"Y-Yea...I thought you thought it was tonight. Never mind." She shrugged and put on her hat back on. "Where to now Mr Nightfall ?" She asked, throwing her jacket over her shoulder, not bothering to put it on. "Or should we just stay here ?" She said, glancing around the room.

"We could stay here for a little. I wouldn't mind that."

"So it was only swing dance lessons tonight. Oh, well. That's ok."

He sat down a little, chuckling at both her comment and at himself.

"And please. Calling me Mister may make me feel a little good, it makes me, like you, feel old."

Coco hurried out of the classroom. She trotted outside and got herself into flying. She tried to be in the shop as soon as possible, which made her wings full of snow. She got again lost in this labyrinth of racks. She bought a laverbread and seaweed tea. She also visited an aquarium shop.

Again, she tried to get back as soon as possible. The wind was blowing strongly and her wings were dripping wet with snow, just like her mane. She finally got near her window, and got inside carefully.

"Okay Slimy, I'm back, and I have a .. a lunch for you. Not as fancy as the last time, but don't worry. Soon, I'll be able to make you dishes on my own.." she said, shivering. Slimy was staring at her. She looked like a bunch of wet straw.

She gave Slimy the laverbread. "As I said, it doesn't look like the most tasty thing in the world, but it shouldn't be too bad.."

"Thank you, miss Cocodrillo. But.. you should eat something too. Also, you're shivering.. I'll go and bring you something to wipe yourself."

"No Slimy. Stay here and enjoy your lunch. I'll go get some water so I can make you a tea." she said. She went to the bathroom, filled the kettle with water and turned it on. She also got a bucket of water, put it next to the heating and put the seaweed into it.

Coco took off everything she could and covered the heating with it. She took an old piece of rug and wiped her wing frames. "It would be too bad if those got corroded... 4Fe + 3O₂ + 6H₂O → 4Fe(OH)_3... yeah, the bronze isn't something that is easy to corrode, but still.. it'sjust a mix of copper and tin, and both of those corrode.. just on the surface, but still... After today, nothing's impossible."
She tried to wipe all of her, but the rug was already too wet.

She prepared the seafood tea for Slimy. "Carefully. I don't want it to melt you. Blow it.." she blowed a spoon with tea for him. "Like this. So.. how is it?" she asked after Slimy tasted the tea. "It's great. Thank you. But..."

But she has gone to bathroom. She rubbed herself with towels. "I hope the snowing will end up soon.. I want to teach you something. Do you like the book so far?" "Yeah. I finished it. It was original. I can see why I am your tiger now."

"Oh my.. wait.. he can... read? How the hell does he know how to read?! I'm so stupid I haven't realised until now..."

"Slimy.. where, where.. did you learn to read?!"

"Oh.." Slimy smiled. "When I was just a sample.. I saw you writing all those notes. And you were so cute, saying what you're saying while writing it.." Coco blushed. "I could see everything you've written. And somehow.. it just came to me when I saw those letters once again."

"You're .. ingenious!" Coco was fascinated. Coco's pet woke up from all this noise and welcomed Coco with attack jump. She patted it. "Sorry for being noisy, kitty cat."

"Well.. I got it from you. Just like everything."

Coco blushed again. "There's so much things I could teach him.. but he needs to be taught by more ponies.."

"Slimy, tell me when you're finished with your lunch. Don't rush anywhere. I'll take you to the lab with me."

"Nothing new." Slimy gave her a smile.
"Oh.. yeah. But this time, it will be different."

Coco lay on the carpet. All the sleepless nights, hunger and cold made her knees weak.

Diamond chuckled and sat down next to Nightfall, then she cuddled up next to him. "I could call you sir instead." She said, jokingly. "You're right, you're right. I'm sorry. Mrs, Ms, Mr, Sir...They do all sound like something a king or some old wise unicorn would want to be called." She said.

Arcane left his dorm and headed for the magic training area's, just to relax a bit. "I hope Coco will be able to forgive me" he thought out loud to himself.

Lila flipped through the books of spells she got from the library and a few saved pages from her old books that got ruined from that smoke spell she used. In the corner of her eye she caught a glimps of something on fire. Then a little over there was a stallion she hadn't seen before. She decided to cast a spell she hadn't used before. Aiming at one of the targets her horn ignited a bright flame, then on cue a large gout of flame shot out to her target, setting it ablaze in seconds. She smiled at her handy work. "Thank you magic class." She said to herself with a small chuckle.

Coco watered her carnivorous plants, catched some flies and fed them.

"I need to get a part-time job if I want to keep everyone fed..."

This reminded her the last snack she had was the hot chocolate from Arcane. She was that Slimy was done with his lunch.

"Okay Slimy. Let's go. I promise it won't take long.. just a few notes. I just need to check what would liquid iodide do with that unknown dust and then we'll return. I want to teach you something important."

Slimy helped her with packing. He remembered all the books and samples she always gets with herself.. he used to be in that bag too, after all. He carried the bag for her.

The lab was empty as always. "Sweet."

Slimy observed Coco, as she was carefully adding liquid iodide to a little sample of unknown dust. It was a glittery dust, and smelled like hair on fire. "Nothing special.." she said with no interest and made a few notes in her diary. "But at least something. I don't want to get you bored, Slimy. That's all for today."

Slimy packed all of the stuff for her once again. They got back to Coco's room.

"I'll start with red... that's the only colour that I used so far, after all..."

"Okay Slimy. I want you to relax now but to be as expressive as possible." she put her headphones on his ears and the picture in his hooves.

 

 

 

 

"Now.. just relax, and feel. Whatever you'll get on your mind.. tell me. This is no test, Slimy. I do it for you."

