She stared at him, apprecation sweling upin her eyes. "You....you really do?" She asked. "I...I just can't imagine why, though. I'm not pretty, everything I do is a mistake....I'm not anything special. I'm suprised I have two colts trying to get me, not just one..." She sighed. "Oh," she remembered. "I still have to talk to Goldseek. Myabe this would be easier if you two just forgot about me and moved on..."

Dusk looked around at the surrounding flowers as they opened up, and a smile crept on his face. There was nothing he wanted more right now than to hug this mare so tightly, just with her understanding she had made him so happy. "I...I kinda dont want to leave now" he mumbled "I'd just like to sit here with you for a while, it'd be nice" He took one step closer to her nervously, as if he was intending to do something but wasn't sure if he should.

Somber hugged her, looking at her.

 

"Stop saying that. There's one pony that doesn't think you're a klutz, one that doesn't think you're ugly and one that doesn't care about some silly past. And that pony is me."

 

That was probably the first time that Somber had actually said a sentence without breaks or not getting nervous... He felt a new warmth.

Scamps hugged him back, trying to think. Here she had Somber, a pony who loved her, but so did Goldseek. Somber was calm, and helped her move on, and would never let her down. He had convinced her for the moment that everything would be perfect, that she wouldn't hurt him. Goldseek was somepony she could laugh with, forget about all her worries for a moment. But when that moment was over, when she needed somepony to help her get through a bad day.....

 

She looked up at Somber. "I've made up my mind," she whispered. She then, slowly but surely, leaned in and kissed him passionately.

"Mmm I can smell the food from here" Silver looked at Leaf and smiled, he was really cute, especially when he blushed. She giggled to herself and continued along still happy to be with him,and just to be there.

They had now just reached the banquet. There, Leaf could smell, like a million smells. The food was all grown, fruits and vegetables  There was no meat, but that wasn't the important part. Some were in recipes and some where just there to take. It would make Leaf drool, but not in front of Silver!

She then laid down on the ground and all of her hunger seemed to vanish. " So tell me, how come you moved from Hollow Shades to Ponyville?" she asked to get a casual conversation going again. She also wanted to share a secret that she had been keeping from everypony except for her father ever since she found him.

He sat down beside Star, still admiring the flora around them. He smiled once again, acknowledging the fact that she had paid attention to him before, and was now trying to start a conversation - something he seemed to have trouble doing. "Well" he started, staring off into the sky "Hollow shades was your average work-a-day village, everypony worked for their living, and no family was an exception, but it was hard down there. There were so many ponies in such a small village, the pay had to be spread thin - come to think of it, im not even sure where the everypony got their money from to pay others in the first place." He lay down on the ground, keeping his head high as he spoke. "We moved up here a while back, mainly because it's a more prospering village. There's more money to go around and less strain for working daily - here you can actually take a day off if you need to. That being said, my mother and father have gone to work somewhere around Sweet Apple Acres, I dont speak to them much anymore though" he paused for a few moments, as if something was bothering him "I suppose...I kinda miss my old home, I left all my friends behind and have struggled to make new ones here. You're one of the first ponies i've held a proper conversation with for a long time...that's...probably why im a little rusty" he chuckled.

"Almost sounds like me, except I never had a friend until I moved to Ponyville," Star Rain replied with only a trace of laughter. "I don't miss my old home in Canterlot at all. Way too many bad memories there and ponies I never want to see again." The glint in her eyes faded away, something that when she's calling back a really bad memory. "I actually didn't move from Canterlot. I ran away and found my father at last," she said sadly, forcing herself not to cry.

He was silent for a moment, unsure if to say or do anything. Eventually he found something to say "Well...everything worked out for the best right? I can only imagine what must've made you run away, and if you found your father then...?" He could hear Stars voice changing, as if she was holding something back, and his ears dropped as his head tilted understandingly. What do I do now..? He was thinking to himself, trying to think of a way to comfort her.

Scamps hugged him back, trying to think. Here she had Somber, a pony who loved her, but so did Goldseek. Somber was calm, and helped her move on, and would never let her down. Although Somber tried his best to think that he was already chosen, he was definitely surprised by Scamps' kiss. The new feeling of warmth was doubling in size. He leaned back to her and returned her kiss with the same amount of passion, bringing her body closer for a hug.

Rain chuckled. "We can do whatever you want." He said, Sitting down next to her. "You can finish eating before we do anything if you want...I'm easy." He said.

