OOC: I'm too lazy to redo all my posts to accommodate for Krystal and Sky having been in the tavern the whole time, so I'm just going to assume they arrived after the second drinking contest.)

Since the drinking contest Rambler had just been sitting at the table with Cascade, barely conscious. When he saw his captain walk into the bar, he snapped out of his half-asleep state. He hadn't expected to see Krystal and Sky in here. They didn't drink, not the way he did, at least; he'd never seen either of them drunk before, or even close to it. Too drunk to have any confidence in his ability to walk over to them without falling, Rambler instead called over to them from across the bar.

"... Hey! Hey cap'n! What are you doing here? You never go drinking with me."

"... Hey! Hey cap'n! What are you doing here? You never go drinking with me."

"Thanks for announcing to the world that I'm a captain" she thought, a bit annoyed. "Well between you and me, I can't really hold my liquor that well. Sky can testify to that" she joked, smiling at Sky. "So has anything interesting happen around here lately?"

The list contains only the names of a few of the more infamous pirates and the names of their ships, no more information than that. Well you said that it is not 'the most respectable of places'. I assume it's a pirate town?"

(OOC: So I know someone wouldn't get sober this quickly but imma say that Slicer has been laying in bed for a while and...yea, Hope that's ok.)

After sleeping for a while Slicer awoke and groaned. "Uggghh...That was such a bad idea." He muttered, rubbing his forehead and then climbing out of bed.

Then he heard the sound of the workers above his room. Every time they hammered in a nail Slicer winced.

He walked out of his room onto the deck of his boat. "Cap'n Are you alright ?" Asked one of the crew members. "Yea yea...I gotta get away from these workers...And these hammers." He said, Walking off the ship and onto the docks.

Nightfall looked across the harbor. At least one more ship had pulled in. It looked small, which means fewer guns, yet fast, which means quick get-aways. He looked at his crew.

"Make sail!"

He himself to the helm.

"And full sail at that! No need for too much trouble, eh?"

Electro Dash agreed amosngst the others "Eye eye, capain'" before dashing of to lower the sails. She worked a little faster than the others, a little more eager to sail than usual. She was tempted to sing...

*burp* was all that came out though. And besides, singing is a distraction when there is work to do. That unloyal, and gets you less rum.

(OOC: im going to go with the "kind of in love with" feel with the captain for Electro Dash.)

Arcane nodded and followed Spark, he didn't really trust that garbage pony... he still didn't believe it was a real pony. "Funny, i would think you would be able to take care of yourself in a city, you really that scared?" he joked with her. His crew knew he was serious most of the time on ship. But off the ship, he was generally a pretty cool pony in their opinions.

Slicer was just about to make his way into town when he remembered. "HEY...Where Did Cascade Go ?" He called up to one of his crew members. "I think she went back into town sir." Slicer nodded and continued walking into the town.

*She probably went back to the bar...To talk to that pony that likes cupcakes. Most likely, yes.* He thought, Pushing the door to the bar open and walking in.

Cascade was goggling at the pony her drinkin' buddy stated to be his ship captain when her own captain walked in.

"Oh. Hello, Slicer," She giggled, uncharacteristically. "What brings you here?" She wobbled slightly, and thought, "I really need to get some water," out loud.

"Well, we're following two pirate ships there, so I don't think it's that much to a stretch to consider it as such." Rich hadn't been a sailor for very long, he didn't know what he was talking about, but he'd never let that stop him before. "I don't think trying to take the pirates on while they're there is a good idea. There's already two ships we know about, plus whatever number of ship are already there and the locals. I don't suppose there's much hope for reinforcements?"

However, when he moved to catch her (I assume he would, since they had to him, and the tables have turned) she laughed, and said, "I've always been able to hold mine down better than you could, Slicer. I'll be fine." They walked out of the bar, and she said slowly, "I beat 'im fer ya, Slicer. I beat him at his own game fer ya."

Nightfall noticed her speed and determination.

"You there! Little lass! Up to the bridge!"

He assumed she would know that he wanted her to come up to the bridge. He was intrigued by the speed of her work and wanted to know why she wanted to get to sea so eagerly.