Slimy didn't say anything for a start. Coco started feeling impatient. She started to sing with his headphones.

 

"How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out then you cut the string.."
 

Slimy seemed to percieve better when Coco was singing to him. He stared on the picture as he was listening to the music and her voice.

"I feel.. anger. Danger. I can see a fire. It's... alarming."

 

"Oh my glob, it works." she started taking notes.

"You used to be alright
What happened?
Did the cat get your tongue?
Did your string come undone?"

 

"It feels.. violent and powerful. And self-confident."

"One by one
One by one
It comes to us all
It's as soft as your pillow."

 

"Fiery and noble... it's gaining everything. Energy.. Strangely.. thrilling. More like exciting.."

"Facts for whatever
Fifteen steps
Then a shear drop."
 

"I feel changes. Posturing. I can hear noise.."

 

Coco smiled. Everything he mentioned was what the colour was supposed to make him feel.

"You did great." she gently patted him.

"Now he should meet a "red" pony.. so he can see all those emotions.."

 

(The drawings will be shitty, too busy. I have to make a Valentine's day animation gift and I have just 43 pictures right now.. classic. Leaving everything fr the last time..)

Arcane looked over to the mare who had just casted a spell, but it was hardly commendable.

 

"Was that just for fun? Or were you actually trying?" he asked. Maybe he could help this mare, if she was new to magic class that was.

 

"Cause if you were actually trying, I could show you how to control the flame, instead of just casting it. I lit the centre of my target, and nothing else caught fire, and nothing else will catch fire."

Diamond chuckled and sat down next to Nightfall, then she cuddled up next to him. "I could call you sir instead." She said, jokingly. "You're right, you're right. I'm sorry. Mrs, Ms, Mr, Sir...They do all sound like something a king or some old wise unicorn would want to be called." She said.

"Or old alicorn... Maybe one that didn't have any friends for a long time. Who knows?"

He chuckled a little, putting a hoof around her. He stroked her mane with that hoof.

"You know what? I had heard of the Hearth's Warming Prom, and wondered if I'd be lucky enough to go. I doubted it, just arriving. But things are much better than I thought. Apparently, I have pretty good luck."

You seem fairly confident."

Slide chuckled. "Yes, I believe I do understand. Although, we could like, cuddle while like, watching a movie and eating popcorn. Or something like that. I just don't want you roommate to walk in and freak out because we're cuddling.....on abed...." He added, knowing somepony would get the wrong impression.

He chuckled, nuzzling her a bit. And he nodded.

Diamond smiled as he nuzzled her. "I'm happy you're happy, and life will just get better. Prom is going to be wonderful and full of fun and friends. we'll all get drunk...or not...either way there will be dancing and fun and games and woohoo." She said, her voice full of excitement.

Arcane looked towards the target he set on fire. Although a small circle, Arcane was impressed with himself. 

 

"My spell wasn't meant for damage or effectiveness, it was meant for precision and control. The fact that I could create a perfect circle of fire that doesn't spread at all in ONE SECOND, is pretty amazing."

 

Arcane thought about her offer for a duel, but he knew she wouldn't stand a chance. 

 

"I don't think a duel will be necessary. Besides, we would probably get in trouble if anypony found out. Sorry we got off on the wrong hoof. I'm Arcane. I specialize in offensive magic's, sadly..."

"I even learned a few neutral spells that i can teach you. Very simple even a filly in magic school can learn these." Lila added while still flipping through.

"Well you're not the first to ask." Lila said setting down the book. She then went up to Arcane and looked him over with a skeptical eye. "Alright, ill go with you. But why me? Theres nothing special about me... well there is one thing but thats not important right now."

"Enough for today... I'll continue with orange tommorow, yellow the day after tommorow... It must be confusing for him, so many of new feelings..."

"These words... I don't know. They just came to me. I've never used them before.."

"It's okay. You've learned a lot. The feelings are more important than just words. Remember that."

Slimy nodded. Coco remained silent for a few minutes, resting on the carpet.

"I heard .. that there's going to be a prom soon. I have no idea what that soon means. It could be tonight, it could be in a week..."

"A prom..?"

"You know, a fancy event. Everypony gets dressed to kill and there are usually some formal speeches and stuff, and then everypony dances to music. You know.. feels the rythm and lets his body move with it." Coco was silent for another minute.

"I see."

"The thing is - nopony's probably going to ask me if I want to go with them. I'm not surprised, to be true." she got a feeling of disappointment. "I.. didn't even know there's going such an event. Until now. But main is the core - I'll take you with me, even if somepony sacrifies themselves and asks me to go with them. It will help you a lot. The dancing is a good way to feel. It will also help you with controlling your body. And you can observe acting of other ponies. It will be useful for you in many ways."

She patted him gently. Slimy looked unsure.

"If you don't want to go, you don't have to. I don't know if I'll go, anyway.. But don't worry - I won't let anypony hurt you."

Slimy seemed happy. Coco realised that his hooves got a shade of red.

"Oh my.. his feelings can be seen on him.."

She was thinking for a second. "I need to get somepony to meet him before the prom, so he gets used to be around other ponies.."

Lite wasn't expecting that kiss, or the quiet, sudden moaning that she has managed to break out into. All that passion that was pent up in her was now just being released. Her tongue in his mouth, her hooves bringing his body right next to hers.... Nothing really wouldn't ruin this moment... And just to be safe...

 

Her horn started to glow a mix of yellow and black, as the door that just open was now silently shut, locked, and-- with Night Shimmer's touch-- magically chained up, just so they wouldn't be disturbed...