 

 

Diamond stood up. *I came here to have fun...Not to just sit here and do nothing...I'm going to go make a fool of myself dancing.* She thought, Walking over to the dance floor. She walked over to the DJ (Who I assume is Descant) and asked. "Wanna play something fast and electronic ? I am going to get everypony dancing." She grinned.

The DJ (Who I hope I can control just slightly) Nodded and flicked a few buttons.

Lila finished her sandwich and smiled at Rain. "I guess im ready to go where ever." She said as she sat next to him giving him a quick peck on the lips. "So do you want to go dance or something like that, or do you want to do something else. I dont really know where anything is here." She said looking up at the sky, clear as glass.

She didn't know what to think. She blushed furiously, and hid her face for a moment to think. He had complimented her. He had actually complimented her! Clearly, he had never seen her angry, but... He was so sweet. She unburied herself and simply looked at him. The rose in her hair had perked up, and looked completely radiant, as did all the other plants in the general vicinity.

 

When the plants and her rose perked up, he looked over at her, and blushed. Her coat was more of a pale gold and her mane was a slightly darker green. She became even more pretty, which made his blush deepen.

"Your rose... Your mane.. Your coat... they're more... something must have happened because you look... stunning..."

"Will she take offence at that..?"

Scamps felt Somber's body come closer to hers as she wrapped her hooves around him. Subconciously, her tongue darted into his mouth as the kiss intensified. The longer the kiss went, the more she was sure she had made the right decision. She could feel her pain and worry melt away just by being with him. She slowly pulled away from the kiss and laid her head on his shoudler lightly as she let out a brief moan. "I love you," she whispered into his ear. "I know that for sure now."

He was silent for a moment, unsure if to say or do anything. Eventually he found something to say "Well...everything worked out for the best right? I can only imagine what must've made you run away, and if you found your father then...?" He could hear Stars voice changing, as if she was holding something back, and his ears dropped as his head tilted understandingly. What do I do now..? He was thinking to himself, trying to think of a way to comfort her.

Dusk's words comforted Star Rain enough to make the hidden tears disappear. Only one tear managed to get out, but nothing else followed it. "My parents were breaking up. My father was pretty much the one who did all of the caring for me, so he should've been the one to take me with him. But my mother managed to pull some strings and sent him away without me," she said, now with an anger-edged voice. "For 10 years since that day, I've had to live with her, the mare who tried to control everything I did. Apparently though, I can never be controlled. She was always complaining about me having a strong heart," she continued on. She then put a hoof underneath her mane, which concealed a scar from a magic blast.

She swatted at the hedge next to her, but her smile remained present. "You don't look half bad yourself," She told him, finally having pulled the strength together to look him in the eye for longer than a nanosecond.

Silver giggled and accepted the peach. " how strange, I've never had this before." She bit into the peach and felt its cool juices run down her throat. " Wow! This is amazing!" She took another bite and closed her eyes savoring the taste as if it was the last thing she would ever eat again.

Diamond smiled when she noticed another pony and...Whatever the other thing was walk out onto the dance floor. *Bout time.* She thought, As the song changed.

"I'm sorry to hear that, no filly should have to put up with something like that, but...it's over now, right?" he asked with a concerned and worried look on his face "you found your father, and you've not seen your mother for a while I assume. You can settle down now, can't you?"

"You're right. Life got way more better after I made that decision. And I've never regretted it once," Star Rain replied, all calm now. Then her stomach started to ache and rumble. She turned red with embarrassment. "Yeah, maybe we should go get something to eat now... What would you rather do? Walk or have me teleport us to the entrance?" she asked, feeling very hungry now.

"I may be underfed at the moment, but I can teleport us out. If we keep walking, there's a good chance we could get even more lost," Star Rain stated, half panicky, half bluntly. "Hold on to my hoof, I'm going to teleport," she said, wrapping her hoof around Dusk's. Her horn glowed cyan and surrounded them in a cyan light. They then appeared at the entrance to the garden, just like she promised. She wobbled a little, then punched her horn a little, which seemed to be the cure for magic-induced headaches.

"Woah...so that's what it feels like" Dusk said as he wobbled around, disoriented from the sudden jump. "Star? Do you mind if next time you teleport us...I walk?" He had almost fallen over after saying this "I'm not used to that kind of transport just yet." 

 

He looked across as Star,  "heh, cool" he remarked upon seeing the 6 unicorns hitting themselves in the horn. His vision soon returned to normal and he saw just the one again, to which his response was a simple "Aww" followed by a joking frown.
